This is driving me crazy! I have searched on all of the Brianna threads, and while posters mention the perp's vehicle having a dome light up near the windshield, no one has speculated on what make the truck/suv might be - or maybe the search function wasn't working correctly.

I did find one post where someone said Hummers have lights like that, and went on to say that other vehicles do too, but didn't say which makes. I live in Reno, and ever since Brianna was abducted and the description released I check every truck/suv I see - I have yet to see one with a forward dome light.

There must be a car/truck freak somewhere on this site who can say something like, "Chevys have lights like that." I have been googling my brains out looking at auto parts, but I'm not getting anywhere. Is it something more common on older vehicles?

I'd think that LE would've released some information like that too. They're the ones with access to databases that have vehicle models and characteristics unless this is something that the owner installed after market. The radio and console were described in detail as well.

But I would think that someone on here might have some suggestions. The description of the radio (blue lights) and the console (skinny) would be much harder to check for while out driving around. Color me frustrated.

I'm no auto freak by any stretch…yet, I've been thinking about this for weeks now. So for what it's worth: The "DOME" lighting for most Toyota trucks is under the rear view mirror and mounted in the juncture where the windshield meets the roof.

Then I got to thinking (which is always dangerous!) and thought about my Jeep Cherokee; although its dome light is at the mid-point in the ceiling between driver and passenger, there are also individual map lights up and under the mirror. The console in the Jeep is very similar to how she's described, but so is an Explorer, Navigator, where if one were to purchase after market equipment, it would be installed there in the rear just as she claimed.

The person at myspace we've all come to know and love looks to have a Toyota Tundra deluxe with 'step-up' bar for getting in; furthermore, I have looked at almost every photo he's got from friends etc., remember this family just had a brand new baby in early January.

The significance of checking out his friends is that there are a couple who fit the description better than this person does. CHEERS gang!

I know what you mean! I wish someone could answer these questions too especially for those who live in the area like you said, to be on the lookout.

Thanks for the post! Front map lights crossed my mind too. I keep looking, but I swear every truck/suv is starting to look the same.

That helps, Leviosa and thank you :) I will say that an Explorer (at least ones I've seen) don't have a flat console and the gearshift is on the steering column and also don't have a blue/red display on the radio. The dome light is also centered in the ceiling. So I'd rule out an Explorer. I haven't seen this myspace you're mentioning but is this a possible suspect?

Yep. Although it's an open field, it's hardly an isolated area. There is lots of much more open space around - although you would have to drive a little further.

The choice of this field just seems odd to me. It's not the type of area you'd drive into and expect to have open space - there is this lot and a couple others, but if you were to randomly exit 395 at the South Meadows Parkway exit you would not expect there to be open fields close by. (If you look at most of the online mapping services, realize that the pictures they use are almost all out of date, and what may look like open area is often developed as of today in that part of town). It makes me think he knew this field would be available.

,
Are all the buildings we see in the pictures commercial establishments?

What I'm wondering is if most if not all of the surrounding buildings are commercial, and as such would only be occupied during daytime hours, or in the case of restaurants, have a closing time? There would be a time-frame of about 6 hours, from midnight until 6:00am, when there would be very few people in the area, with the exception of night-time janitorial crews. This might be the time that the suspect disposed of the body.

If the body was disposed of on January 20th, the day Brianna was kidnapped, no one would be aware yet that there was a missing woman.

I'm answering out of turn, but there are fields there in the middle. It's mostly an area of modern-type industrial parks, with in-roads snaking around. It really does look like it sprung up over night and has lots of fields around and in-between the developments - pretty much what many parts of South Reno looks like

For you, it's always a pleasure!

Very nice of you to give us an up close look into this tragedy...Her body was really close to the road.

I hate to think that she was there longer than 1 week. Granted they say snow was there.

That's the impression I got from looking at 's photos. The buildings all look new, and the one that was directly across from where people placed their memorials looked like the back of a Chinese restaurant. Jan. 20 was a Sunday and the following day was a holiday (Martin Luther King Day) so I'd think it'd be fairly quiet around there.

So many isolated places around Reno, but he takes her to a not so isolated spot 8 miles away. I hope they check out every male that has a good view of that field from their office.

Right, it looked like a convenient drop off. Leave work, dump body.

I didn't see 's picture posts until now - I haven't been following the case here.

Yep, convenient freeway access (395) and just a few miles south of the 395/80 junction. We only have two freeways here.

When I saw on another map how close it was to the Hwy 395 I thought it also might be possible he lives in an area south of Reno and just dumped her there because it is an industrial area and then proceeded home. What's south on 395 from there?

Which I agree, that Chinese bldg is sooo close, how many inches of snow was on this area a week ago, does any one know?

South Reno is probably the fastest growing area around here. Just south of that industrial area (around Double Diamond) are tons of new housing/apartment complexes. I still get the feeling he lives closer to UNR though - just a hunch - but I think he's hunting close to home and dumping further away. He might work down there though.

There was quite a bit on the ground last week. I still have an inch or so on the north saide of my house, but I'm at a slightly higher elevation.

Ok, so the theory is, he dumped her in the snow. Because even if the body was there one week, from seeing those photobuckets from , there are cars parked easily there.

Do cars park there for parking or driving to get to these buildings? I am still trying to understand why it took one week for anyone to notice that there was a dead woman there, and a highly profiled case at that.
