Didn't the police seem to think that the victims had contact with the perp and enough time to phone the police before he actually did anything? Maybe this is what they meant. That people would repeatedly see him or his vehicle during a short period of time 10 or 20 mins before he actually shot them. Or maybe I am mixing that up with the OTHER Baseline freak. :confused:
 
OT....Hey Anita. You still have not posted on the 'What's your favorite ice cream' thread. I thought you would be one of the first people over there. ;)
 
Yea Curious, it is the Baseline Killer who talks to his victims before he grabs them, which the police feel whould give someone time to call 911.

Boy, that is arbitrary though isn't it? Every situation is so different, and if he is standing close I wonder if someone would flip out a cellie and start dialing? Maybe the police are trying to say there is a short period of time before the person he is talking to has any fear or sense this person might be up to no good, and then suddenly it is too late as he makes his move on them.

So the Serial Shooter has started operating in Mesa. I wonder what the Baseline killer is up to?

AZ, I forgot to ask, where is the canal in Phoenix?

Oh, she still thinks she is invincible alright, and that is what surprised me when she expressed fear at riding the bus and walking a block at night!!!
So, I knew if she is scared, so are alot of other people.

PHOENIX — The death of a woman who was gunned down while walking has been linked to a serial killer believed responsible for dozens of random shootings across metropolitan Phoenix, police said Thursday.
 
2 suspects have just been arrested in Mesa/Phoenix for the "serial shooter" crimes. The cops have just hauled off a light colored sedan as evidence. They originally thought there was just one suspect but now they have the shooter and the driver. News conference soon. Heard this on fox news!

This is not for the serial "rapist/murder" crimes. He is still out there.
 
they were arrested at 550 east McKellips...that's McKellips and Mesa Drive.

The Windscape Apts. They are responsible for 36 shootings. Rumor is one is a woman.

just heard a press conference will be at 10am arizona time. I have to go to work and won't have access to a tv so can you guys please keep me informed if you can, please!

Wow, this is great news. LE towed a silver toyota camry. I'm wondering about the claim that a friend of a friend made that she saw the shooter is a silver Bronco II with no window tint.

I wonder if these two have another vehicle or if the guy she saw is just another weirdo out there.

I can't wait to hear the details!

Thank God!!:woohoo: I am not surprised that there are two suspects...can't wait for the p.c.! Hope your daughter is still considering staying home for a bit...until they get the B.K.!
 
:woohoo: Praise the Lord these guys are off the street! You guys are quick here this morning. LOL Clint V Zant says the Baselione Killer always does one shot to the back of the head. I didn't know that.

A woman. WOW Hope I'm here at 10am to hear the news conference. Do you think they will tell who they are? Wonder how long they have known who they are? They never intimated there were two people, have they, acting as the Serial Shooter.

Now for the Baseline Killer. I have a feeling they are watching him now too!!

"I hope they got him," said Caroll Roberts, whose 19-year-old son was shot in the torso last month and survived after four hours of surgery. "I want to shoot him in the stomach to see how he'd like it, like he did my son."

Robin Blasnek, 22, was gunned down at about 11:15 p.m. Sunday. Neighbors heard a shot and ran to help the young woman, but she soon lost consciousness and died at a hospital.

The shooting was linked to earlier cases because of similarities and forensic evidence, authorities said.

Blasnek's father told the East Valley Tribune that his daughter grew up as a special needs child, and lived part time with her parents in Mesa and at a group home in Tempe.

"She was just a great kid. Very, very naive, and pure as far as not understanding the dangers of the world," Steve Blasnek said. "I guess my only regret is that I didn't give her a big hug."

The pressy hasn't happened yet, but the reports on my local news (Tucson) say it was two men who were arrested. I guess we'll see for sure at 10.

The photo capture of the video of one of the suspects has him in what appears to be a beret of some sort. He also appears to have a beard. The other suspect was shown being "escorted" out of the police car barefoot and wearing only a pair of shorts. He appeared, from the side and back, to be "clean cut" looking, although he sure looks like a short little guy with a pudgy gut. Just my honest opinion! ;)
 
I thought the sketch LE had been showing regarding a possible perpetrator looked a lot like the guy they arrested with the hat.

This is such good news. Can you imagine the cop power that organized and carried out this bust, as well as the investigative team! A force of good over pure evil.

I lived in an apt house where about 12 Mexicans lived upstairs and had a major drug selling operation going on. One early morning our apt house was bombarder by a force such as this, and they meant business. They let us know right before it went down,k to stay inside. But we heard everything, and almost all you could do was sit there with your mouth wide open it was so loud and scary.

They just said on TV it was a traffic stop that happened when they arrested the guys. They learned about these 2 guys a few days ago and it moved swiftly. They lived in Mesa.. But great police work is what nailed them!

Oh Scandi, I am sure that bust in your building was exciting AND frightening!

You are right, great police work and so much organization that ended in a capture with no violence. The Phoenix, Mesa and Scottsdale police departments should be applauded!

I am at the press conference right now.

I don't have to be in court until 10:30 and the conference is across the street at city hall.

I took a picture of all the news vans with my cell phone. (I'm such a dork). I've sent it to some of my friends.

I don't know if I'll stay for the live conference or not because I need to prep before my 10:30.

FYI, everyone here is talking about two men, so I'm not sure about the report of a woman possibly involved. ???
