I've seen her face so many times, but I did not follow the case here. I'm sorry for her family. She was beautiful and this is tragic. :(

I did a quick search to see if the remains had been announced and I found this link from March 1, 2017: http://www.pinalcentral.com/casa_gr...cle_c4d85420-8de9-54a8-b6d5-bf7125897a85.html
What appear to be human bones have been found in a remote part of the desert west of Red Rock in southern Pinal County, authorities said.Pinal County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Navideh Forghani confirmed the finding Wednesday night after a tip was called in to PinalCentral. As of now, Forghani said the bones appear to indicate a single body.

PCSO became aware of the bones on Tuesday after a hunter in the area reported seeing what he believed to be human remains. An exact location could not be provided, but PCSO located the site and sent a detective to the scene to “make sure everything is processed correctly just in case it turns into anything a lot more serious.”

No further information was available as of Thursday afternoon, and Forghani said it was too soon to know whether the bones belonged to an adult or a child.

No suspect in her death has been arrested and Magnus said officers are still accepting information.

“This is a very important step in the case, so that’s one of the reasons why we’re still asking the public if they have any leads. We believe there may still be folks out there who perhaps know something or feel now that they’re willing to come forward with information.”

Magnus said at least 2,200 tips have been received in the case.

That may be another case. Isabel's remains were found 8 weeks ago (the end of January). A hunter found the bones, in the March 1st link, so it was "happenstance", unlike how Isabel's remains were found. It's really odd that the police didn't tell the media or Isabel's parents (who would have told their family and the media would have likely heard).

To clarify. The exact language the officer used was "dentro de ocho semanas" meaning WITHIN (technical spanish to english translation is inside) the last 8 weeks.
Also, the remains were found in pima county, the above link is reporting it in Pinal county. I don't know if any portion of red rock is in Pima county as opposed to Pinal county but the officers were adamant these remains were found within Pima county so it may not be refering to the same body, especially since Pinal county medical examiners handled it.

Omg I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this at the top of the page. I have followed this case from the beginning and it's what got me hooked on websleuths. Although I've always thought she was deceased I am stunned and heartbroken😢

Upon further investigation, it seems no part of red rock is in Pima county, it is all Pinal county meaning the body found in the link above is probably not referring to Isabel Celis.

Wow. Same here - I was just thinking about her. Disappearance was so strange.

I just saw on my FB feed that Isabel's remains have been found. She was such an adorable little girl. I followed her case very closely for years and still think about her often.

RIP Isabel!

Prayers for comfort for those who love her. And, to whomever caused her tragic death, I hope that a thousand torments are upon him/her/them until justice is achieved!

Is the Los Reales landfill in rural Pima County?

A big THANK YOU to Sharper for getting me the information via Facebook.

This is very sad news. At least everyone knows but it doesn't make it any easier.

It is in Pima County but doesn't correlate very well with the "desert area" the spanish interview described.

Sorta. Depends on your definition of 'rural'. Definitely not that remote.

There are some interesting comments under the article about Isabella on Tucson News Now Facebook.

Can't figure out why only the Arizona Republic is reporting the family's suspicions about a relative who refused to cooperate. Where did that information come from? It is not part of the statement released, and it's not being reported by any of the local Tucson media. Maybe the Phoenix reporters talked to the couple directly, I guess.

I read that article earlier today. (Before the 3:01 posted stamp) I think it was written in years prior and updated with the information from today. The family suspicion and the uncle that moved were reported when the case was in the news when she went missing.

I thought so, but that seemed like an odd thing to leave in.
