I only watched MaM once, back in January. I barely remember the show now, anyone else? lol

I have never watched the series and maybe one day i will, but i think it would just make me angry & sad from what others have said about it.

I don't think there anyone here who's only watched MaM (although this is the subtle way some like to suggest, that we cant think for ourselves). I highly doubt the judge who overturned Brendans conviction only watched MaM!

Those who don't think any evidence was planted:

Go search your nightstand eight times and tell me what new evidence turns up.

Perhaps those who think there was no planting, have some mysterious ability to * see* in a way that millions of other people on the planet don't possess.

Time will tell.

Yeah it's funny how the had run of the Avery place and all the searches they did and turned up nothing. Then all of a sudden they started finding evidence. That in itself is very suspicious to me. They must think people are stupid to go along with that script.

We all know organized crime is real. Nobody disputes that. Mafia, 1% Motorcycle clubs, high level street gangs etc..

Why is it so hard for some to believe that organized crime can rise to the level of holding power within LE, within politics and within the justice system. I mean really? These syndicates are all about power and control. Do you not think that over the years and decades(hell, maybe even centuries), that these groups, ESPECIALLY in smaller counties and towns, could rise to this level of power and control. Of course it is possible. It is almost inevitable!!

I am 100% confidant BD had nothing to do with this murder(i don't even see proof of a murder yet!). But I am a little concerned with how deep this corruption goes. Surely it couldn't go to the level of the 7th circuit.. could it?

Do you have a source that confirms the nightstand was searched 8 times?

There were others IMO who should of been investigated as to who killed TH. She was receiving some phone calls prior to her death that she didn't want to answer. Someone harrassing her about something? And her ex b/friend, and we will never know much about her life other than what we have read but nothing about any problems she might have been having in her life. I definitely think there were other people in this case that should of been investigated. But they wanted to pin this on Avery and they used Dassey to make all their stuff stick to the wall, and that's exactly what they did.
And if you don't think police corruption exists, and how far that rabbit hole can go, then i'm sorry but you are mistaken. JMO.
Who else should have been "investigated" that wasn't?

In any investigation, they follow the evidence. They don't just select random people. In this particular case it led straight to SA.

with all the publicity surrounding Brendan - I worry that when he is released he will have lots of new "friends" "helping" him out - IMO Brendan Dassey will be a very rich man in the future, I just hope he has learned to call a spade a spade - and stand up for himself while he was locked away -

Doesn't matter how many times someone has watched the show. Whether you have watched it once or a thousand times, it only takes one time to plant the seed.

Do u know if they followed the evidence of someone harassing Teresa via phone? IIRC. someone reported she was having harassing phone calls prior to being murdered - IMO - THAT person should have been investigated.. if they have followed up on the statement - can u link it for me - I wouldn't mind reading who it was they spoke to regarding harassing phone calls that were reported

Yes, it was SA, he rang her 3 times that day plus one in the morning requesting she come see him. [emoji51]

Thanks, but I was serious - I don't follow the "paperwork" much -- but I do recall her roommate or brother told LE that Teresa told she was getting harassing phone calls - DId LE follow up on that?

Hi Karinna,
I know that corruption exists, but in this particular case, I just see some bumbling by investigators and nothing more. Don't forget, everyone on the Avery Salvage Yard was interviewed. As for the phone calls Teresa was receiving? Well, there is no concrete proof that any number were giving her grief. Given she was visiting 3/4/5 properties a day in her job, I would agree that the multiples of people that could be investigated, would outweigh those that actually were.

In other cases? Well yes, Detective 101 is to look at the Ex, the immediate family, persons known to her etc. However, Avery falls into the 'Persons Known To Her.' So what we have here is Detective 101 - proving Occams Razor.

Avery made this easy to be pinned on him, by actually committing the crime and getting caught for it. But for him crushing the Rav4 & disposing of it, ensuring the cremains were never found & silencing the person he probably coerced into the crime with him, he would definitely be sitting on an Island with a great deal of cash beneath him. (I don't buy the $36m settlement, it would have been less.)

If there is any other evidence that someone else other than Avery & Dassey committed this crime, then I would ask to see it. As for people wanting to pin it on them? How obvious would that have looked and how water tight the evidence would have needed to be.

It was good enough to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. I am afraid people need to embrace this.

Nice debating with you though. :)

The law enforcement officers who should never have been investigating in the first place, lead straight to SA.
Remember???😉

And yet have never been reprimanded.

Quite the contrary, a few, received an
award for work on the case.

Which leads me to CoolJs point..

How far up does corruption run??

Yes, I don't know if that is the same individual who was in touch with her who was a Registered Sex Offender.....which Steven Avery was NOT. I haven't saved or bookmarked all the articles but when I get a chance I will see if I can find a link..

IMO
Much more evidence
which should have been followed, photographed, properly investigated.

All by the proper authorities

IIRC it was her colleague that said her phone rang one time and she didn't want to answer it although she knew who it was. I'm not sure if he used the word harassed though. A few months ago I kept getting annoying calls from an online casino harassing me to sign up. That doesn't mean they're going to kill me. They're just annoying.

Nope, because they had a scapegoat at the ready: Steven Avery.

From what i read in that motion to release him on bond earlier it said he was a gentle kind of guy. So i don't know if he would stand up to others?

Incorrect. EA gave PS permission to search the property and she found the RAV 4. That is what led LE.

Why shouldn't they be awarded? I doubt those who made the decision relied on gossip and innuendo.

I think Safeguard was putting forth to search our own nightstands?
