What's with the Maine - Brooklyn connection?


There is a long historical connection between Brooklyn & Maine.

Maine is an easy please to distribute drugs and to recruit young innocent girls to become prostitutes.

PS149, that is an amazing find. Especially, since we have a direct link through AC, MW, RB and the club scene in Portland. Quite a few other questionable links to young women and men living in the area of Congress St or last seen in that area as well.

Several things stood out to me in that short snippet:
(Once again) the Gambino name comes up. Gambinos live at Oak Beach and the youngest CPH was good friends with the Gambino son of the same age group.

Secondly, the name Massaro. A search finds dozens of people with this surname in LI...specifically, in the Manorville and the Massapequa area.

Then Napolitano, had connections to Tampa and FT Lauderdale FL as well as Las Vegas...all of the places described as the seasonal "circuit" by, IIRC, the man who ran the diner in Atlantic City who was interviewed re: the prostitutes in AC.

One other thing stood out...this Roz said she was from the Bronx.

Month-long operation used Backpage.com to connect johns with undercover police officers posing as sex workers

MINEOLA, N.Y. – A month-long, undercover operation conducted by the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office and the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) has resulted in the arrest of 104 suspected johns accused of using the website Backpage.com to arrange meetings with undercover police officers posing as prostitutes.

Visual and audio footage of each meeting was captured by hidden cameras located in the hotel rooms that served as the scene of the stings. The group of men arrested includes doctors, lawyers, bankers, teachers, and other professionals...

The NCPD placed online ads on Backpage.com advertising escort services provided by both women and men. Each ad provided a phone number, and patrons called to arrange a rendezvous with an escort at a local hotel or motel where undercover officers had wired rooms with cameras. When the johns arrived, they met an officer posing as a prostitute, and once money was offered for sex, they were arrested and charged....

Here is the link to the list of names of the 104 arrested. If LISK still active in the area, odds are very good that he is one of the 104 men on this list!!!

When you consider how many hookers advertise on how many internet sites, and how many people buy their services, the odds of LISK being on that list are minuscule.
Two things bother me about Ms. Rice's list..
First, putting out names and address' of accused people is giving them a sentence of at least embarrassment before the justice system does it's job. All these people plead not guilty and should have their day in court before any sentence is imposed. I highly doubt there will be a list of johns who were arrested and had charges dismissed published.
Second, I don't recall any "bait the hookers list" where the names and address' of people arrested for selling sex is published stating how loathsome it is to sell sex.
I've got a feeling this will turn around and bite her in the butt.

It's one thing to arrest johns who are arrested when consorting with actual prostitutes; they've broken the law and that's the way it goes. But stings, where officers dress up as prostitutes and lure the dummies in to arrest them - that's just wrong. It's the police creating an atmosphere to facilitate criminal activity; great for their quotas, I'm sure.
