BTW-what happened to the Prosecution was going to appeal HM's lenient sentence of 10 years since they asked for 15? I figured they were posturing but they knew full well those 10 years were bought and paid for and I bet all those prosecutors now have fatter bank accounts.

Wondering what is happening state side with a wrongful death suit??

Interesting isn't it - I wonder what has been going as well.
If Mack doesn't appeal - it wont surprise me.
She's certainly the ring leader in this murder, and the one with the money.

Schaefer got 18 years, the maximum prosecutors had asked for.
Authorities wanted 15 years for Mack, but the judge gave her 10.
Prosecutors have vowed to appeal and pursue the tougher sentence against the teen.
Attorney for both Mack and Schaefer also vowed to appeal.
Though both teens got off comparatively easy, considering Indonesian law allows for execution by firing squad for anyone convicted of murder.
In the MSM link:
If you scroll down to the video of HM swigging away on her alcohol after the sentence - at around 28 seconds on the video, HM is asked will TS appeal and HM says "Of Course"...

What a lot of smoke and mirrors -
if there has been an appeal submitted from either or both parties - where is it?

I also hope that something is happening in the USA - and possibly they can follow up on the prescription drugs that HM fraudulently acquired in Bali.
Why wasn't that followed up - and where were the drugs? What happened to them?

Grrrrrrr.

These were the reported Charges Dec 10 2014
Both Mack and Schaefer will be charged with several articles of the Criminal Code, including:

Article 340 on premeditated murder, which carries the death penalty;

Article 338 on murder carrying a 15-year prison term;

Article 170 subsection 2 on violence causing death, which has a maximum 12-year prison term;

and Article 221 on hiding a criminal carrying a nine-month prison term.

Mack will also be charged with Article 44 subsection 3 of Law no. 23/2004 on domestic violence, which carries a 15-year prison term.

As far as Im concerned neither of them came close to the sentence terms that they have (bought) been dealt.
Interesting that HM actually had more charges against her than TS - and she got a lighter sentence.

William Weise - you were spot-on!

I saw this before, but forgot to post it here. In this video, at about the 2:00 mark, Heather is on the phone. This is beforethe sentencing took place. Heather is told exactly what is going to happen. She asks, "They are going to give BOTH of us a reduction? Or me?" The video cuts away, then comes back and HM says, "Oh my God, Caroline". Don't know who Caroline is, but this shows that HM knew what was going to happen before court. I bet TS didn't know that he was not getting a reduced sentence. Probably part of the reason why he was so angry after the sentencing.

Good catch! It sure looks like someone knew and told her prior to sentencing what was going to happen. :notgood:

Looks like lying, fake evidence and bribery are the norm in Bali courts. In what realm will the victim in the Noor Ellis case be spoken for? I guess this is standard over there when there's money to be had. No one is ever called by the prosecution to prove the defence is lying through their teeth? Oh wait, not if they've been paid to look the other way. Silly me.

That's actually an amazing piece of footage. Nice catch WF!
The cheques must have cleared. :notgood:
I notice how concerned she is about TS not getting any reduction.
Just makes the day in court for sentencing seem moot - Im not sure why she bothered to cry - she already knew she had her sentence reduced.

I feel sorry for the baby. At first in the video I thought it was a play doll until I realized it was a baby. She's more concerned about her smartphone than the baby. Is it normal to bounce a baby around like that? jmo

Well she's made claims that the baby is "colicky". But I've yet to hear the baby utter a sound in all of the video footage we've seen of her. Anyway, perhaps she does have a particular time of day where she is fussy and crying and HM bounces her around to shut her up because she's probably getting advice from the other inmate in there with a baby. You know...the one who beat and neglected her 4yr old stepson while his father was away working and left him alone to die. Who is now raising her own child with the same man in the prison and is likely HM's only cellmate by now. :rolleyes:

Today there were pics of the new royal baby and to think of the extreme birth if these two babies, one with the best care humanly possible and the other living in a Bali jail cell with a psycho killer. Jmo

If the baby is "colicky", in this case it's from being breastfed alcohol and caffeine. Just a wild guess...

Don't forget to throw in a little cigarette smoke as well. ;)

Heather's trust lawyers are set to appear this morning in front of Cooke County judge Neil Cohen to ask for another $200,000 to pay her attorney fees because prosecutors are appealing her sentence. It's an emergency filing. Her attorney says he won't represent her unless all his fees are paid in full, immediately.

Judge Cohen's previously said he's not inclined to hand over another penny until he knows more about the conviction and sees it in writing.

Here is the Emergency Motion - sheds more light on what transpired in the Chancery / Funds.

Nothing is noted new in the Chancery since 04/27/2015 it is still set for 06/01/2015

Thanks for posting this Bugbear. It confirms that HM has not been convicted of pre-meditated murder, but only as an "accessory". This is seriously bad news. Can the "slayer rule" still be invoked? HM has been clever in protecting 1/3 of the trust monies for Stella because it means that even if she uses up the remainder of the funds defending herself, there will still be money left when she gets out of Kerobokan.

That is outrageous. You know the court is going to come back with something in writing claiming she was convicted under article 56 so that she has a chance at getting more bribe money for them. I thought the maximum sentence for that was 9 months? Unreal.
