I’m so glad he was caught before anyone else was murdered or hurt by him.

THIS is bothersome:

"Case filings in Clements’ divorce proceeding show a letter from Casey’s Backhoe Services in Chandler, Arizona, likely verifying Clements’ employment."


The fact he worked for a backhoe service REALLY bothers me. And I wonder what they were searching his cell for?

Same with Adrienne Salinas. I was wondering if it might be part of his MO. Adrienne's remains were found 30 miles away from where she was abducted. Isabel's and Maribel's remains were found 36 miles away.

I completely agree but it doesn't mean she acted 100% alone. It's always been possible to me that she handed Kyron off to someone else, even in the school parking lot.

Just a thought. I think boys should be included when looking at other possible victims here. It appears this guy was not as particular with age and gender as most.

I'm one of those people. I do feel
regret that I felt Sergio was responsible. Who wouldn't after today's news. But your shame fest doesn't move me at all. It likely won't be the last time I was completely wrong in my suspicions.

I don't know what the "form" is under these circumstances but would it be appropriate to bring Maribel's name into the title of this thread also now that they are linked by LE? Just (like everyone else, I'm sure) feeling a huge wave of sadness for her and her family. I have posted a couple of times on her thread but my posts don't bump threads anymore since the new format.
Just feeling Maribel deserves the attention that perhaps her case did not receive at the time. I'm not saying that LE didn't work hard on her case, I don't know that, but there seems to have been hardly any media coverage which is really sad.

2002 felony assault one year probation and 4 months later felony charge of identity theft and misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer, again one year probation.

I believe the only reason imo..Sergio was separated from his family for a short while before returning to stay permanently was because he was so distraught and may have talked about killing himself in front of his family. He just moved right down the street not far from his family. Imo they knew he wasn't a danger to anyone other than maybe himself.

When he was seen behind the fence watching his son play ball I knew then this was not about them thinking he was dangerous to his children. The photo was shown over and over again showing him close to his family yet the authorities did nothing. They did nothing because they knew this was never about him harming those he loves but was about separating him for a short while because they feared he may be suicidal.

He was also getting death threats so they may have felt if Sergio moved out of his home for a short time the death threats would diminish and the rest of the family would feel safer.

Of course some can assume the worst. There are various reasons for doing this that does not include being abusive. It can be in the best interest of the person removed and from what I remember Sergio agreed to do this. It allows them a calming down period so they can learn to better cope. He probably became paranoid about the safety of the rest of his family. He may have acted erratic at times thinking he had to stay awake constantly to guard his family.

Not one person who really knew them well as parents has had one unkind word about them. My best friend lives in Tucson and the parents have always had the full support of their community. Those are the ones they needed who have been there for them throughout.

Although i have no doubt it was painful to them to see all of the unsubstantiated false allegations constantly written on the internet. I think they learned to ignore it the longer it went on. They are people of great faith and knew one day the truth would match the truth they both had said from the very beginning.

Oh my. I just now see this thread. I was obsessed with the of finding Isabel when this little girl disappeared. I had so many suspicions. I need to catch up and read the thread. I am so surprised to hear about an arrest. I thought this one would go unsolved. I appreciate all the participation here.

So hard for me to wrap my head around a stranger entering that home and taking this precious child out of her bed and out through a window without arousing anybody. It appears perp has history of burglary, but at least he lured the victims out of their homes under false pretense (i.e., fedex package) prior to entering. I'm afraid to see what else his extensive record will show about his crimes against children.

It certainly is frightening but after years of reading about young children who were abducted from inside of their homes to be raped and murdered by pedophiles it has shown me it does happen much more often than maybe we would like to think.
