Who would be more likely out of Joey or Summer to be using google sketchup?

Would this be for a home improvement or a tool used in the design of fountains?

My friend, who is into 'interior design' and does a lot of renovation work with her husband, uses sketchup to help her pick out color schemes and cabinets, counters etc.

Not so at all. He may think he was stating a fact when he's not. Is the word "definitely" so crucial to you? What if CM said "I'm definitely innocent"? Would you infer that "he was clearly stating a fact"?

"And I think that at the moment he said it, Mr. Merritt was feeling confident, smug, and awfully proud of himself." Now I say, it's definitely not the case. Must be true, right?

They are different statements made in different contexts. Interestingly enough, though, I don't think that Merritt has once openly declared his innocence.

When someone comes up with the exact timeline of known history of cell phone routine for this family and their communication it will be obvious of their exact deaths and movements. People are creatures of habits. I believe that is how this case is going to be proven.

In the Timeline that I did up - here:

https://www.websleuths.com/forums/threads/mcstay-family-comprehensive-timeline.285143/

I start off with Jan. 20, 2010 with how many calls are between Joey & Chase on average before Feb. 4th.

regarding e-notes - from my notes: per Bessie: the e-notes were system messages from the T-Mobile network.

Whatever THAT means!!?? LOL!

With sketchup you can download other peoples models and objects - that is one of the cool community aspects
I've looked at a better screen shot of the exhibit and it says Dine With A View! by Surya Murali - Google 3D Warehouse. It also says Visit Count 2, so presumably it was bookmarked. (for reference it's at 16.19 in Day 17 Part 1)

So this was a dining room model by that person.

My guess is that would be Summer looking at dining room ideas for the house. I can't see it being applicable for EIP business.

It was accessed at 4.56 pm and then at 5.01 pm Google 3D Warehouse was put into the search.

Summer texted Joey at 5.05 pm. She had used the house phone to call him at 4.25 pm.

I'm inclined to think this indicates that he was not at home yet.

Summer's text to him delivers at 5.47 pm and he immediately calls Chase. Joey's phone is in Fallbrook though.

Chase phone connection drops between 5.48 and 9.32 pm.

At 6.08pm Device 5 (home tower?) accesses QuickBooks Online. (This is again accessed on Feb 5th at 6.16 pm)

----

The alternative is that it was Joey using sketchup and Summer is out and texting him at 5.05 pm.

----

If Chase turned off his phone at 5.48 pm it indicates he knew he was going on a journey he did not want to show up on his phone, which means the murders were premeditated. IMO.

Agree

I think this is pretty strong proof Summer is alive at 5pm and Joey is not home yet

I guess what gets me the most on that excellent timeline is CM stops calling JM pretty much after the night of the fourth. There’s like 2 more calls after that.

IIRC, I think Joey mentioned redoing the dining room and either taking down or opening a wall in one of his avo home videos. It was so long ago I’m not 100% certain.

I think the point that others are making is that using that wording is like 'leakage' or 'Freudian slips.' The unconscious mind 'leaks' damaging secrets when someone is nervously trying to hide during a stressful interview.

For example, Wes Hadsell is being interviewed by detectives about his missing stepdaughter, who he killed and disposed of. And they ask him about the last time he saw her, as he was the last one known to be with her---he said they met in a gas station mini-mart for lunch:

WH: "We kind of just hung out and stared at each other, you know. I asked her how she was doing, we talked about a little school, um, we are a family of few words with a lot of love. She departed my presence at I would say about 12:40, 12:45pm. I was actually late getting back to my job and I got reamed from my boss."

That^^^ was obvious leakage. The time that he gave for when she left from their supposed lunch meeting, was actually about the same time that she 'departed this earth.' His unconscious screamed that out to the investigators.

I'm sure there are cases when an innocent person makes a statement that could have been taken to be a Freudian slip. My point is, CM making that statement and using past tense is not being inconsistent with being innocent.

Ok I think this is starting to make sense. Here's my latest offering.

4.18 pm Joey gets back to Fallbrook, but he's not home yet. He calls Chase, call lasts just under 3 mins. He tells Chase to come over later and sort this out, and he'll call him when he gets home.

4.21 pm Joey's phone starts having reception problems. He doesn't receive the 4.25 pm phone call from home but he receives two voicemails at 4.27 pm (home) and 4.31 pm (Chase). I theorize one of them is Summer asking him to buy groceries and the other is Chase asking what time he expects to be home (Chase calls Joey at 4.30 pm but it's not on Joey's call records). Joey can't call them back. He's at the grocery store from 4.35 to 5.35 pm (conjecture).

4.56 pm - 5.01 pm Summer is on the home computer looking at google sketchup.

5.05 pm Summer texts Joey because he hasn't responded to the earlier house call. Her text doesn't deliver because of reception problems.

5.47 pm Joey gets home and plugs in his phone. He immediately gets the text from Summer and other e-Notes and stuff. He calls Chase to let him know he's home. He places the eggs and bananas on the kitchen counter and puts the other groceries away.

5.48 pm Chase leaves Rancho and turns off his phone (my conjecture - based on 6 calls (5 from Cathy) going to voicemail between 6.09 pm and 9.04 pm). He does not use his phone again until 9.32 pm when he calls Cathy from Mira Loma.

6.08 pm Joey logs into QuickBooks, preparing for Chase' visit.

5.47 pm to 6.50 pm (1 hr) Summer feeds the boys a light supper of eggs, gets them ready for bed and they are having some fruit and popcorn when Chase arrives.

6.50-6.55 pm ish Chase arrives at the house. Google maps says door to door 1 hr 20 mins with typical traffic at 5.40 pm on a Thursday, 1 hr 3 mins at other times, 69.3 miles total, that's 65.3 miles on the freeway, my calc. he does av. 69 mph on the freeway. Detectives don't have Joey's arrival at 5.47 pm captured on Mitchley video because he drives to the end of the cul-de-sac and drives back to the house pulling in to the edge of the street to park out of her camera range. Detectives don't pull the video of Chase' arrival because he drives straight past the McStay house - can't show which house it's going to - and reverses back into the driveway which means his headlights swing away from the Mitchley house and aren't in camera range.

1 hour in which he kills them and wraps/crates the bodies.

7.47 pm Chase moves his truck then returns to the house via the back window he's left open. He actually leaves at 8.28 pm when Joey's phone registers a call to his phone, maybe a pocket dial. He is back in Mira Loma at 9.30 pm.

I never thought about the camera capturing Joey and Chase’s ARRIVAL. Good point.

I've been thinking about Chase arriving a lot. The camera should have caught the truck. But why didn't it? It caught the one vehicle passing the house just before the truck left the driveway and the dodge arriving and pulling into the driveway the day before. If Joseph did arrive, it never caught his vehicle. And remember, there are TWO cameras.

Because they only have the video starting at 7pm and he arrived before 7pm. In the video we do see other vehicles driving straight ahead but they haven't analysed them because there would be no proof it related to the McStays house. Same could be true for the hour 6pm to 7pm, no proof it was related. They've only concentrated on the parts they have because they can show them turning into the driveway (the Dodge) and out of the driveway (the unidentified truck). A vehicle driving straight ahead could be going to any house in the cul de sac.

Just my opinion but after supposedly searching for "anger" meds, Summer would not want any visitors. After Joey' s day of a supposed meeting and being on the road twice, I'm also thinking of him relaxing, no visitors welcome!
