The Centre of Forensic Science was also brought in to sample and test the blood.

The process works like this - the police investigators test the surfaces to see if blood is present, then scientists from the Centre of Forensic Sciences to tests on spots where blood is found.

The "sheer volume of work" led @HaltonPolice and @WRPSToday to call in Centre of Forensic Science for help at scene. #Bosma

The centre for forensic science also came, on Thurs. May 16, due to "sheer volume of work." #Bosma

learning about forensic blood testing at #TimBosma trial. Witness is very informative, talking to jury

Det. Const. Laura Mclellan is back on the stand at #Bosma trial. Talking about the forensics done on Millard's trailer, Bosma truck

Wow, blood visible inside the trailer to the naked eye? Didn't AJ see any in the truck? Or is this on other items that got thrown in there?

So blood evidence not only found inside the truck but inside the trailer as well? Am I reading this correctly?

Was this before leaving Hamilton or after arriving in Tillsonburg? Obvious to me that seal is broken.....would make sense if this was once it got to Tillsonburg, but less so if it was still in Hamilton....anyone?

Is it usual to submit everything you swab to the CFS?" Crown Tony Leitch asks. "No, it would inundate them," Mclellen responds. There's also a cost aspect.

Adam Carter
Feb 11 2016 2:28 PM
There were 64 blood swabs taken that day. They were then sent to the CFS for DNA profile.

There are also "handler DNA" areas swabbed inside the truck -- the common areas people touch. They might not necessarily have blood on them, but investigators still check for DNA there.

I would guess it's a photo from Tillsonburg, cause the lock is also on backwards from the other pics.

Blood contains DNA, but so do other cells like skin cells. Sometimes a person can leave them on a surface, and that's what investigators might potentially find.

There were also 12 "handler DNA" spots swabbed, like door handles, steering wheel, and gear shift.

There were no licence plates on the truck inside the trailer, she says. But they did get the VIN number.

Or it's just flipped around. I wonder if this seal was put on in Tillsonburg by Officer Troubridge when it arrived there? Looks like it wasn't searched until the next morning, the 15th?

The truck was examined from May 14 to May 17, 2013.

Court now seeing pictures of the trailer opened. You can see the truck from back on and a green tarp with what appears to be burned out seats under it. No decals on the truck and the tail lights have been removed.

Friend with lockbox?

MOO

Maybe I'm not getting the right Hagermann. Was it an Ontario no.? The one at McKesson spells his last name with one N. Maybe it was long distance to a M. Hagermann in Pennsylvania who is an engraver and likes to engrave guns, gun handles, and brass knuckles.

Need more info about if the cell no. was local or not.

That would make sense....the broken one is the one Gibson put on which broke during the drive from Hamilton to Tillsonburg.....and then the secure one was added by Troubridge once the trailer got to Tillsonburg.....makes sense to me. Good call.

Well if there is anyone out there who is thinking about committing a crime and trying to cover it up....they may want to follow this case and learn all about cell phones and DNA. The only way you are getting away with anything is if you move to a jungle somewhere.

Crown: What's the plan when you go into the trailer? Officer: Take a deep breath, and make a plan #MillardSmich

Inside trailer police found a green tarp, burned-out car seats, & a black truck with no plates, decals or tail lights. #TimBosma

"Take a deep breath, look at what we have and then make a plan," officer says of starting the huge forensic exam.

Seeing photo of a burned out front seat. Just metal, no fabric. No blood because it was set on fire.

Shannon Martin ‏@ShannonMartinTV 54s54 seconds ago Hamilton, Ontario
Expert: It looked like the seats had been set on fire. Court see photographs of burnt seats from inside Bosma's truck. #MillardSmich #Bosma
