I can keep up the media feed for the afternoon. Would people prefer I post form more robust reporter feed? If so, please send me the link to that.

From what I saw on the hangar video, MS only momentarily looked over his shoulder to see Pedo who followed them seconds later.

All MOO.

Well he "f'd up" a lot. He is not confidence inspiring. In his words "my ideas weren't very good"...or something to that effect. Like his rap lyrics.

What is not admissible? Texts between MS and MWJ are not admissible if they are asking MS to interpret, because it is hearsay.
Yes. Typo - texts were between DM and MWJ...so MS cannot speculate on. IMO crown should have entered these as evidence, but earlier in the trial. Perhaps DM lawyers successfully argued against them...

As Fraser effectively counters MS's answers it adds the much needed no-nonsense perspective to MS's testimony. Of course here and there some of the things that MS was involved in doing or saying may be coincidental or harmless, and therefore the odd thing could have an alternative explanation, but that does not make it acceptable to surmise that the majority of things have reasonable explanations. That's just too big a leap to take, IMO.

There is so much circumstantial evidence against MS and despite MS's excuses or selective memory, Fraser is making it very clear for the jury that MS was not just an unlucky guy caught in the wrong place with a very dangerous guy in a horrible situation, MS too is a dangerous guy who showed by his words and behaviour that he conspired willingly with DM to plan and help execute TB's truck theft and murder and actively tried to cover it all up for and with DM, and for his own sake.

All MOO.

Court back in session. No jury yet. #TimBosma #Bosma

Maybe started out as fantasy, but they put it into action. Who knows how far they went with it.

I agree, don't google it. Fargo is a good movie though. The story line is around crimes of opportunity occur that tempt people who ordinarily would not venture into any criminal activity and in the process they become involved in hardcore psychopaths involved in the criminal underbelly.

Fraser now reading out from Smich's examination in chief. Smich said it was "always the intention to scope it, and then steal it." #Bosma

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 1m1 minute ago
Fraser says the plans had changed from scope and steal to including killing, but Smich doesn't agree. #TimBosma #Bosma

Fraser suggests the plan now was "scope and steal" in one fell swoop. #Bosma

He said "because all of the other times we scoped out the exact same kind of vehicle...nothing ended up coming of it." #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
In the examination in chief by Dungey, Smich had said it was always the intention to scope it and then potentially steal it. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Fraser suggests by this point plans had changed. The "scope and steal" plan had changed to the new plan. #Bosma

Back. Fraser asks about the night of May 6. #Bosma

As we hear of SB crying, and all of us still trying to understand why DM and MS wouldn't just steal the truck, it seems like a pertinent time to recall the OPP profiler comments from 2013... BBM

James Van Allen, former head of the OPP's criminal profiling unit, believes whoever is responsible had murder in mind from the get-go.
"This could have been a standard carjacking: overpower him, leave him," said Van Allen, who heads the Behavioural Sciences Group in Langley, B.C.
"But we see a determination here to not be detected, to delay discovery or identification of the body. When Mr. Bosma went for the test drive, he was
a marked man." He added that the killer is someone who is exploitive, abusive, lacks any empathy and is a risk-taker.

The murder deviates from what is typically seen in the car theft racket, he said, where excessive violence is not the norm.
"This is too elaborate to steal one truck; to have these allegations of multiple people involved, multiple attempts to access a truck."
What doesn't add up, he said, is why anyone would murder for a truck. And "is the crime incongruent with the person charged?"

The profiler also pointed out that simply because someone has an education and money, it doesn't mean they aren't capable of heinous acts.
"It's not uncommon for allegedly smart people to be caught by police for crimes like this. They think they are smart enough to commit a crime but
don't have the skills to avoid detection. There is often overconfidence there. And there can be risk gratification involved as well."

Whoever murdered Tim Bosma, burned his body and left the remains in the area clearly was trying to cover his tracks, but the attempt was poorly
conceived. "It was a plan, but not a great plan," said Van Allen. "It displays overconfidence and inexperience. This is someone who thinks a half-hearted
effort is enough — someone not accounting for the lengths to which police will go to solve this crime."

Smich says "if it was right" they would "scope and steal" in one swoop. #TimBosma #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
"The plan was, if it's right, you take it," Fraser says. Smich says he'd agree with that. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Smich says if all the variables were right and in their favour, they would steal, he agrees. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
Fraser asks, if Igor's truck goes missing, "what is the first thing he says? It was those two guys who were in my truck." #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Smich argues he wouldn't have necessarily known it was them, they wouldn't have necessarily gone back the same day to steal it. #Bosma

This comment negates and discredits MS's explanation for bringing extra clothes.

"I'm on my way to a mission now. If it's a flop, I'll be done in two hours, if it goes... it'll be an all nighter." #Bosma #TimBosma

Fraser now asking about another message from Millard to Christina Noudga. #TimBosma #Bosma

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 1m1 minute ago
Smich says he didn't talk with Millard about it being an "all nighter" when he was in the car with him. #TimBosma #Bosma

Adam Carter ‏@AdamCarterCBC 1m1 minute ago
Smich says he wasn't part of this conversation, but it was supposed to be a scoping mission. #TimBosma #Bosma

Pillay objects, Smich wasn't there when this text was sent so can't comment. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 27s28 seconds ago
But of course you weren't back soon," Fraser says. Smich agrees--"that's why she was worried." #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 1m1 minute ago
He says he did have a conversation with Marlena that he was going to be back "soon" which is why she was expecting him that night. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 2m2 minutes ago
Fraser asks if Millard mentioned to him when he got in the car. Smich says they did not discuss this "all nighter" time frame. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 3m3 minutes ago
Smich says it's not his mission--Millard wants the truck. Fraser says he's part of it. #Bosma

molly hayes ‏@mollyhayes 3m3 minutes ago
Fraser references Millard's text to Noudga that night re: mission("if it flips, l be done in 2 hrs. If it goes, it'll be an all nighter.")
