I have never "bumped" a case before, but tonight when I saw Bob's thread on the second page, I just could not help myself.

He deserves to be front and center on the first page.

He deserves to be brought home.

He deserves to be laid to rest with dignity.

He deserves that much, at the least.

That was another "red herring" thrown into the mix to persuade LE and the public that he wandered away. Ofcourse then there was the "cold feet theory". Unbelievable!

Although I've seen that video before, the more I've learned about Bob's 'disappearance', the harder it is to watch.

This is powerful stuff, and I suspect it will be viewed in a court of law during a sentencing phase for Bob's murder. I want to urge all of you to view it, but I must caution you that, IMO, if you are familiar with what has been revealed about this case, you might find the video heartbreaking and/or enraging.

1. A trial setting/evaluation conference;
2. A mandatory settlement conference;

2. All counsel and self represented parties shall complete a Joint Case Management Statement and submit same to Department L72 at least five (5) calendar days before the hearing.

Yes, but inpatiently. It's been far too long for the justice Bob so deserves already. For myself it won't happen soon enough, should have happened like yesterday.

Mandatory settlement conference is, I believe, a forcible mediation. I wonder if it can be waived at all, especially if both or one side is ready for trial? Just waiting to see additional paperwork filed by the co conservator side...ammended audit, a request for a delay, something.

There have been so many delays, so many excuses. I am tired of delays. I hope the courts see clearly there has been more than enough time for both sides to be prepared and proceed accordingly.

I need a class in using WS... but anyway, after the last court appearance, believe09 posted the following and shortly after that Cloudajo explained in detail what will be covered.

"I think the judge was very fair, and I am afraid the bookeeping was found to be insufficient. The judge set a pre-trial conference for May 2nd to determine if the co-conservators are fit to continue to administer the estate, and for a FULL accounting of the estate.

It interested me that the judge was completely up to speed on Bob's missing person's case which has been reclassified as a homicide." (sniped)

2009 California Probate Code - Section 2650-2655 :: Article 1. Removal Of Guardian Or Conservator

PROBATE CODE
SECTION 2650-2655

2650. A guardian or conservator may be removed for any of the
following causes:

(a) Failure to use ordinary care and diligence in the management
of the estate.

(b) Failure to file an inventory or an account within the time
allowed by law or by court order.

(c) Continued failure to perform duties or incapacity to perform
duties suitably.

(d) Conviction of a felony, whether before or after appointment as
guardian or conservator.

(e) Gross immorality.

(f) Having such an interest adverse to the faithful performance of
duties that there is an unreasonable risk that the guardian or
conservator will fail faithfully to perform duties.

(g) In the case of a guardian of the person or a conservator of
the person, acting in violation of any provision of Section 2356.

(h) In the case of a guardian of the estate or a conservator of
the estate, insolvency or bankruptcy of the guardian or conservator.

(i) In any other case in which the court in its discretion
determines that removal is in the best interests of the ward or
conservatee; but, in considering the best interests of the ward, if
the guardian was nominated under Section 1500 or 1501, the court
shall take that fact into consideration.

So, yes, we all hope that the records are in order next week. My question is, why is this considered a trial? Is this civil or criminal?

The may second date is considered civil court (probate) and is a pre-trial hearing.

I have been interested in Robert Harrod's missing person case from the beginning.

I know (JMO) he was murdered.

I know there are only a handful of people who could be responsible for his murder.

I sense there is no appeal to just come forward or ease your conscience or do the right thing that will make this killer confess.
I sense he/she will have to be dragged into jail, protesting innocence all the way to the death chamber.
I sense family and friends will gather round, with news blitz's, petitions and vigils to save this person from a death sentence.

My hope is that there is forensic evidence glowing in red letters pointing to the most obvious person.
