I can't get the first link to work for me so maybe the answers to my question is there but according to the second article neighbors were the ones to tell LE that the son had mental illness and didn't take his meds but LE had not verified the diagnosis. And again, the the answer may be in the first link, but the 2nd article doesn't disclose names so wondering how we're sure that it is the Careccias?

Sorry if I've missed these facts but I'm trying to catch up. TIA

Sounds like the stabbing suspect would be Tina's newphew, since Blayke is her daughter.

"They're stable right now," said their niece, Blayke Perry. "We're just a little distraught."

I don't. Sorry if the way I phrased it made it seem that way. Just based on previous experience with everyone I know, most of them have accidentally left their phone at home or forgot to charge it the night before. So, maybe 80% certain that Mike could have done that at some point before he and Tina went missing.

Well darn LOL - I sure wish we had a verified insider on this case because we seem to be all over the board with the information from the news reports. I personally always make sure I have my cell phone in case truck breaks down, etc. but I have had to turn it off during the day due to me forgetting to charge it.:shame:

I think it's important to remember that "we" thought the police didn't have any facts/info/details in the McStay case until the prelim when so many things came out.....they know a LOT more than we do in every single case. My guess is they know at least 75% of the questions that we are asking....prayers for the family during this terrible time of not knowing.....

I watched it without sound. His eyes were all over the place. And he was continuously shaking his head. Could be shy, but some of that is classic evasiveness.

I don't know if anybody has brought this up and I will try to be delicate with my wording. Does anybody else see something in the young man near the end of this video? Is it insincerity or just camera shy?

You guys have much more experience with this but his behavior looked familiar to me. I had very little experience being on tv when I first started the MADD chapter in our county. But most of the time when news channels wanted to talk to me it was about a specific case in court and there were reporters from all the local stations. I used to try and look at each camera so it didn't look like I favored one more than the others. So just a guess or opinion that maybe this young guy was doing the same.

The looking at the different cameras doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when he looks down and seems like he is being overcome with grief or thankfulness for all of the volunteers. Just doesn't look natural to me. Not saying the guy killed his aunt and uncle and then made it look like they just disappeared. Could be that he just isn't good with emotions.

Good question. I am not sure yet if that was Tina and Michael that were stabbed or if it was her sister and brother-in-law. It might have been them instead. But either way, there is a violent, mentally ill young relative that might be dangerous. I would assume he is still locked up though. Hope so anyway.

Was he locked up during the time they disappeared?? Sounds like an inside job thus far.. not that coincidences of bad luck doesn't occur sometimes, it does.

For What it is worth, I read on the facebook page for them that either the son or family did try to call them on the phone that day. I believe it was the administrators post on a reply, but I don't know if that reply is there anymore, since replies and posts were being deleted from that missing facebook page for them yesterday.
IMOO.

That is the cousin, Dillon Dugan.

are you related to this couple? If you are you should get verified as an insider. I'm sure some of the experienced sleuthers can tell you how to do it.

No I recognized him from a tagged photo on fb, sorry. I have a friend who her parents are friends with them but they've been out of touch for some time she said.

I'm speculating (snipped by me) "It was a super huge bummer when it burned down,” Tina said. The trailer contained “everything we owned,” down to prized family photos. The family didn’t have insurance on the structure."

Thanks for this! I was going to ask about the insurance money. I was thinking maybe they would have ran off with it. Why would they have not had insurance on their home? That just seems odd. Was there not a mortgage on it?

Sorry to repeat the above but I needed a refresher. I'm really curious as to what they were heading out to do that time of the morning, it says appointments but we assumed Tina was heading to work?! Have we got confirmation that Michael isn't currently working? So confusing :pullhair:

In this link it mentions Mike is unemployed:

Ok. Is there any info on where exactly the car was found? I know they released the intersection where it was found(Ralston & Papago) but I want the exact location. I keep look at that intersection on Google Maps. As I traveled down the Papago, I noticed at least ~5 cars within a 1 mile trip. Ralston had less traffic but still a few cars passing. If the car had been there since ~5am that morning, someone must have noticed the car, possibly when it first appeared. If we go off google maps, quite a few people must have passed the car sometime during the day. If we could just get the earliest possible time that the car was sighted at the intersection, we could get a better estimate on when they disappeared.

Also, I'm assuming LE interviewed the people that live around where the car was located. Does anyone know if the LE have mentioned any lead from that?

I am officially confused! I am going back to the start of this thread to refresh!

The police have said absolutely nothing regarding any detail - truly the only thing I can remember off the top of my head that the police have stated as absolute fact is that Tina is not the person that was shown in the picture from the bank situation. Blah. There has been no police statements that confirm anything and the family has basically stopped giving info as well. There are some reports that say the car was parked against a wall. Some say near an intersection. Again, lots and lots of mixed messages. I think and again, this is IMO, that the most credible info came from initial reports from family...

"The Pinal County Sheriff's Office was contacted and a search began. Monday night, Careccia's son Luke, from his first marriage, found the couple's car less than a mile from the home, parked along a wall that enclosed a storage yard. According to detectives, the car did not show obvious signs of foul play."

Wow.. you are good, Treelights! I really would like to know what a 'storage yard' is exactly ..

I am so glad I am not the only one that realized what was happening. Last night someone erased - deleted ALL of the comments and played with the settings for the page. They seemed to be very angry that there were posts talking about the bank situation, and inquiring about possible family motives. I was waiting for responses and WHAM! EVERYTHING got deleted ... There are lots of things that make me queasy about this case....
