Angela Brosso went missing near Cactus & 23rd Ave.. Did he actually live near there too back in 1992? I haven't read where he was living at the time

Everyone on facebook has probably seen people posting pictures of their past on Thursdays known as Throwback Thursdays (TBT). I know we have all seen pictures of what the suspect looks like today but he did post a picture of what he used to look like on one TBT on facebook. This is probably more of what he looked like back in 1992. I wonder if there were any police descriptions of murders or missing people back then that might have looked like this

Here's the quote that says his grandmother owned the home.

"These two cases shocked our community," Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump said. "This is a win for the homicide unit. This is a win for the community. This is an individual that has gone under the radar for 20 some years. We believe that shortly after these murders he moved out of state and ultimately came back here we believe after a grandmother who owned this home here behind us died."

Something to keep in mind when looking for possible victims:

Detective William Schira, an officer at the time, remembers patrolling the area on his bike. "I don't remember seeing a lot of people out and about on the bike trails," says Schira. Schira is now one of the Phoenix Police Department's cold case investigators re-examining the cases. There are a lot of similarities.

"They were stabbed multiple times but there was one very distinctive stab wound."

In both cases, investigators believe the girls were killed between 7 and 9 p.m., murdered within yards of the bike paths.

Hopefully that calling card stab wound will help identify more victims if any exist. Which I think is very likely...

Yep. He admitted to living near the location, but denies having any involvement and doesn't know how his DNA got on them.

I think Angela Brasso lived near Cactus & 23rd Ave. and not him. I believe she went for a bike ride heading South to the park near where the AZ canal runs. This would be closer to Dunlap Ave. and much closer to Sunnyslope from there. Also, the Arizona Canal water travels East to West. This would explain why a jogger found a body part of hers in the canal near the Metrocenter Mall which would be just West of the park. Almost a year later, Melanie Bernas, who went to school at Arcadia Highschool (this is located on the East side near Indian School Road & 48th street). She went for a bike ride along the canal the day she disappeared. The Arizona Canal runs right near here too. He could have lived in Sunnyslope at that time and still be near where the attacks occured.

Coincidentally, there is a popular bar near Arcadia Highschool that is very popular with those that ride bikes along the canal today called O.H.S.O. Eatery & Brewery. I can see under his facebook reviews that he visited this location from time to time. The bar wasn't there back then but I wonder if he knew the bike trail that far East near her highschool.

Ms. Cano's body was found not far from a different canal and she was stabbed in South Phoenix. This is a good distance from the area of the other murders but she was last seen at a bar near the Christown Mall. This location is very close to the other murders and Sunnyslope. He would have been 19 years old, so he may have had a car or access to one and could have possibly gone to the local bar (I did at that age in NY).

On February 5, 1992 at 1055 hours, Cynthia Cano was found by a pedestrian in a drainage ditch south of the Roosevelt Irrigation District Road at approximately 2000 South 47th Avenue. The victim had been stabbed, but she was still breathing. She was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries at 1209 hours. The victim was last seen 10 hours earlier leaving alone from a bar near 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.

I think he was living back in Phoenix in 2012. The guy had an IMDB page and under Trivia he states, "Phoenix, AZ, USA: living and working [June 2012]" He also mentions his date of birth, "Bryan P. Miller was born on October 24, 1972 in Trenton, Michigan, USA"

Investigators are combing through a home they say Miller shared with his teenage daughter. The small house at the corner of 9th Street and Mountain View, police say, was once owned by "a grandmother." When the woman died, Miller and his daughter moved back to Phoenix to live in the home described by police as a hoarding site.

Maybe the home his grandmother owned was left to other relatives and they allowed Miller to live there.

His landlady described him as “quiet,” speaking to AZ Central. She added that he wasn’t a good tenant who regularly failed to pay full rent. The reason she didn’t evict was because of her fondness for Miller’s 15-year-old daughter, Sarah.

About the 2002 stabbing:
According to court documents, in May 2002, Miller picked-up a woman who needed to use a phone. He brought her to his work office where she said he attacked her from behind, then felt a "punch-like feeling in her back," the document stated.

According to the document, Miller was stabbing her, but somehow the woman was able to get away.

In another article I can't find now, he was supposed to mow the yard and do other jobs to help with the rent, but he really didn't even do that.

A little more information regarding the 2002 case in Everett WA..

MRR was out walking in Everett, Washington, on May 23, 2002, when she accepted a ride from a man whom she recognized from a friend's apartment complex. During the car ride, they talked about how some of the trails and pathways near that complex were dangerous. The man then took her to his work and stabbed her in the back with a 12-inch serrated knife.

Miller, 42, was arrested in the attack but acquitted after claiming the woman tried to rob him. He moved back to Arizona shortly afterward and quietly resumed his life before being arrested this week.

He posted a picture in one of his FB albums of two books and his caption says they were part of his daughter's summer reading. One is called "I Hunt Killers" and the top of the book says, "What if the world's most notorious serial killer was your dad."

Creepy stuff on his FB page, including his police car with fake blood that he seems to drive often. Wish I knew how to link to it. Maybe someone here who is computer and FB savy can do that?

He stabbed her in the back and claimed self-defense?! Wow!

Two dead stabbing victims, and two who survived. How many unknown? No way in he!! do I believe there aren't more victims. This guy is such a stereotypical SK he's practically a caricature. If he were a villain on "Dexter", we'd jeer and say he was too hokey to be believable. I don't like to be dramatic, but it scares me to think about the number of victims he might have left behind.

I think you are right. i cannot bring up his FB account now

I saw one of his friends mention people on his FB being harassed. FB or LE may have stepped in and disabled it.

Personally I wish people would be a little more mature and not post anything to his personal pages. Either watch anonymously, post comments on the news articles, or use a private forum such as this, but leave his friends and family alone. I saw one person posting the link to his arrest in the comments of every post on his Arizona Zombie Hunter page.

I hope nobody's able to get to his daughter.

I have a strange question for us Phoenicians, trying to figure out if I have seen that car at First Friday and if there are any pictures of him if he was younger ( think 90's). I am curious for personal reasons...

Someone a page or two back posted a younger photo, but linked directly to it, so I have zero clue who's FB they found it on. Here's a link to the post:

First Friday I'm not familiar with. I've been in WA (funny enough- guess us heat babies grow up wanting the cold lol) for the better part of 12 years.
