The guy who they keep referring to as the brother in law........who is he related to? Is he the woman killer's brother? TIA

The Reddit poster that created that map/website admitted he made up his OWN definition of what he considers a "mass shooting" and that includes gang drive by's, drug dealers shooting at each other etc...

The fact that guys website is now being used as a "definitive source" instead of Department of Justice statistics is ridiculous.

It's not mass shooting it's terrorism, some would like it defined that way though but it's Terrorism as in the war on terror. jmo

not saying you said that

'They're PULLING out bodies': Workers see chaos from window

truly took my breath away - you dont think about everything all other people "saw" and thought while watching everything.....

unreal video caution for some

I makes me so sad to think of how calm (and brave) these office workers sound. Not too long ago an event unfolding like this most people would be hysterical. We are really becoming desensitized to horrific violence aren't we? This video is haunting to me because of this. [emoji20]

I think his wife is the sister of Syed.

Sine a close encounter with being drafted in the Vietnam era I've considered our leaders who want to commit troops to ill-defined "missions" overseas to be terrorists of the first rank as they and those who support them cavalierly seek to send our young into battle, there to put their lives on the line and perhaps be shipped home in body bags and caskets.

Apples and oranges, wfgodot.. I won the Lottery; the Vietnam Draft Lottery. We can either fight ISIS over there, or we can fight them over here as we have witnessed in San Bernadino, CA.. ISIS and other radical jihadist do not abide by the rules of war.
'Make the choice'..

Authorities have said the two were not on any watch lists. A senior U.S. law enforcement official said that Farook was in contact with persons of interest with possible ties to terrorism but that these were not “substantial” contacts.

bbm Looks like they need to lower the bar on who to take as a serious threat. jmo idk

Maybe what is meant is that he contributed to a (legitimate) religious charity and that charity group has members (who may not even be contact with one another) who are being surveilled (the bar for that being EXCEEDING LOW) (thanks for letting us know about all that, Snowden).

Not enough info at all to go on.

Interesting- because they actually do recruit women to be wives all the time, this makes sense. Whether they are getting European women to convert to Islam, or promising jihadis a supply of infidel women to rape too. They have been using women as a lure all along, to get other men to join. Looks like some of them aren;t told this up front. Have heard not all suicide bombers know what the plan is, and think they're just making phone calls and boom.

I understand this is a polarizing event. IMO, in the same way Muslims are taking heat, when the facts clearly idicate that mass shootings are committed mostly by white Americans- I have no agenda, that has what history and events clearly prove.

The same thing is happening as it relates to marriages of convience. All nationialiites do it , for all sorts of reasons - just dont want it become like Jihads are the only folks doing this to get into the country, have aiabi, and commit murders.............

There is very little kickback to a AR15, of course I'm used to a shotgun. The AR15 shoots a relatively small round, it's not like the old M1.

I find that the ar15 feels like it pulls more than it kicks, but, I am more use to shotguns as well. I don't think any significant training besides watching YouTube and practicing reloading would be needed to carry this out.

San Bernardino Shooter Was 'Bad Person,' Not Radical: Brother-in-Law

SAN BERNARDINO, California — A brother-in-law of one of the San Bernardino shooters said the Christmas party massacre was "a personal act" unconnected to the culprit's Muslim faith and described him simply as "a bad person."

Farhan Khan said he had "no idea" what led to Wednesday's rampage, in which 14 people were killed. He added that Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, were "a happy couple" who loved their baby daughter. The tot was left with her grandmother before the mass shooting.

You would expect family to say something like this. It doesn't mean a thing. The PR spin on this act of Terrorism (in my opinion) has begun.

I agree that we need to collect all evidence to prove what type of Terrorism this was, however it is beginning to smell like our leaders aren't going to be definitive about it anytime soon which I feel could be disastrous. Here we are, sitting ducks. A national alert would at least have us more prepared for any follow up attacks.

Quick post to say thanks to everyone here at WS. I was watching CNN & all those news channels and Dear God they talk to the public like we are morons or preschoolers. If they ask another witness: "So tell me, how did you feel?" I may implode.

I thought: "Eff this...I'm off to Websleuths to get the real story & good info." :)
That's why I ALWAYS go to WS for breaking news. The Talking heads on TV are idiots and I never ever watch them anymore [emoji5]

Maybe not.

What's the point if a watch list anyway if your not monitoring who these people are communicating with? Smdh.

Ugh.

The internet is a lot like splitting the atom was. Nuclear fission gives us a lot of relatively clean and plentiful power... but it can also blow the entire world up. Depends, you know, how you use it and why. The internet is the same thing, except it's all based on access to knowledge.

Screw their magazine. I hope hackers turn it into recipes for cookies like they've done before.
The last part made me laugh. The picture of a radical nutjob in his kitchen trying to make a bomb and keeps getting chocolate chip cookies instead. Looks up address of nearest diabetic clinic to wreak his holy havoc [emoji1]

I disagree, the shooter would have to practice. It might be easy to shoot a couple of people with a handgun at close range but going after large groups with a rifle? Not as easy.

First off if the group comes at the shooter (instead of staying put passively) they could easily be overwhelmed. Secondly swapping out magazines on an AR quickly would definitely require some practice. Firing a rifle is loud, the weapon kicks, it can jam, it is tricky to reload under pressure, if the magazines are fully loaded they can be very difficult to insert etc...

Thirdly the guns were ILLEGAL in California. Not sure why that isn't being mentioned anywhere, I have to think it serves some agenda.

They clearly used 30 round magazines (illegal in CA) and I don't believe for one moment that the guns had a bullet button. Even if they did they surely had an illegal attachment on the outside allowing for a quick magazine change.

Well I'll be....I looked it up sure enought the A-15 is illigal , not that that means anything (black mrket) other than they are not telling the truth about it

It is not possible for the F.B.I. to conduct round-the-clock surveillance on all its Islamic State suspects since one day of surveillance on a single target might involve 30 agents and analysts or more.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/20/u...le-to-track-homegrown-isis-suspects.html?_r=0

This spring, the number of people under investigation for ties to the Islamic State was so high that surveillance agents had to be taken away from criminal investigations.

How do we prepare for any kind of mass shooting? I was discussing this with my DH last night, and we just don't know how to avoid something you never expect to happen, especially where most people should feel safe.

I hope this sends a message to future and pending attackers. If you attack us here on our own turf, the cops are going to gun you down and watch you bleed out on national television. It's not a very dignified way to end your life.

Of course, as twisted up and backwards thinking as these guys are, they may view it as the perfect way to go out. I can only wish that police dog had gone over there and lifted a leg on him while he was lying on the ground. A fitting end to a useless a$$^%le.

We have to remember tho that to them being killed is like, in America, getting a promotion!

Honorable or whatever

Whatever it is virgins or something
