Hmmm...subpeona the library right after taking Tammi's computers. Methinks the tangled web is unraveling.

Well let me clarify - if you're careful, it's not traceable.

- you have to make sure nobody can identify you at the library

- you have to not be stupid or risky enough to communicate with someone who knows you unless you and they use anonymizers etc

I think you're right, in another one of your posts. Someone called in a tip of seeing EJ at the library. Makes sense to me.

Would LE already have information from Tammi's computer by now? Maybe they traced an IP back to the library, where EJ might have emailed her?

It's in the video on the right...at the very end

See?? In the written article, it says the babysitter was there on the 19th or 20th......on the video, the reporter says 21st or 22nd!!!! :banghead:

How difficult is it to get the date correct?

We've gone through all the sources multiple times, and it currently stands at the babysitter at the hotel on Dec 23.

Eliz contacted the babysitter to ask her to babysit sometime on Dec 19, 20, or 21.

She would not be able to just walk in and plop down at a computer at the SAPL system. She would have given her ID (fake or real), creating a timestamp to match up with the issued computer, backed up by video more than likely.

I'm so excited about a possible direct, irrefutable link from Tammi's computer to Eliz in a library, that I am going to celebrate by now getting my second cup of coffee... and a bagel!

God, I love physical evidence.

It's the same way here. They have a time limit ar our libraries, and to make sure no one goes over, you have to use your library card number to access the system.
On the other hand, she's cute, I highly doubt that most guys would have had a problem loaning her their card to check her mail. Even if it's against the rules.

San Antonio library:

Borrow a laptop and access the Internet with our free WiFi. Adults can borrow laptops for two hours at a time at several branch libraries by presenting a library card and identification. Laptops are equipped with a CD-ROM drive, but they are not connected to a printer. Also a flash drive is necessary if you wish to save any documents. This service is available at: Cody, Collins Gardens, Forest Hills, Johnston, McCreless, Thousand Oaks, and Westfall.

also

Free wireless Internet access is available to the public at every branch of the San Antonio Public Library. So if you have a laptop or other WiFi enabled device, head on over to your nearest library branch and get connected!

lol, a lot off topic...

Just realized I still had my pre-burn(read: hair) avatar here and using my bald one on the facebook discussions...what a difference.

Wasn't she checked in/paid for 5 days? Night of Dec 22 through night of Dec 26?

I remember reading she didn't checkout at the desk. If she paid upfront for the days she stayed there...did she already have plans ahead of time to leave SA on the 27th? Did she pay for the exact number of days she knew she would be there?
To me it kind of felt like she just fled on the 27th after something haPpened on the 26th :( now I'm not so sure

Getting your library card in person:

Stop by any San Antonio Public Library Location.
You need a photo ID and proof of current address – like your driver’s license.
If your photo ID does not include your current address, you can use something like a utility bill if it includes your current address.
Children under 18 may be issued cards if accompanied by a parent or guardian with a photo ID and proof of current address.
For those owning a business or property in Bexar County, a property tax record, an Assumed Name Certificate of Registration or a Sales Tax Permit may be used.
San Antonio City employees should present their city badge or a current paycheck stub.
Pre-register for your library card online:

To begin immediately using online services (like ‘live online tutoring’ or a magazine article database), fill out the online registration.
Then stop by any San Antonio Public Library location within 30 days, present your photo ID and proof of current address and pick up your library card.
A San Antonio Public Library card allows you to do more than just borrow books and other materials. From your home computer you can use your card to access the Library’s online resources, find magazine articles, research your family tree and even download free digital media – like audiobooks and music.

She might have gone to look at an apartment on Dec 23. She might have planned on paying for 5 days at a time until she got an apartment if paying in advance for 5 days gives you a discount on the room.

Or she might have planned from the beginning on only staying in SA for 5 days.

I've thought a lot about this and I can't come up with anything that indicates either way. It's a toss-up.

Thank you. I've never used a computer at the public libraries. I was wondering about that.

A bagel sounds good. I might just do the same, lol.
