Karla pulled the same thing. Just saying. MM is in no way a Karla.

This is to MM's advantage as she is trying hard to minimize her involvement. What did BD have to gain from saying MS was good for her after an abusive previous relationship? Will they will mention who witnessed it? BD claimed to smoke pot every day with MS, and mentioned MM was often there.

Sigh...I know these abusive relationships have many complexities and those of us who are not involved will never truly understand them....but it pains me every time I hear about or read about a woman who is being abused yet they choose to stay. She even wanted to have his baby!!! I can't even fathom what it would be like if one of my daughters grows up, is in an abusive relationship and chooses not to leave. I guess my wife and I are responsible for laying that ground work and building that self esteem while they are still young and as they grow. MOO

Unfortunately I was quite sure that we would get to this point with the cross examination. MM, for her young years, has seen a lot I believe and now we are hearing all about it.

They are going to crucify her to save the other two.

I can see past what the Defense is doing and btw, it's what they get paid for, however, I hope the Jury can see the whole picture and not get caught up in the drama of what is happening now.

Very sad indeed. One good thing to come of her testimony is that she's finally free and she's helping put the nail on MS' coffin. This kind of testimony will only help the jurors understand why she lied and covered for him, that's what abused women do.

For example, her sister knew MM wasn't in a great relationship but didn't know of abuse. IMO, that is because MM hid it from others.

I think MM's sister was never asked the question directly as to whether she was abused..she did say she would not attend a wedding if she married Smich.

I understand the emotions and gravity of the situation, but I also understand the emotions of being wrongly accused. Are you not curious of the proof? The claim has a big impact on her testimony.

IMHO, Sachak himself has indicated that she was abused. MS's suggestion that she strip is a huge red flag for me, suggesting that he had MM exactly where he wanted her to be. IIRC, there's a common denominator here with these 2. LB had gone from being emotionally unstable to being an escort. IMHO, abuse of young women like MM happens more often than we care to notice. The abuser(s) give a little, take a little, give a little, take more than a little and so it goes until they have the gf exactly where they want them: dependent, mentally messed up, alone and scared. If there's one thing Sachak's cross is showing me, it's exactly how used and abused MM was. At the ripe age of 19, she didn't have a clue. Wonder if we'll be saying the same thing about CN? I expected that MM was in a confusing, abusive relationship- I just don't see that with CN. I'm still shaking my head about DM wanting MS to get a real job? IMHO, that's the last thing that DM really wanted. It would have been a pretty lonely world for DM if his BFF was at work everyday making his own legal money. MOO
