The news channel removed a lot of what they had previously written. There was commentary from Geoff about Mike's strong bond/relationship with Luke and how they talked on the phone several times a day. That was removed. There was also a comment from Geoff that there was a fire and they were rebuilding their home next door. Construction had just recently begun. That was removed.

In this new article it states they were all together Sunday for Father's Day. "We know we saw them Sunday night at 10 or 10:30, and woke up the next morning and we assumed they had left to run errands in town," Dugan says. "Come to find out they never made it and we don't know what happened in between time."

That's odd since it was previously said that Mike was taking Tina to work. But it's sounding now like Geoff saw them Sunday night and there was no discussion about them leaving the house at 5am, or Tina going to work.

I'm baffled. JMHO.

I just found this!

" “They started construction next door. There was a fire and they were actively searching for a replacement home to put on there for temporary while they were rebuilding." "Snipped By Me...

Also in the article is :
" "If you knew Mike and his son Luke, they're joined at the hip. So they check in with each other two, three times a day."" Snipped By Me...

A professionally trained pilot, especially one that can speak Spanish, would have no trouble finding work off grid.

now that you mention it, in Tinas fb in her pictures of their wedding in Mexico and farther back during the planning stages she talks about people coming to "the condo" ...anyone know how to search properties in Mexico? lol

This is an interesting "option". What are your thoughts on why they might need a stash/ supplies at another location? Maybe they wanted to vanish? I've skimmed through and maybe I missed it, but is there a reason they would need or want to up and leave willingly?

I have no idea, really. One thing I have learned from the Websleuths cases is that there are more reasons than I can ever come up with on my own! I would just think if they planned to make their disappearance look suspicious but were actually choosing to do so, they might stash some food, water, cash, ? somewhere to be able to survive later. All of my guesses arent based on anything I read, so they are just guesses, but the most common I see is drugs, money, shunning responsibility, insurance payout, running from someone after them, bank robbery (juuuust kidding!!!)--- again, just some common reasons, none have been mentioned as a real possibility.

Do you know what town/city the condo is in, in Mexico?

If this is true...Luke would have known BEFORE 7:15 pm something was amiss!! Did he not text his dad ALL DAY that Monday? ""Check in two-three times a day???"""Ut-uh, he would have sounded the alarm way before, IMOO...Not saying anything, I just find that very odd considering.

Puerto Renasco, Mexico

eta: I dont know this is where the condo would be but that appears to be the location of the wedding and the planning trip the year before as recorded by her phone...

Do businesses open earlier like 6-7am and then close earlier at 2-3pm because of the heat? How far of a drive is Chandler? Just spitballing...lol

Hi Nellie: People work a regular 8 hour day just like everywhere else, heat non-withstanding, no time off for heat.

Have a great July 4th. Check out Tombstone, thats where I am for the 4th :)

Does Mike own/lease a plane? It would seem that a professional pilot might. I wonder if any planes he has access to are unaccounted for.

I haven't seen that article yet, but most folks use to travel to the closest beach in Mexico to Az which is "Puerto Penasco" also called Rocky Point so perhaps its there?. Lots of Americans from AZ use to keep 2nd vacation homes there, not so sure about anymore however but more then likely they still do.

So way back upthread there was an old news article about a stepmom being attacked with a knife by her angry stepson. Was that supposed to be about Tina last November? If so, what ever happened with the angry stepson?

I have been wondering where that story fits in, who is related to who. I need a family tree drawing [emoji269]

The family also lost clothes, furniture and exercise equipment.

She estimated the fire burned close to $20,000 worth of property - not to mention the partially torched frame of the new house she was building with her husband adjacent to the trailer.

Firefighters told Tina a fire was burning nearby prior to the one on her property.

Even more disturbing, Tina said, was the third fire set as firefighters were responding to her property.

“He went and lit another fire after ours,” she said.

BBM- tad specific? Who's HE?

Luke said he made the call to 911 at about 7:15 p.m. Monday night to report his dad and stepmother as missing. The couple left the house at about 5 a.m. in their 2008 Honda Accord and didn't show up for any of their appointments.
About three hours later, sheriff's deputies found the Honda near Ralson and Papago roads, not far from the Careccias' home, but detectives said there was no sign of where the couple went from there.
The couple hardly ever went out into the desert, family friend Rita Hernandez said, and it seemed odd that their car was found covered in dirt.

Sorry to repeat the above but I needed a refresher. I'm really curious as to what they were heading out to do that time of the morning, it says appointments but we assumed Tina was heading to work?! Have we got confirmation that Michael isn't currently working? So confusing :pullhair:
