A week has gone by and they are no closer to finding Blaze (that we know of) than they were one day one. I hope they start releasing some more information.

Where are you, Blaze?

I feel opposite. It feels to me like LE has an excellent handle on what happened, by digging into his social media, etc. I believe (hope) that the tight control over details released means they are just putting everything together and waiting for someone to slip up. I predict they are leaning hard on the driver, interviewing him over and over, and noting discrepancies as we are. Remember...LE has a LOT more info than we do to include, I'll bet, ping info for driver's phone and a whole slew of other tidbits of electronic info.

I totally get a Taylor Wright vibe from this case. Not necessarily that he's been murdered, but that they have what they need or are close to getting it. In Taylor's case LE told family not to push Taylor's case into the public; no searches, no poster hanging, etc. We thought that very odd but now we know why.

This is MOO.

I am so confused. Why is the driver lying that he went to the restroom that night if the restrooms are NOT locked at night? What am I missing?

It is very strange how well they keep their composure and very calm. I would be a wreck to say the least even when my boys were young and late getting home I would start to become un glued and go out looking for them [emoji30]

This is why I have a suspicion that he may have planned to leave. If he left because he wanted to run away he would have left without telling anyone. Maybe he asked an unsuspecting acquaintance for a ride to the park and that person knew nothing of his real plans.

I think his parents are scared because they don't know where there child is and very concerned with how it appears that he is throwing amazing potential away (based on the focus of how he is brilliant, an IVY league about to be premed student, has his own apartment and selected as the editor of a magazine) but it doesn't come accross to me like they believe he is being held against his will.

I am hoping he is alive and well somewhere and I am hoping he can send a message to his parents that he is safe and just wants privacy and freedom.

Wait a minute....in the thread somewhere it says that the mom had a tracking device on BB phone, and he said she could always find him. But as someone else pointed out, he was using another family member phone. How was she able to track him or find out it was turned off if it was a different phone??

Thanks CATONAHOTTINROOF

First post in this thread, hi! :)

Has it ever been specified that the snapchat (or similar app) conversation was with HS buddy?

Because something just occured to me. Blaze sent his HS buddy his address, and if LE and parents know he did, they must have been able to access whatever service he used for it. I just checked my snapchat, and while I'm technically challenged when it comes to that app, I'm pretty sure that the messages that *I* send disappear too, not only the ones others send me.

So for anyone to be able to see the message with the address, IF it was on snapchat, it would either mean that the message was never read by the recipient, which wouldn't make sense, because HS friend needed the address, OR it wasn't sent on snapchat.

And if it wasn't, that would mean that it was through another service. And that would mean that there might be more of the conversation than just the address, and they have way more info than they're saying.

JMO and maybe I'm not making sense.

I am so confused. Why is the driver lying that he went to the restroom that night if the restrooms are NOT locked at night? What am I missing?

Now I am confused. From what I have read the friend said he drove BB to the park and went into the bathroom AT the park (which is right next to the parking lot and UNLOCKED at night). When he came out of the bathroom at the park, BB was gone.

I think the parents initially were just jumping to conclusions. Since that first blurb to the OCR, the police and the parents have backed away from that statement.

Yes- and it gets the ball rolling- as it is not a crime for an adult to disappear

This lands at random.

Since we have some new members (yay!!!!!) I thought I would mention that if you are replying to a post, pretty please do so by clicking "Reply With Quote" so the rest of us can tell which post you are replying to.
Also sharing this...since I just recently learned it...If you want to backtrack through posts that are quoted to follow the string of thought, you can click on the black and white double arrow box on the post that was quoted (shown in a box). Ugh, I am terrible at giving directions, I hope that makes sense. It's just easier to get right to the quoted post that way instead of scrolling and paging back to find it.

Someone here just posted its locked at night. It's a very small one stall restroom.

Can we confirm this somehow if it's locked or unlocked?

You were very clear -- thank you. I often want to help, but I'm terrified of giving horrible help, if that makes sense. [emoji38]

I always think LE has more information than they are leading us to believe that they have in these cases and, at the end of the day, I am usually wrong, unfortunately. I really hope you are right.

could this be a 'faked' kidnap for ransom?
if the parents suspected that it would explain the "you can come home" and similar comments made by them.

Could their recent comment (paraphrasing) "...no matter what" suggest perhaps that Blaze became involved with someone thought of as unsavory by the parents. Could this have been a past buisness associate / friend of their's? Someone who they had an adversarial relationship with them that could have a motivation to compromise their son? Could Blaze fit the profile of a 'fixer' in the family?

Their comment just jumped out at me.

Also I would kindly disagree with those of you who stated that kids like Blaze are not at risk for trafficking or sexual exploitation. Particularly boys of a certain type, white, good looking and younger looking than they actually are imho at very high at risk for this. Anecdotally for decades boys like this have been abducted or groomed by others to no good end.

I think we all can relate to having had some confusion about our emeging sexuality at his age, when you toss in coming to terms with everything attendant to coming out, if this was the case, makes people his age especially vunerable.

Thanks for the welcome btw!! :heartluv:

Great post - and I agree.
In modern gay culture, BB's youthful appearance, blue eyes and small frame could easily have him categorized as what is known as a "twink". (and a handsome one at that!)
I am of the opinion a twink would be very much a target for a sex trafficking predator. It's not outside the realm of possibility.

I wonder if there’s a possibility that Blaze just went outside to talk to the “friend” and never intended to leave with them, thus leaving his wallet, glasses, etc. Could it have been a set up and he was forced to get in the car, maybe there were two people in the car ? Or, they were just going to ride around a few minutes and talk or something, and instead they took off and wouldn’t let him out of the car?

Idk, I guess I’m all over the place as I don’t know exactly what to think. Though the burned up car still has me very concerned. I hope and pray I have no reason to be.

That's a very interesting point about turning off location services so that someone on Grindr/whatever app could not locate you. I know that with Tinder, the closest it says a person is to you is "less than 500 feet", but Grindr is much more exact ("34 feet away", etc.) So if you were running away from someone in a park at night and did not want the person to be able to track you using the app, it would make sense to turn off your phone's location services.

You learn something new everyday! I didn't even know that you could do this with these apps- who's to say, once again, that he wasn't running away from the driver, seeing that a third alleged person hasn't been brought up since the first day?

Am I the only one that was clueless about those apps being able to track someone's location? If this was discussed before, how did I miss this tidbit?

I cannot confirm whether it is locked at night. But it is actually decent size with one for Female and one for Male. I believe the male one has single long urinal and I think 2 stalls. The urinal could be used by 3 or 4 people. The park is pretty basic. There is decent playground with slides and things to climb on, one soccer size field with a curving sidewalk going around it, and a full size basketball court. At the end of the park is a sidewalk that goes down to the small park area by the Ralphs shopping center and entrance to Whiting Ranch trail. This sidewalk probably has about a 200 foot total loss going down. The Elementary kids use this to meet their parents at the bottom. The school sits right next to the park.

Bringing fwd some of the msm for reference (just joining in here, I haven't had a chance to follow Blaze's case yet as I've been very busy in other threads):
