Any more word on the male body that was found? I can't seem to find anything newer than about 4-5 days ago when the first reports came out. I'm assuming the person found was a black male, being that the area is mainly made up of black people, and surely mention would be made if they appeared different to the norm? I could imagine Taylor appearing male, especially if she had not gone through any transition. She appeared in pics to be flat chested. Let's just hope this gets fully investigated and the family, regardless of who this is, gets answers.
Body identified, not Taylor :(

A fundraiser Saturday will benefit the family of Taylor Casey, the Chicago woman who disappeared in June during a trip to the Bahamas.

[...]

The money will be used to pay for private investigations, legal fees and other expenses.

A comment under that story re: "darker forces" and "redefining what is natural" has my eyebrow raised. I hope she didn't cross paths with someone of a similar mindset... FWiW!!!

Where are you Taylor!?!?
Unfortunately, in many parts of the world, you can't safely be seen as different, especially when it comes to being part of the LGBT+ population. Is the island or Bahamas in general seen as traditional in this way? I believe so. I hope she didn't come to harm based on being transgender, but I fear it's a real possibility.

I translate the statement "redefining what is natural" as a discriminatory phrase meaning her trans status is what got her in to trouble and clearly puts the fault of her disappearance on Taylor's own shoulders after deciding to change gender.
