Dang katy, you need good headphones LOL

My one son works at Starbucks... they have 1 guy that comes in all the time, doesn't use their wifi or anything, just sits and has his coffee... they think it's 'weird' haha

I know. I don't have my big cushy headphones today. Just the earplugs. Next time I will bring the big ones.

The kids have moved to the outside patio so i can hear now, knock on wood.

I know I discussed it LOL if you look at the screenshots... one is from Dan's account, one is from Chase's IIRC.

or do you mean before the trial????
What I mean is I don't remember seeing any posts pointing out that Dan paid Chase $5000 in Feb 2010. I do remember you posting about seeing Blockbuster video purchases though.

ok... I'm looking at purchases on Feb 6th...

dang, they changed it.. but I saw one that said Victoria Promenade... a quick google shows it's a hotel??? also a $500 withdrawal? I wonder if they had a casino. I wonder if they have a time?

ETA... okay wait, might be a shopping centre? lol LOCALS???? LOL

There is no casino for sure:

Victoria Promenade is a very new kind of shopping center for the city. The corner of the street is very upscale with fountains, lighting, and a plaza rotunda. The pedestrian access is quite a change from the car based development. There is a grand staircase that welcomes walkers into the center. The gas station is one of the nicest stations I have ever seen. There is a two story retail building with elevators and escalators. The jewel of the plaza is the upscale Four Points Sheraton Hotel. Here you can plan a wedding, a party, or a corporate event. The new-urbanism development is much better than the strip mall design. The parking lots finally hidden behind beautiful buildings which sit along the street scape. The plaza is the new, sophisticated kind of shopping center the city of Rancho Cucamonga has needed. More please.

Yes, I think it was discussed. Maybe it wasn't? I know I knew about it lol I do not think I knew that Dan took 10k though... that was new to me. Was that new?

hmm it was only a $60 purchase. So not really enough for a room... and doubt they rent by the hour :D:D:D

Oh, this is sad. Compare the review from 2009 ^^^ to this in 2017:

there seems to be a new property management company. I've noticed a big change in the promenade's upkeep. The closed staircase reeks of urine. There is dust everywhere on top floor hallway & the elevator inspection is expired (it's posted in the elevator!)

Being open minded means I can hear both arguments..... I have so far, and will continue. I don't know which is more likely, and I didn't get to hear all of the testimony this morning, so don't really have an opinion yet.....

I do try to follow your thought processes about this case. That's why I make sure I read all of your posts, and all others as well.

Admittedly, sometimes I become quite confused though. Especially when you stress often you are going to keep an open mind.

What confuses me about that, it means being able to look at both sides impartially, along with all of the evidence that has submitted.

But I havent seen posts where you have given the state's evidence any credit or weight. It seems like you immediately try to discount all of it as it comes in. If I'm misunderstanding you then, I'm truly sorry.

It's just my observation after following you throughout this case from the very beginning. I find your posts very interesting, and consistent.

You seem to believe whatever the DT has said is most likely true over the states evidence.

I truly am not trying to be disrepectful, but why I wonder this Missy, is you seem to dismiss all the evidence the state has presented as really meaning nothing which remotely points to CMs possible guilt, and takes the defense side instead almost every time.

I know we look at CE very differently, You like to weigh it one piece at a time,as each one comes in. which is your right to do it any way you wish, of course.

I base my opinions on what has been already been entered, and not on things to come that haven't even been entered yet.

We both know what the state or defense said in OSs is not evidence of anything. NADA. The judge has made that very clear to the jury, that they are only to consider the evidence they hear from the witness stand as it comes in and not before.

Im just trying to understand your position so I will have a clearer view of what it is.

Tia

For an overview of this evidence it seems to be showing that Chase was not very well off, seemed to live in overdraft for most of the time in 2009. He incurred $200 worth of ATM fees over the period for checking his balance, which is 100 x $2 fee.

My office is very flexible. There are people who are in only a couple days a week, some only a couple times a month. All are in contact via phone, email, and IM. No one shakes their hand when they are in. If my boss (who actually lives in another state) is gone for a couple of weeks, no one would shake his hand when he comes in. That would be weird and awkward.

Our consultants and auditors (ie, a more formal relationship) are in and out frequently - no handshake. If we have a meeting with someone we haven't seen in month or so, and it's a formal meeting, then handshake. Even then, if it's an informal meeting if they are people we know pretty well there likely wouldn't be a handshake.

JM and CM were in constant contact, and may not have seen each other daily, but they certainly saw each other frequently. I would be shocked to see two people who worked together closely for years shake hands when they have an informal meeting for lunch wearing shorts at a chic-fil-a.

Of note, I'm in a formal professional office on the east coast. I've also lived for years in southern California in a similar environment. SoCal is much less formal than the east coast. Add to that JM and CM were in a blue collar business, working in a shop fabricating a product, a much less formal environment. I just can't see them shaking hands.

They may have exchanged paperwork, shared fries, something like that. I've never been to a Chick-fil-a, I don't know if they would be handing food to one another. I would think DNA transfer would be less in those cases than with direct skin to skin contact via a handshake.

Just my observations.

Not to mention McGyver testifying that CM was at JM's on 1/31 and 2/2 2010 so they just saw each other.

MOO

Pathetic. A grown man who has been in the work force for many years . He was relying on this much younger man with a start up company to feed his coffers.

Respectfully snipped by me ocean...

I think it's possible that it may seem that way because I think there are enough of those posts, if I'm being honest. Right from the start of this trial, the defense has done a good job (which is good for appeals, right?) ... they have been able to get many points out on their cross, I don't think that should be ignored, do you?

I also think that it should be stated what the evidence actually is, so yep, you will see me correcting the "facts". It may seem silly... but if one wants to really know the evidence, reading posts that are factually incorrect, are not going to assist in that IMO.

I don't think this case is as clear as it was thought to be. Again, JMO.

I don't think what the DT says is truth, just like I don't think what the Pro's said is true. That is why I'm listening to the evidence. I am sceptical of anything any lawyer says... that's why I want to "see" it for myself :)
