So her vehicle was processed, but I'm guessing it's not been stated if anything was found, prints other than theirs?
Since the dog tracked both of them up that little hill, I'm surmising she did pick up Jon at some point.
Is there a timeline on here? I'll go look.

Has anyone considered they were put into witness protection or similar?

Witness Protection doesn't work like that. If they were in, LE would know.

The last we heard (several weeks ago) was that DNA and prints were being still processed. They may never release that info though.

Witness protection hasn't been mentioned.

The timeline is pretty basic. There isn't much of one. (I'll try and put something together with actual links later.)

--The last reported sighting of JDR was the afternoon of Wednesday, May 10, by his roommate at their shared apartment in Palm Desert (KMIR)
--The last reported sighting of AM was between 8 & 8:45 the night of Wednesday, May 10, by her sister, at her sister's home in Coachella (numerous reports)

[AM had some form of phone contact with her mother the night of Wed. May 10, sometime after 8. Whether this was a direct voice conversation, or text, or both, is not clear. The photo that we see of JDR and AM at a restaurant was texted to her mother at that time. But the photo itself was taken on an unknown, earlier date. According to a televised interview with AM's mother, AM informed her mother that she was with JDR at the time of the contact. (KMIR)]

---Friday, May 12, 2017, the GMC SUV that AM drove was found parked on I-10, west of Oak Parkway, just inside the border of the city of Beaumont.

It's really unclear if LE has JDR's phone records; but they have reported that AM never pinged outside the EAST Coachella Valley the night of May 10 (ECValley is actually South of Coachella, the city, and includes Brawley) Some reports, though, state that she never pinged outside of the Indio / Palm Desert area, so who knows?

What has been reported pretty consistently by all sources, is that neither JDR or AM's phones were used after midnight on May 10.

Those are the bare bones of this case. There is other information, but it remains very fuzzy.

Sometime between 6 (after he eats pizza) & 8:30ish on May 10, 2017, JDR is with someone, who he leaves his home with--and must have been driven by, so this person or persons has a vehicle. (We aren't told where JDR pings at this time, but he seems fine and is joking with friends--but does not mention that he's going anywhere, apparently.) And whoever this person/s is who he was with, they are not part of his inner-circle of friends, because none of them seems to know who JDR was with.

At around 8:30ish, AM stops by her sister's home and mentions she will be picking JDR up, and she'll be heading in the direction of Brawley to do this, and soon after seeing her sister, either speaks with, or just texts her mother to say that she has met up with JDR, and sends a pic of the two of them, that was not taken that evening.

May 12, 2017 AM's SUV winds up in Beaumont, Two days later they found her car abandoned on the side of the westbound 10 Freeway in Beaumont, near the Oak Valley Parkway exit.--in the opposite direction of where AM told her family she was headed, an the opposite direction of where she pinged.

Snipped and the bold I added :D

I don't know if it was ever specifically said that "both" scents were tracked. I could be wrong but I thought reports said his was. Anyone here know if it was in fact both?

I don't think WP is an option here as there wouldn't be a detective assigned or so much energy to find them etc... as per ODC yesterday when I asked if they were located but didn't want to be found (i.e. Hiding from death threat) they said family would be informed that they were located and that's all they can do.

Hi guys.

A few years ago, the ACLU filed requests with LE agencies in numerous states seeking information regarding their use of cellphone location data to track people.

Since there were several members with questions regarding LE's access to cellphone and tower data, the documents linked below that were supplied by the Irvine PD in response to the ACLU's request may be of interest to you:

Hope this helps!

These are great. Thank you.

The NAMUS report brings up two small points, not mentioned before. And it's hard to know how accurate they are. Apparently AM wore glasses. Was she wearing them the night she went missing? Also, the NAMUS report gives a very specific time for the last time AM was seen: 8:47 PM. I wonder where such a precise time came from.

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of her wearing glasses, perhaps it was for driving only? Or maybe that site only says glasses because her DL had corrective lens restriction but she wore contacts?

According to Namus, the vehicle was processed and then returned to the family. But I'm not certain who exactly fills out the NAMUS reports.

Here's the report on Jonathan Darling Reynoso, as well:

BBM - Hi Gracie2112. This is from the NamUs site:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Who can create a missing persons case in NamUs?

Anyone can enter a case, after becoming a registered NamUs user. The case will be verified as an active missing persons case with law enforcement prior to information being published on the site. A National Crime Information Center (NCIC) number or law enforcement case number must be in place before the case is published on the NamUs site (both are preferred). The NCIC number is an official law enforcement tracking number for a missing persons report and can be obtained through a law enforcement agency. These steps are taken to ensure data quality as well as to prevent fraudulent use of the site.

Good point. I also have not seen any photos of her wearing glasses. Legally, I am probably required to wear glasses when driving. All of my sunglasses are prescription - but I never, ever wear my regular glasses. Maybe same for her? Or she is wearing contacts in all of her photos?

So I'm wondering where the 8:47 PM time came from. That seems like a very exact time for someone to be just guessing, and it is in no other published account.

Was it the time the photo or last text was sent from her cell phone?

Maybe that's the time her mom received a text from her or a voice call. I'm thinking mom checked the time on her cellphone and that's why it's an exact time

Read last paragraph. I'm guessing it was the exact time that it was sent.

hi, if I recall correctly the photo at the restaurant was taken a day or two before they went missing. The photo sent to the mother was of both audry and jon at his apartment taken at an earlier unknown date.
I'm trying to be helpful as sometimes the smallest detail can make a difference.
But sometimes I look for my glasses and I'm wearing them, so.

I don't think it was the text time stamp because she reportedly left her sisters house between 8-8:45 so the text had to have been much later because no one would worry early on if she was going to pick up Jon and drive back to his house. I would imagine the texts happened sometime closer to midnight. Maybe between 11-midnight.

I'm thinking this news source (especially this specific one) can't be trusted. There's all kinds of wrong going on...

She left her sisters house not mothers, she text her mother not sister etc etc..

Ha. Yes. Me too. Or my cat knocked them into the flower pot.

I'm going by the KMIR report, which stated that the picture was taken at a time that was unknown--and that the pic we see in most of the missing posters is the one that the mother received by text. I think the report about a pic being taken in JDR's apartment that night was posted early on in the investigation, and was never confirmed.

But honestly. who knows? A lot of "facts" presented on this case are fuzzy at best.

I'm thinking anything to do with "brawley" is a red herring.
The simplest scenario is jon was used as bait to lure audrey to a rendezvous point.
Could a ransom demand have been made and never reported?
mistaken identity?
