I have to agree with the definite bias when covering crime. If they're not cute, little and white, they better at least be very attractive or have some other connection like fame in order to get covered or any attention. SO SAD AND SO WRONG.

A couple questions I have: like someone else said, if he had left out his window before and roamed the streets at night before, then what made the mom call the police THIS time? I find that odd.

Also, there is a pic of jesse in a green camo shirt with his brother (also wearing camp shirt) and sister. I know its been stated that his sister was his twin, but man oh man that brother looks EXACTLY THE SAME!!! Same face, same size, same everything?! So if these were foster or adopted, did they all 3 come from same bio parents?

I can't help but think of little Gabriel Fernandez. Please be okay little one!

Jesse's fallen off the radar as far as I can tell - no calls for volunteer searchers, no updates from LE. :(

I'm just blown away by the dedication and determination Jesse's school is exhibiting in their continual actions to find Jesse and bring him home. I really hope the media picks up on this event. What an awesome school!

Rendezvous Sat July 30 7pm
Near W Yuma Rd & S Watson Rd in Buckeye Exact Line-Up Location is TBD.
Maps will be provided. Departure scheduled for 8pm. The exact location of the line up will be determined this week in collaboration with the Buckeye Police Department and will be released as far in advance of the event as possible.

Please display #leadjessehome in yellow window paint on your vehicle windows. Feel free to decorate your vehicle in yellow. Glow sticks and glow wear will be provided. Please bring flashlights to add to the light. The overall goal is to produce as much light as possible as the procession makes its way to the Bradley campus. If searches have been suspended, IMO, this most likely means, that the LE have some strong suspicions...that something happened to sweet Jesse by his caregiver(s), with a coverup. The LE will not let this go. I'm very sad about this :(

I think he is a cute kid and I wish he'd get more attention.

I think cases were a child sneaks out also don't gain as much attention. But he's so young so it's really the same as a 17 year old sneaking out or something.

I haven't heard definitively if he is at a foster home but if he is, maybe he keeps sneaking out in order to go home?

Or if he IS with his bio family, maybe he is sneaking to go visit another relative nearby?

Or, maybe he has trouble sleeping combined with trouble understanding consequences?

or maybe he thinks no one cares if he isn't around bc of previous lack of supervision?

just some thoughts. I think 10 yos usually can understand that it isn't safe to sneak out or wander around outside at 4 am.

edited to add: I just want him found. None of the reasons why he left change that. Plus, I'm not convinced he left on his own anyway.

When a 2 yr old goes missing out of their bed at night, I'm super suspicious. But 10 is just old enough to pull that off and leave either mad or seeking some adventure . Ten is also still way too young to comprehend what waits outside for little boys. :(

Anyone think he might of been sneaking out for food? Just a guess really but in that one photo posted of him with longer hair his arms looked so thin. If he was often seen out at night he might have been trying to gather food for himself and siblings.

I think alot has to do with if the parent/parents are very vocal in the news in getting the word out and putting out pics.I don't think race plays a part in coverage as it used to.Missing people or children are so common now they don't even get any coverage like it is not an emergency anymore.

NG featured Jesse last night.

I wonder if LE has questioned the other children that lived in the home?

Oh I hadn't thought of that......I sure hope that's not the case, but it could be. Geez.....

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Some of the most covered and high profile cases I have followed have been minority children. I feel like it is a cop out when it is stated that a child isn't getting attention because of race. Maybe I am naiive, but that is not my experience. It is usually other factors that play a MUCH larger role--- people thinking it is a runaway, family members not being vocal or present (it is kind of like if the family doesn't think it is important enough to be super active, then why should I? type thinking), family members who run a social media FB page being very nasty to followers giving opinions, having NO social media page for the missing, being viewed as a custody matter...... plenty of reasons. I think to blame it on race is not only unfair, but it is an excuse that doesn't allow future families to see how they can get their loved one more attention. It is more helpful to look at what is lacking in the search for the person and help to bridge those gaps. I once reached out to a family and helped give them guidance on how to set up social media to gain attention, as well as next steps. They went from having 33 people attending an "event" page to over 13,000 likes on a Missing group that was open and didnt require access through joining. We can do better than throwing the "race" thing as the reason and then sitting passively by, since no one can change race. I have seen many "white" children in the exact same "no attention" situation. That's just my opinion.

I will probably transcribe the mother's statements soon; here are the links to all I can find that she stated publicly.

And here's the most recent media attention I can find 7/25/16

I believe one of the videos above was linked on page 7 of this thread. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes or be repetitive. Having all three statements from Jesse Wilson's mother, Crystal Wilson, will help me re-find the links for transcription, and may be helpful for anyone interested.

Been lurking at WS for a long time; just now getting around to posting.
