It looked like the little one was holding some type of stuffed animal when he got out of the car. Poor little sweet pea. Can't imagine how scared and confused those children were.

They still have a horrible time ahead of them. I am glad their dad didnt die in front off them as well. That would have made things so much worse.

i feel so sick!! the live feed cut out right when he was going for the side of the freeway but luckily they showed the rest of it after and you can see that he was pushing the boy away and didn't plan to take him over the side with him. excellent job CHP! prayers for those boys who are now parent-less for the holidays

I am glad they were able to take him alive, too. Those babies are going to have many questions as they get older and I pray dad will step up and give them what they need.

This my take on it after I watched it again. I am a good example of how eye witnesses are not reliable! When they got out of the car, I was afraid of what he was going to do and my mind interpreted what I saw based on that line of thinking.

I think he had the boy by the hand just so HE could get to the edge there. He does let go of his hand and lifts his knee up as if he's about the scale the side but LE took him down before he could do anything. I did notice the youngest was barefoot as well

I was wondering the same. I also pray there are family members that can take the boys and hopefully keep them together as best as possible.

IMO his first instinct was to jump. When he realized that it wasn't as simple as swinging his leg over the side barrier, that gave SWAT the opportunity to move fast and he had no where to go. I'm so glad he didn't and his children didn't need to witness that.

Those poor babies had to be scared to death about what was happening through the whole ordeal. Can't imagine what type of scars this will leave on all of them for the years to come.

I'm so thankful the boys are out of harms way. My deepest condolences for Erica's family, so sad to think of what the boys witnesses. I hope "Dad" can one day provide some answers.

PC said that there is believed to be a 5th child, but that 5th child was with family (4 years old). lojack was started wednesday and they located (or found out about?) the camry wednesday night... so they must have just been watching him?? or knew the general area he was in but had to find him? i dont get it.. maybe more info will come out now that that's been released.
