Hmmm.. that does not sound good at all. She seemed really legitimately distressed in the one video I saw of her.. I thought I'd be reacting the same way if it were my son. 'find my baby, find my baby!'

Gosh, every time I refresh in here and check my email for google alerts I keep hoping to see the good news that he is found safe.. the more time passes the less likely that is looking. Makes me SO sad for this little guy!

20 pounds? Does that seem small for a 2 year old? My son was born at 8 pounds, weighed 13 pounds at 3 months. At 2 years he was in the chubby 30 pound range. Could be he was just a bit underweight.

According to WP - the average weight for a 2 year old is 15-35 pounds.

Please don't bash, as I have NO proof -- but this might come up. Does anyone else see a tad Down's Syndrome in Syler? While it may have nothing to do with this case, it could be the reason he was confused and walked off. I'm ONLY speculating based on the picture posted in the missing poster.

Small, low-set ears.

A nasal bridge that looks pushed in.

Irregular and crooked teeth that often come in late and not in the normal sequence

Most children with Down syndrome have mild to moderate cognitive disability.

Again, I'm just speculating here -- based on the picture. But that was my first thought when I saw him.

The search for a missing 2-year-old Flagstaff boy pressed on Monday as authorities also began looking into his family.

Officials have scheduled a press conference for sometime after 5 p.m. Monday at Forest Road 618 to update the search for Syler.

mgardner, Syler's last name is Newton. There's a person on the custodial mom's myspace with the same last name.

Don't feel bad, I've been confused most of the day trying to figure out how Angela was originally thought of being the custodial mom.

I just did a search for the name and found that as well. The one in Corpus is the only friend page linked to Christina's. The other two look pretty old and only have only 1 friend - aka.. Tom. Not to be funny. The Corpus account was last logged on today but it is set to private.

Can't find a facebook for Christina or Charity however. Let me know if you run across one.
