i heard it was ON the road.

Do you remember where you heard this or have any more info on the location?

Going back through to see if we ever found an entry on the logs re: pacifier location. I thought I remember reading in MSM that it was recovered 1/4 mile from the road, but I don't have a link handy :(

That said, I found another interesting / concerning log entry on Page 6:

The pacifier, found off of Platina Road July 10, was submitted to the Department of Justice Laboratory for DNA analysis. The lab confirmed Friday that the pacifier did belong to Ember Graham.

The cousin's g/f said she saw MG and Ember after he went to the Happy Stop market:

A neighbor on the Noosha Lane property recalled seeing Matthew Graham on Wednesday after he returned from Happy Stop Market.

Sara Chabino said Graham stopped to get water and had Ember in his arms. She said she did not see the time and only knows that it was before the sun went down on Wednesday.

So, I understand there's yet another new rumor mill FB page just for answering questions. I sincerely hope someone is screen shotting all the chatter, and taking everything in with a grain of salt. Trust no one, and be suspicious that this is just a CYA maneuver. People who talk too much eventually hang themselves. This was a dumb move, but I appreciate it from my side of a crime solving perspective. It brings us one step closer to finding Ember, and linking anyone else who may have played a part in her disappearance.

REDDING, Calif. (AP) – The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office says DNA testing has found a pacifier recovered in an isolated area

According to Sgt. Pat Kropholler, the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives located a pacifier off Platina Road in Ono on July 10.

The pacifier, which was found off of Platina Road in the Ono area July 10, previously had been identified by Jaimie Graham as Ember's pacifier, deputies have said.

NOTE to Kimi, I know I read the quarter mile reference somewhere but have searched my heart out and can find no reference to that in MSM. Makes me think I read it from an unreliable or unverified source site :(

I'm trying to make sense of this but I haven't found any information in the press release where it says the pacifier was found on the train tracks. I did see a different press release on the same page of the Shasta website that specifies 1/4 mile north of Oasis, but it wasn't pertaining to MG or the backpack or pacifier. Please help! :)

Train tracks? Way out there? I think that somehow you picked up part of another report on that Sheriff's page:

All the fb pages, various accounts, I dunno if we'll ever have answers or find Ember.

LE needs to clear up details. A blanket or scarf??

This is what I noticed too, so I asked for clarification from the OP. I think it was a mix up.

I think everyone is right about this information being wrong. I kept reading and never found it in the press release either. Sorry, I really thought I'd found it.

Good to see you on this case!

"A blanket or a scarf?"

All of the above, IMO. People leave a lot of stuff in the hills. I'll bet they have found quite a few blankets, among lots of other items, none of which are related to this case, that we know of. But the one item that made it to media was the reported blanket in the police / dispatcher logs. That item was followed up on because the public wanted to know and it turns out it was a scarf.

I think it's safe to assume Ember is out there somewhere. We just need professional SAR out there if we want to have any hope of finding her.

Even professional SAR needs to be in the right area and I am not sure they have that drilled down yet

Thank you tlcya :heartluv:
You and I are (and likely others) are sailing on the Good Ship Frustration. I am looking at the unreliable, non-TOS compliant source as we speak (it's saved on my iPhone). Unfortunately, the URL is broken, and it is no longer visible where it was originally posted (on FBE), so I couldn't link it if I wanted to). :banghead:

Therefore, at this juncture, it is a :rumor: and, sadly, this is now SOP. :( I've seen posts, comments and entire threads disappear and reappear on FBE. They've been in regards to the recovery of said blanket/scarf, pacifier, the searches, and other highly pertinent information.

IME, this is unlike anything I've ever seen in a MP case. I don't know what to make of the dynamic between FBE and the community. Ordinarily, pages with multiple Admin staff will identify themselves by name or initials, so you know who is posting (to avoid confusion / promote transparency). All of their posts simply say, "We...." :(

I'm choosing my words extremely carefully here. I know, without a doubt, that the community is paying close attention to this case. One must wonder how much authorities are (and we don't know, because they're not saying).
Baby Ember has captured the hearts of SO many, near and far. I pray with all I have that the light of truth and justice will find a way to shine bright enough to cut through everything and find its way to her.
She's all that really matters!

Please remember that MSM pages also get updated, and information outright changes on them. I think that if a MSM link had mentioned the distance, someone here would have quoted it. That did not occur, so I don't think we could ever trust the 1/4 mile as more than rumor.

a qtr mile off the road? sheesh they should have got the dogs out there. if he walked that far to throw the passy then she shouldnt be far from there.
