Now we have a few people in prison for Ame's death - one more to go - her uncle John Allen. I believe his trial is/was supposed to start today, but I haven't found anything on that.

"Lack of remorse was the biggest thing that played into it for us, that we didn’t see that from Sammantha throughout the whole process," said Juror Anne S.

Throughout the trial, the jury says seeing evidence photos of the victim was the hardest.

They say they 'kept open minds' but when looking for reasons not to choose the death penalty, they say they had a hard time coming up with any.

John Allen's trial was pushed back to October 9th.

Monday, October 9th:
*Trial to begin - AZ - Ame Deal (10) (July 12, 2011) - John Allen, uncle accused / The three other adults — Judith Deal, Cynthia Stoltzmann and David Deal, who is Allen's uncle -- all are serving prison terms after being convicted of child abuse related to Ame's death/Allen's wife (Samantha) rec'd death.

I wonder what coverage there will be for his trial. It was really lacking for Samantha Allen's trial. Waiting for Monday and final justice for AME. I have a daughter called Aimee so It strikes a chord with me.

Glad this poor little girl is getting justice. It doesn't seem like cases like this make much of a difference in helping future kids, though. =(

Slightly OT, but WTF is wrong with Maricopa county? The Gilbert 23, the William Jones kidnapping and debacle, this. So much messed up stuff happens down there.
