OMG!! He has grey sweat pants on in the video from Walmart! :furious:

ETA: Sorry for the typo...I was shocked to see the grey sweat pants!

Gotta be big whatever it is, and there's a picture of a toddler on the front of the box.....unless my brain is as pixelated as this picture by the time I enlarge it. It looks like a stroller to me on the picture, a black or very dark colored one.

They already had a new looking stroller in the interview video - I assumed that was the new one for the baby, and the toddler was in a small umbrella stroller kept elsewhere. But I guess the toddler's stroller might be still relatively new looking because they didn't have her for long - but you don't need the big Graco boat in their living room for a toddler.

But it is something baby-related, I'd say, anyway.

All of a sudden I feel the need to go to Walmart. I'd recognize the box faster than I can win this game with these raunchy pictures. Sheesh, I thought they said VIDEO....good grief.

LOL! My first thought was a bar b q.

It might be a double stroller for both the toddler and the new infant.

ETA: If it is a double stroller, I would guess it was a tandem style one, as I can't imagine someone navigating public transit in a double-wide.

D.A. won't charge foster dad in Hasanni case
September 1, 2009
<snipped>
(09-01) 13:50 PDT OAKLAND -- The foster father of Hasanni Campbell will not face criminal charges and will be released from jail, a prosecutor said today, even as police declared that they "know for a fact" that his story of how the 5-year-old Fremont boy disappeared is false.

The Alameda County district attorney's office said it did not have enough against Louis Ross, 38, to build a case that he murdered Hasanni. Assistant District Attorney Tom Rogers, who made the announcement, declined to elaborate but said Oakland police were still investigating.

The decision came a day after Rogers said there would be no charges brought against Ross' fiancee and the boy's foster mother, Jennifer Campbell, 33. Campbell, who is six months pregnant with Ross' child, was arrested Friday on suspicion of being an accessory to murder, the same day Ross was booked on suspicion of murder.

Campbell left Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on Monday afternoon and went straight to a vigil for Hasanni outside the shoe store in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood where Ross said he last saw his foster son Aug. 10.

But at a news conference today, acting Oakland Police Chief Howard Jordan made it clear that investigators didn't believe Ross' account of events.

"We strongly believe and we know for a fact that Hasanni Campbell never made it to Oakland on Aug. 10 to College Avenue at 4:15 as was previously reported," Jordan said.

Police released a DVD and photos showing Hasanni, his year-old sister, Ross and Campbell shopping at a Wal-Mart store in Fremont on Aug. 6. The images were taken from store surveillance cameras.

Officer Jeff Thomason, a police spokesman, said the Wal-Mart trip is "the last time that we have independent information about Hasanni Campbell being alive."

The images show Hasanni walking next to Campbell as she pushes a shopping cart with a big box inside it. Ross is pulling the cart from the front.

Jordan said he respected prosecutors' decision not to charge the couple. But he held out the possibility that Ross and Campbell could be re-arrested.

"We have some more work to do here, and we're going to continue to work diligently to try to solve this case," the chief said.

I would definitely say a baby thing, since the dark picture on the front looks like a baby-seat-shaped something or other. But that's a guess.

These things are total Rorschachs.

"Raunchy" must mean something different down your way... I was momentarily alarmed when I read your post.

I tried my luck at uploading one of the pics to a free website to try and sharpen and clean them up. I can't. I'm either not skilled enough (which may very well be the truth LOL) or the walmart footage is too grainy and pixelated to do anything with it.

Question: What was the temperature on Aug 6 around the time of this video compared to Aug 10 at 4? More hospitable to sweat suits?

ETA: I can't figure out the code in the pics... What time was the video from?

Quoting and answering myself, in typical bicameral style:

August 6 was unseasonably chilly that day, with a low of 16 C, a high of 21 C and a mean of 18 C.

August 10 was a GOOD deal hotter, with a low of 15 C, a high of 32 C and a mean of 23 C.

I noticed that Foster Mom looks to have a light jacket over a shirt? A man shopping in one of the frames has on what looks to be a thin cotton dress shirt? LWR is wearing tee and pants.

Baby is wearing something long sleeved I think. Hasanni is wrapped up like a dang tamale.
knit hat on his head, sweats, and looks like a jacket of some sort over the sweats?

Yup I noticed he is wearing the same color sweat pants that LWR reported he was wearing the supposed date of the alleged abduction.

It is possible Hasanni was prone to chills.

Or there were marks to hide.

Unless LR is not admitting that he went into the shop and stayed there for awhile, (most of his stories say he only dropped the baby at the door and immediately went back to the parking lot) there just doesn't seem to have been enough time for an abduction. Sorry if I sound like a broken record! I know that stranger things have happened.

I can check out the manholes when I walk the dog tonight. However, remember, OPD said at today's conference that they are certain that Hasanni was "not in Oakland" that day. I'm guessing they have photos or footage of LR in the car with Aalyiah and no Hasanni.

That said, I think it's important to explore other angles like manholes and strangers. I just have a feeling that we're going to find out shortly that this story is fairly implausible. And I'm guessing since they keep repeating it, OPD has proof Hasanni really did never make it to Oakland that day.

Well, we know he was alive on the 6th. We know he wasn't alive by sometime prior to Aug 10th at about 3:30 pm (it took LR that long to get to Shuz)....and that he wasn't in Rockridge.

ETA: and for the record, Hasanni walked JUST FINE LOUIS!!! Kinda hard not to notice when you were pushing that cart ninety miles an hour and he was right there with ya every step of the way!
