I hope LE have a better grasp then us...so confusing and loads of misinformation!

Additionally, if they left the house at 5 as they normally did, common sense says that Tina would have taken her purse with her. I have read the comments that maybe she had several purses, or maybe she chose to go to work without her purse, but it has been reported that she left her purse at home - which presumably means the purse that contains all the things she normally needs on a daily basis. I'm assuming that it has been reported because it is out of character for her to be gone, and her purse to be at home.

The cell phones are missing, and I suspect that they stopped pinging when they were at home.

That leaves two options - help me out if I'm missing something: a home invasion where the children did not wake up, or someone with normal access to the home is responsible.

I know they have 5 between them but I've only heard mention of her daughter (early 20's doesn't live there) and his son (17 lives there). I am not sure if the other 3 kids live with them or the other parent.

I just read that three children live at home, and two live elsewhere (presumably adults).

I think it's important to remember that "we" thought the police didn't have any facts/info/details in the McStay case until the prelim when so many things came out.....they know a LOT more than we do in every single case. My guess is they know at least 75% of the questions that we are asking....prayers for the family during this terrible time of not knowing.....

Thanks, I've been wanting to mention the same thing re: the McStay's. And how LE kept saying Nothing, as if they didn't have a clue what was going on, while following CM the whole time...and now look how that turned out.

Does anyone who knows her say it is odd for her to leave her purse at home?
Was everything intact, i.e wallets, cards. iD? I often just take my checkbook, which has my ID, bank card, etc. Did she take her phone? A lot of people (not me-I seldom know where my phone is) carry it in their hands. But yes, if leaving for the day, I would need hair brush and lipgloss at least, from my purse. Jmo

I know the sheriff's office is disputing the claim that Tina is the bank robber.

I have not been able to find any more info or updates on the bank robbery as well though.....

No I googled any and all combinations for updates on the bank robbery...nothing. then googled local news stations in the area for updates...nothing. I guess if you're going to rob a bank that is the area to do it in. Jmo

If it was normal routine that Tina did not use a purse, then the fact that her purse was left at home would not be mentioned as a fact in the case.

Me neither!! I keep googling for updates. Now I'm not one to usually follow bank heists (too boring), but is it usual to not have any follow up stories? I can't even find out how much did she get. Was there a getaway car? All the news said was that she "ran" away with the bag of money. IS this normal?

Please note I am not insinuating anything really I'm not.

It might be. It seems the whereabouts of a purse are always mentioned, almost...whether taken or left behind. We don't always get an explanation. Jmo

Women either use a purse, or they don't. If they don't use one, then there's nothing to say about the location of a purse because the woman doesn't have, and doesn't use, a purse. In this case, Tina used a purse and she did not take it with her on the day that she vanished.

First post. I was out there several times lending in this search and knew Mike and Tina back in high School, its a little confusing but here are some details not known publicly that is commonly known by searchers on the search site:
The car was reportedly/supposedly actually found in between Julie and Mayer Rd pointing southbound on the west side of Ralston Rd, this would be a few hundred yards away from Mike and Dugan's lots.
The dirt/dust reportedly/supposedly matched the dirt near the end of Desert Valley and Doolittle Roads west of Sage and Miller near the county line.
The notes on the map for a white SUV w/ 3 hispanic mexicans was a lead from someone spoken to over the phone at the landfill on the north side of town suggesting to search near Peters corner around some mountain/hills south of Maricopa.
You guys are correct about Mike, mitre box saw injury hindered piloting.
Facebook has been altered, posts deleted, my posts even deleted, information is all over the board...
The volunteer turn out is amazing! Hundreds upon hundreds of people scouring everywhere...

Very typical of bank robberies as far as follow up stories by the media. Law enforcement conducts their investigation and compares to past or future robberies to establish links (serial bank robber vs individual). They follow up on any leads or evidence but the stories in the media are usually a one and done story.

What's the general feel of the case regarding the reasons behind the disappearance? Are there any general theories floating around? Were there any issues between the parents and any of the children?

BBM. That's 2 current cases involving white SUV's in Arizona - is this a common car/colour out there?

Everyone I've spoken to out there are simply mystified, desperate, have no idea or clue openly expressed or sensed, simply up and vanished like a *&% in the wind...
