Yep, even to allow for some time for JC to look up, turn around, whatever. Even carrying a 19-month old and allowing for differences in pedestrian traffic (not sure when reporter walked it; was it a Monday at 4 p.m. ish?).

Let's say 2 minutes round trip. If that's your focus. But 2 minutes isn't much time to snatch a child and disappear from sight completely.

So you hang out on the side until you HEAR JC opening the door. Then you round the corner and the lies begin. Maybe?

oh wow......now THAT works

You're reaching. Because he didn't mention arguing. Remember the inside of the store? It seems that it would take 20 seconds to walk to the back door. Would JC stand around arguing w/him if HC was in the alley alone?

I don't think LR would ever have mentioned arguing because he was trying to maintain this "happy family" image! However, co-workers and customers would have noticed if they witnessed the two of them having "words" in front of the store.

No, he said he saw her through the door. She was at the register. He waved, gestured, whatever, and they made eye contact. He then walked back around to the back and JC was at the back door asking where Hasanni was. (I've done that when picking up my nephew. I look through the door, see him and wave, he waves back, and go back to my car to wait.)

Although if it was his routine to call her and say I'll be there in 10, wouldn't his appearance at the front of the store confuse her a bit? Or would she think "he didn't have time to call and he'll meet me in back"?

And I don't think the driveway was close enough to the front of the store for her to hear the car and know it was his (lots of cars driving through area IIRC).

bolded by me.
It's a small store, not a lot of steps from the front door to the back.

If she had been standing in the storeroom in the back of the store at the moment he arrived (looking for a certain size shoe, for example) she might have heard a car drive up back--depending on how noise-proof the building is, the type surface of the lot, how good her hearing is, how noisy the car engine is.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the dogs found no scent of HC. Not at the door or in the parking lot or out to the street. LE probably used the car seat to give the dogs his scent. Even if LR switched car seats, the dogs would have followed the scent to the HCs' sister. Sort of proves HC was never there and it was all a lie.

Within minutes of not getting a scent for HC, they knew LR was lying. I guess his only option was deny, deny, deny. My kids tried that trick. So we'd sit down and go over the issue point by point until they were bored to tears & confessed.

bolded by me.

I wonder what to make of LR's interview statement that the dogs did indeed pick up Hasanni's scent either leading to, or in, the apt. building next to Shuz? Another case of "open mouth, lies come out"?

I dunno!!! :blowkiss:

But the reporter walked it and it took him 40 seconds to get from the back door to the front. So if he saw her through the door and turned immediately around and went back, it should have taken him approximately one minute total. Then where did he get the "five minutes tops' that he says it took Jennifer to get to the back door, get it open, or whatever? If that were true then he should have already been standing by the back door WITH Hasanni...right? :waitasec:

Right! I had a thought. Suppose he committed the dirty deed at home, put HC in a backpack & WALKED from the house to a manhole cover somewhere near the house & put it down the sewer. Have you ever walked over one in the street and heard water rushing underneath your feet?

Signs are stenciled on the curbs all over the bay area where there's a drain for excess water "Do not put anything harmful down the drain, it flows to the bay". I know they are large drains because while walking at night in Millbrae a huge raccoon came running out of one and growled at me.

I don't live in CA any longer or I'd run over to Fremont & have a look-see!

Planting the seed, that's my guess. He didn't want to come right out and say "well YEAH, and someone in those apartments up there could have grabbed him and carted him up THERE too. Don't look at me, look at them."

That's how I took it anyway.....

Good To Meet all of you. Have, until now, just lurked b/c all of you have a great sixth sense and provides me food for thought.

As to the above comment regarding LE's statement that this little boy is not in Oakland, does anyone know if either F.P's phone records were obtained and gone over for cell tower pings, dates, times of conversations or periods of time there weren't any communication going on?

Hi Novice Seeker - thanks for joining us.

I would imagine LE went through all pings and calls to and from Ross and Jennifer that day. They usually do. I believe them 100% in that the child was never at or around Shuz that day...maybe never. Why do you ask?

Where did you hear this Columbo? I've heard it mentioned but can't find the video.

More than likely the dog handler led the dog to the apt. building to see if it picked up HCs' scent. LR would twist anything to his advantage. How could he possibly know what a dog handler was doing?

He made this claim in one of the interviews early on, where he showed his dissatisfaction with LE. I don't have the time to go back over the videos just now . I'm sure it was LR twisting the truth and spinning. You KNOW if the dogs had picked up a scent, the police would have followed up! Many of LE are parents themselves and take child abductions to heart.

Good Thought, now to see if it can stand up to things LE has commented on.

The dogs, were they only sent to that particular parking lot? or Did they ever cover areas around the home? or even in the home? Were the FP's separated in the home and asked questions such as what was his routine, what was a typical day for the FD and kids, and Oh by the way this sure is a nice home and that beemer is hot, Where did the money come from?
(sorry tend to be snide to some of these suspects)

Sorry, it's the closest to a kind word for them that I'm willing to do.

No apologies necessary here my friend.....you're in GOOD company. When it comes right down to it, I think most of us would prefer a few colorful initials and abbreviations that would no doubt get us banned.

The manhole covers here are not easy to get up. And I think he'd run a big risk of someone seeing him.

Just Googling and dragging the map around, there are all kinds of places he could have put Hasanni.

IF it was Hasanni with him at PYP in the morning (before noon) he still had time to bring him pretty far from the house and get to Shuz by 4.

The details of what he did after PYP until he arrived at Shuz are fuzzy (as pointed out by FF I believe).

He would not have wanted Hasanni found near his house since Hasanni was allegedly kidnapped in Oakland. If he wanted to make it look like a stranger kidnapped and killed Hasanni.

It's sort of hard to tell on the maps how remote an area is. For example, Redwood Regional Forest looks like it might have areas in which you could drive, park, walk in and leave a body and it wouldn't be seen from the road, but I can't tell if there are hiking paths in there that people would be walking on.

I wish a LE-type would give a run-down of what LR said and how the facts and evidence contradict his statements but I don't really expect it. They hope to have enough evidence to charge him; they won't be giving away their secrets.

Hi Noway - Seems to me Ross arranged it so just about anyone could have taken Hasanni. Remember he portrayed his trips to Shuz as a 'routine' and sex offenders can be anywhere. To me, that makes it possible for a lurker (pedophile) around the Shuz neighborhood, Hasanni's neighborhood, or anyone who knew Hasanni, such as at his school, to know where to find the little guy on a particular afternoon. Ross certainly didn't limit his options for a kidnapper did he?

Welcome Novice, I prefer "Dingle Ball" for LR it helps me keep it clean. It's either that or LR anything else will get me in BIG TROUBLE .. I did not think of it , but, I love it.

As for JC there are no other lables I will use other than JC. ( again my words = BIG TROUBLE ) She knows what he was capable of, she's no idiot and he has brandished a sword at her and threatened to leave 'Little Man ( My name for Hasanni ) alone @ the BART.

Those 2 things can not have been the first and only threats.

JC will stay JC in my posts until someone is found Guilty of destroying this precious young boy and leaving his 'Lil Sis all alone in this world.

And that's what ultimately led me in the direction of within 3-5 miles or 10-15 minutes of Rockridge. I think he dumped him on the way and that's why he left an hour early and then wound up running late.

It just doesn't make sense to stage a kidnapping and dump the body right in your own neighborhood or at the local park you hang out in. KC did it, but her staged kidnapping story came well after the body had been disposed of. All of this happened within a relatively short period of time so your body would need to match your crime. He chose Rockridge for a reason, so I figure he put Hasanni somewhere so that if he's found, LR will say "see, the kidnapper dumped him in a hurry....right up the road here. I told you he was kidnapped from Rockridge!" Then the next logical comment, knowing LR, would be "oh, so you think I did something to him at my house, left no trace evidence in my house or my car, and carted him ALL the way to Rockridge where he was found to dump him?"

I don't think Hasanni is permanently gone and will never be found. I think he just dumped him, just like KC did. We just don't know where to look because of the 'fuzziness' surrounding his trip time and route.

A month ago today, August 10, 2009, at 4:15pm Little Man was reported missing. I don't know about ya'll, but my heart is breaking that we haven't found him and held LR/JC responsible yet...

At 4:15pm (pacific time) today just take a minute to remember this sweet faced, spongebob:sponge: loving little angel :angel:with a moment of silence/or prayer...I know I will...:praying:

It's my paranoid suspicion that both were involved in what happened to this little boy. I only hope once the baby is born child services can be assigned to monitor things for awhile.

He wouldn't have to go so far as to lift a manhole cover. There are curbside drains that also have stenciled messages saying the contents flow out to the bay. I hate to say it bu, it would be possible to slip a small body like Hassani's (or parts of a tiny body) into one of these drains.
