Maybe the baby is breech? I might not want to deliver a breech baby in Bali...just sayin...

Just catching up on the case - what a trial and what a load of BS being thrown around that Court Room by HM & TS.

As for what HM & TS might get - I think for HM, she wont get off lightly as she thinks (no matter how much sobbing is going on or money dished out) - 19 months maybe - but any conviction will dash her hopes of that money (for all of them).

And for TS - 7-10 years.

I was looking at the NBC/Chicago news about this again and a couple things caught my attention.

1) we know HM has phone/skype/internet access. According to the reporter, he spoke with TS on the phone, apparently rather recently. Nothing of interest: TS wanted us all to know that he's a good person, life happens, don't judge him before the facts are all in.

2) in the video clip, one of the judges picks up the metal fruit bowl handle and swings it back and forth as TS is describing how he hit SWM. From the way the judge swings the handle around, it looks rather awkward. I'm glad to see him picking it up and playing with it though - he's at least trying to picture clearly how it went down.

Ummmm! HM what about those pesky text on how you two were going to kill your mother and guess what happen she died and you were in the room. They were going to take SM body to the consulate office, imo shows the stupidity and arrogance of someone who has lied & lied & lied her entire life and she will once again get away with lies.

HM needs to buy a better story. The next payment should be coming soon. Jmo

ciao

Why were they going to transport her body to the US Consulate??? To claim Bali kidnappers did it?? As it was, they bailed on her body once it was placed in the trunk of the taxi, then skipped out on their unpaid hotel bill, only to stay and have sex at another hotel. Not a great plan at all...

I noticed that the video also says that Schaefer told the court that “Mack asked him to bring the metal bowl, in case her mother reacted strongly to her daughter’s pregnancy”.
So, it is clear that HM engineered the whole situation, and she was ready for violence too. Goes towards premeditation imo.

Glad I watched the video. Oh, the fruit bowl handle isn't that huge. It clearly says Heather told Tommy to bring the handle. It sure sounds like "bring a weapon", and that they both knew what was going to go down. Their defense cases are weak, IMO, and under a fair legal system they should get either the firing squad or long prison terms.

BTW, it's possible Heather was a prostitute, you know when she want money what it do, but in any case it's not that outrageous if SWM ever said that. After all, Heather's own squad called her a "thot", but SWM can't say nothing without them killing her.

(Heard the word "thot" used on the tv show Empire last week. It's now a real word.)

LOL!!! This goes way back, but I do recall that some of HM's middle school issues were about boys/promiscuity/sex, and some high school issues were about nude selfies sent to god-knows-who.

No explanation or question as to why they didn't tell her, in public, in the hotel lobby about 5 hours earlier and instead stayed up all night texting ideas on how to kill her before deciding to "tell her about the pregnancy" while she was asleep.

I wonder why we've not heard any testimony about the crime scene and the clothing the victim was wearing? I would assume she was wearing a nightgown or some other sleep attire. I don't think we've heard much at all about the prosecution's case and the presentation of evidence. Nor will we since nothing is recorded in these trials. It appears that the media is allowed in to report and videotape, they just don't bother as there isn't a big audience to pay for their efforts. And I understand there is no transcript so appeals must be interesting.

I wonder if there were any crime scene photos shown or photos of the victim, how she was found and the autopsy report?

Still no word on that C-section? I guess she's using her Internet access to read here and got scared off by the post about the scar she'll probably end up with? :floorlaugh:

I wonder how long they'd keep her in hospital if she had a C-section? Probably as long as she wants to recover since she'll be asking "Grandpa Cohen" ;) for the money to pay the tab and he's sure to oblige. I'd imagine she'll need at least two weeks to prevent infection and stay jacked up on pain meds.

"Schaefer claimed Mack asked him to bring a metal fruit bowl, that he hid under his shirt as a “precaution.” Which makes so much sense they were taking on a 62 year old lady and all."

Were there any reports of SWM beating on HM? I don't recall reading that she was violent towards HM but we know HM is hell fire violent. My point is why would SWM all of a sudden threaten to kill a fetus. I don't believe that happened. And TM looks like a dang fool sitting there claiming he was being strangled.

At some point in his life he needs to come to terms that he was used to kill another person's mother. He should be the poster boy to all young men, leave crazy girls and their family drama alone. Loose sex and free money look where it got him, 3rd world country prison waiting for a baby to be born and a murder conviction. Jmo

Stella is on her way ...... no court this week for HM, or next week by the sound of things.

The US teenager accused in the 'body in the suitcase' murder in Bali has been rushed to hospital and is believed to be delivering her baby by caesarian operation, it can be revealed.
Heather Mack, 19, was taken to hospital from Kerobokan Prison when she started to have contractions, guards confirmed, and it was expected the baby daughter she intends to name Stella would be delivered within a few hours.

A person close to the case told MailOnline: 'Heather is in hospital and will be having her baby by caesarian. By the morning here in Bali she will be a mother.'

Mack is having the baby in the Wings Amerta building of the Sanglah Hospital.

This means the child will be born prematurely - but it is not known how long she expects to remain in hospital.

It is likely that her scheduled court appearance next week will be adjourned, allowing her time to recover from the birth.

A friend who accompanied her to the hospital told nursing staff that Mack will be taking the baby back to the prison with her.
It means that within the first few hours of her life, the baby will be a prisoner, locked in behind bars with her teenage mother.

There was speculation that if judges in her trial decide that the proceedings should continue next week, Mack will take the baby to court with her.
Unless he is granted special privileges, that might be the first time that Schaefer lays eyes on his baby daughter.

Due date ... American Heather Mack, 19, outside Sanglah Hospital.

Heather Mack, 19, was taken late Tuesday from Kerobokan prison, where she is being held, to Sanglah hospital.

Schaefer will not be permitted to be at the hospital for the birth of his daughter and has remained in Kerobokan prison.
The pair last saw each other earlier on Tuesday in the jail clinic.
The baby’s due date is April 1 but it is understood a Caesarian will be conducted later Tuesday.

The prosecutors are due to deliver their sentence demand in the court next week.

Baby is born ..... heaven help her.

I like the title of the article.

Heather Mack, pr/egnant US teen and accused murderer, gives birth in Bali

A TEENAGER accused of the gruesome murder of her mother in Bali has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

The baby girl, who she has previously said she would call Stella, was born early Tuesday evening.

The jail Governor Sudjonggo said: “We are grateful that the baby girl is healthy.”
