I am so sorry (I really am trying to understand; good thing I'm not a criminal law student)..........

Karen spoke to Bryce and he said he broke up with KS.
Caron spoke to KS and she said Bryce broke up with her.

You said we need to take Karen's word (not Caron's, as her's is hearsay) and therefor they didn't break up (???)

Yeh, I don't get it either.

Two people have a conversation.
Each of those people tells another person.
How is one hearsay and the other direct? When neither of the people told were physically there and part of the original convo??

Is it because one of the two in the original convo is still around to tell it themselves and the other isn't so who he told becomes direct in his absence?

Makes no sense to me.

From what I have read, the GF stills considers herself as such. That may not mean much, or it may mean that Bryce was acting in such an extraordinary manner that she ignored his break-up talk. If so, that could be important in trying to get a handle on his state of mind, I guess.

Ugh, now even more confused... Has Bryce been interviewed about his conversation with Kim? I have not heard it from his mouth
I thought but am probably confused on this, that Caron spoke with Kim, and Karen spoke with Bryce. Caron reported (I thought) on Kim's experience of the breakup, and Karen (I thought) reported on Bryce's experience of the break up.

I may be missing something here... it's been known to happen IMO

I wasn't confused when I got here but now I need someone to pass me that bottle. Because Bryce did the original speaking, everyone else is later. Therefore Karen and Kim on considered on the same level. Kim has been reduced to a non participant, but rather a witness to this conversation. Crazy. No wonder I hate law.

Woah... Kim is first person... Bryce is first person... Mom heard from Bryce. Caron heard from Kim. Is Mom on a different level so parents are not part of the hearsay rule? Or... need oxygen... I am getting:
"Heard from Mom, who heard from Bryce..."
Vs.
"Heard from Caron, who heard from Kim..."
I can't hear the difference, BUT, I am probably missing something... :banghead:

OMG, just looked at FB profile of KA, the young fisherman from OR.
Side on, he's Bryce's twin. As someone said, he even has a large tatt, but on the other arm.

I haven't read anything else about the purple truck.....only people commenting on the Find Bryce FB page that they are continuing to pass the information along to people that might be able to help find it.

Yes, true but they were all investigated as far as humanly possible - and no results from that. There were many... none panned out, not even the one that has inspections 26 miles away in Desert Hills when in CA. Darn and a half!
