yes she is adorable. The post you pointed out is just one of many photos her cousin family took of her before she was given back over to her momster. The pose you point out in post 52 is so poignent. She seems to be full of life, looking forward, feeling like everything is possible.

This child was loved. Deeply. And then she was reviled, tortured, starved. It hardly seems possible. Why? One more child to claim need and benefit for? Somwonw pure and untainted by the past? Someone adored, comforted and loved uncoditionally as she apparently never was? Resntment? Why?

I will never forget Jhessye. Never. It still hurts today. It always will

Will we have any posters attending the trial?
 
I sure hope we have a member or two that can make it. I wish I could go. I would really like to be there to watch her face a jury
 
thanks you watcher, was just coming to post this story both here and on Isabel C thread. I think it more likely the remains are hers rather than Jhessye but on pins and needles. I follow both cases.
 
Her sandals were maybe like this big so I'm guessing maybe anywhere from like 9 to 13," explained Contreras. "She might have been pretty small."

The group then notified the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the scene and confirmed on Monday that the discovery is being investigated as a homicide.

"We're in the very infancy stages of this investigation," said Deputy Joaquin Enriquez with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. "We're treating it as a homicide."

The murders of Jhessye and Shaniya Davis brought me to my knees. I don't think I've been the same since. Such beautiful little children. I can hardly stand it to this day.

I won't ever forget either.

I love that picture of our sweet,innocent little Jhessye. I still get tears in my eyes whenever I see a butterfly.
 
FYI .... the remains found near Apache Lake belong to 20-year-old Jenika Feuerstein.

Sadly, Jhessye's body will never found. Her body ended up at the Butterfield Landfill where they searched as thoroughly as they could, but they just couldn't find her. It's not where Jhessye belongs, and her soul isn't there ... it's in a better place.

I had a client in a group home who died and was buried in a cemetery that was being used as a landfill. When I would visit, his gravesite was littered with trash and the ground had obviously been dug up again. There were bulldozers at the back of the cemetery. I called the attorney general's office to report it. The person I spoke to said he had investigated it for 2 years and, while he agreed that what they cemetery owners were doing was disgraceful, they weren't doing anything illegal. Since there was no more I could do, I reminded myself that the soul was no longer with the body. But, it makes me angry that there are people who show such disrespect!

Jerice had no regard for Jhessye when she was alive, nor after she killed her. I do hope they add to Jerice's murder charges desecration of a body.
 
I know Jhessye little soul is at peace but I do wish that her little body would be found so it could be laid to rest. How sad that jerice has denied them even that.

I think jerice should be charged with everything they can come up with. Things like welfare fraud (if she claimed Jhessye and got benefits for her after she killed her), lying to police, endangering her other kids, jaywalking, whatever. Then make all of her sentences consecutive (not concurrent). Ensure that she never breathes a breath of freedom again. Let her be locked up in a small cell until she dies.

Knox, thank you so much for re-posting this link. Somehow, after following the case through Jerice's arrest for murder and child abuse, I lost track of the case.

I've spent a good part of the last 4 days reading all the documents as well as reviewing the case from the first thread.

I am more of a trial watcher than a sleuth and the upcoming trial is on my calendar for August 4. I hope it will be broadcast. We all deserve to watch Jerice get her "justice" handed to her in the quest for JUSTICE for Jhessye.

I hope her 3 sisters are doing well in foster care and have grown stronger. I'm sure the eldest will be a key witness and I hope she is strong enough by the time of the trial to do well for her little sister.
 
I will be so glad when JH gets convicted. I think she should get LWOP. I'm also dismayed that Jhessye's extended family was blocked from suing CPS. The cousin that had been raising JS tried to get her back. There is no way in hell that poor little girl should ever have been back in the custody of her mother. As we all know, JH did time in CA for child abuse. The records of what was done to those children are so disturbing ...welts to the genital area on the victim that were left by an extension cord...and CPS is going to get away scott-free.

I want so much for JS's siblings to get the help and support that they need. After what was done to them there is a frightening potential for violence in their future if they aren't given the proper tools for handling life.

So do I. The eldest was subjected to horrific abuse at the hands of JH and her husband when they lived in CA. She was so terrified of JH that it took weeks for her to finally tell the foster mother what happened to JS. I'm hoping they will stream this one life. I'll be watching for the dynamic between JS and the eldest. It wouldn't surprise me if JH tries to intimidate her (stare her down, etc).
 
I have been praying that Jhessye's siblings will be strong enough to be able to stand up against jerice and testify to what they know.

I hope they have been placed in loving homes and are living a happy life and recovering from the damage of living with jerice and her evil enabling mother.
 
I'm wondering how they will handle JH's same-sex love interest on the stand. AZ is very conservative and it wouldn't surprise me if JH's DT doesn't try to hammer the witness and make her look unseemly because of her orientation.

(Remember, this was the woman who left the empty suitcase at JH's house. The suitcase is believed to have been used to dispose of JS's body).
 
would love a link to that info loudmouth, so far I don't think we have seen the witness identified inteh press, let alone her sexual orientation covered.

Not sure the DT can do much to negate the damning testimony that person will likely be giving.

The State advises the Court that interviews of the State’s witnesses have begun and that a court order is necessary for two witnesses that work for CPS. The State further advises the Court that she is starting trial before Judge Granville on June 2, 2014 that is expected to last until October 1, 2014. The Court will discuss a realistic trial date at the time of the next hearing.
