Has anybody been able to find any trial dates etc? I can’t find anything newer than 11/2023
The local news seemed to have the most details following his Nov 2023 hearing:

11/20/24

Bond hearing reserved, Dec. 22 filing deadline

[..]

Edmund Davis Harris, who was 36 when he was charged in October, entered his pleas of not guilty before state District Judge Kaydee Snipes Ruiz in District Court in Havre.

After Davis' attorney Casey Moore requested time to talk to the prosecution and other parties about bond, Snipes Ruiz reserved the issue of a motion on changing bond.

Davis, who entered his plea via video from Hill County Detention Center, was being held this morning on $1 million bond.

Snipes Ruiz set Dec. 22 as the deadline for omnibus motions.

Special Deputy Attorney Daniel Guzynski, who is representing the state as lead prosecutor, also asked for confirmation that Davis had discussed the potential penalties with his attorney, which Moore said they have discussed.

The first charge, for possessing electronic communication images of a child or children 12 or younger, carries a minimum 100-year prison sentence, 25 of which may not be suspended or deferred, and the second charge, for possessing images of children younger than 16, can result in imprisonment for life with a minimum sentence of four years.

Davis was arrested in Chinook Oct. 23 by Blaine County Sheriff's Office personnel and agents from the Montana Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation.

A press release from the Montana Attorney General's Office said charges were filed under seal the previous week to help ensure a safe arrest.

The 36-year-old boyfriend of a teenage girl who went missing in 2019 has been charged with two felony counts of sexual abuse of children “resulting from child sexual abuse material found on his cell phone,” Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen announced Tuesday.

Edmund Davis was arrested Monday afternoon in Chinook, Montana. The material was allegedly found on a cellphone he tossed into a garbage can during a police search of his home on July 26, according to charging documents filed in Hill County District Court.

The cache of material included photos of infants, toddlers, and “prepubescent” children, at least one of whom was in bondage gear, the documents state. There “were also a multitude of pictures found that are computer generated or animated content showing apparent children being sexualized,” the documents say

Update: Trial continued, no status hearing scheduled, defendants bail reduced, and no evidence the defendant is out of custody.

From the 10/2/24 MSM quoted post:

Sentencing is scheduled for December 16, 2024.

Prosecutors have asked the court to sentence Davis to the Montana State Prison for 100 years, with 50 of the years suspended; and a 25-year parole restriction.

I believe these charges have nothing to do with AN and he could still face federal charges for her case. Celebrating this man will not likely ever see freedom again for the remainder of his natural life. JMO

Right, and hope he still gets charges for AN's case. Fifty years suspended, kinda weird to me how they do that, but like you say, he is likely imprisoned for rest of his life. Where he needs to be!

RBBM: I was under the impression that he was already facing federal charges for bringing AN across state lines?

My understanding is that the charges are for the child *advertiser censored* only, completely separate from AN. If I recall correctly, there are no charges against him concerning AN because AN was an adult when found with him, and she said he didn't have anything to do with her before she was of adult age. I could be wrong, though. It's been a while.

I think I've forgotten some of the details as well. Hard to believe the way this has turned out considering AN was a child, a minor for so long prior to being located. MOO.
