AH, it's a provisional license. Gotcha.

From the California DMV website:

Seems like, from what we've heard, a lot of the people leaving the party at or around 12:30 AM would be in violation of this rule. MOO.
It is probably safe to say that a large portion of them were underage drinking, and possibly doing drugs. Is anyone really surprised that they might get in their vehicle and leave the party after legal driving hours? By that time, it would have been just one more illegal activity. JMO

SS is not “heading up the search”.
Additionally, both SS and JW told people to call them with tips. LE specifically said that these people are protected under the 1st Amendment to say what they want, but strongly urged people to call the LE tip line, submit photos or videos, or submit online anything that may help them figure out what has happened to Kiely.
Right. Call LE tip line. Don’t call another attendee of the party. I hope anyone that has called SS or JW with a tip, takes the time to call their tip into LE

Where did you read this?

Hmmm not sure it reads like that to be honest. "where Kelly may have gone after the party".

As her car is missing too then the assumption would be that she did go somewhere after the party.
What a mess... Bless their hearts...
Independent corroboration is needed. The photos and videos will help with that - we already know she was wearing a white hoodie for awhile...makes sense. They didn't seem to have a bonfire (would have attracted attention, and likely NOT approved outside of a standard campground), and being at close to 6,000 ft at night...would have gotten a bit chilly....
Her car is no longer at the party site...therefore she "went" somewhere...

My gut tells me trafficking is not the case here, but I suppose it's always a theory and possibly why so many bring it up or suspect it. For those that aren't aware, NV has the highest rate of sex trafficking (although most are in Vegas). The Reno area is approx 30 mins or so from Truckee.

This guy was an awesome reporter in the Gabby case and he's now in Truckee

I’m on the ground in Truckee, CA. #Missing #KielyRodni’s whereabouts remain unknown. Got info? I’m all ears. #FindKiely #FindKielyRodni
Wow!! His Twitter feed shows a photo of her car. SS mentioned a sticker of a "bull" on the back of her car....
I just saw the photo of the sticker....it's a RAM...not a bull.
Thanks for sharing the info!! Already clearing up the dust!!

don't know about you guys but I never made curfew...having said that I made it home sooner or later.... thank God. Kiely seems like a sweet girl telling her mom she loves her....not a candidate to run away...I believe Kiely had every intention of making it home that night.
i was my moms worst child and i was never more than 5 minutes late. she would wait up for me and lecture me about how she was so disappointed in me and im not going anywhere for a long time. meanwhile my sisters were always late and she didnt even wait up!!! lol

Hmmm so the dog was buried near the campground but SAR just found the site last night?
Iwonder how close it was to the campground. Was it an area previously searched? Did they miss it the first time? Did someone bury a dog there this past week after the area was searched?
Even with the massive search effort, *if* the dog was buried near the campground this whole time and no one found the burial location until yesterday, what else could have been passed over? If this is the case, it goes to show that even if they don't find traces of KR, it doesn't mean they aren't there.
I'm very curious to know where this location is in conjunction to the last known location of KR.
All MOO
(Also, I'm in no way bashing the search efforts - everyone out there seems to be doing an incredible job.)
this happens often. thats why im not at all convinced she isnt there despite their searches.

It was mentioned people came up from Sac. Sacramento has some issues with Sex Trafficking.

Yep, CA is high as well and the interstate makes drugs, trafficking easier. Reno had Hot August Nights which is a huge tourist draw but Truckee/Tahoe area draws tourists (mostly from CA) for recreational fun during summer and winter. So, I don't believe people attending this party specifically made that drive for the party but they may have already been in the area, heard about it and went. I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities in CA (if you're into drugs, partying, etc) to not warrant driving here specifically for that purpose.

They've flown, dived, and searched using underwater drones....
Yup, but that doesn't move the needle for me at all. I've seen extensive water searches using the same technology initially turn up nothing, only for a vehicle to be found quite a while later.

There was an article yesterday that described divers having practically zero visibility, and having to feel around with their hands.

There's a lot of waterline, and cars can initially drift before they sink.

Yes. And they continue to search But I understand it's pretty deep in certain areas and the water is merky.. Even a Silver SUV would be difficult to locate in the lake.
It took 1.5 years to locate Zacharey Wilks’ overturned vehicle in the brush off the side of active Highway 166, in an area that was originally searched. The car was upside down in a ditch full of weeds and though close to the road, it was hard to see. The gray bottom of the car was basically camouflaged by surrounding vegetation.

I also wonder if (or how often) they might go to Reno because of the 24/7 atmosphere. It's relatively close and Reno is mostly open 24/7 due to gambling/casinos, how many moved their parties (other than going to a private home) or went to Reno to continue the fun, etc?
There was speculation that many party goers left around 1230am--not sure if true and if so, where did they all go?

That, plus they’ve said the silt is really deep on the bottom of that lake. Once that settles after a crash, the vehicles are literally invisible.

Curious if they would see tire tracks tho if she ended up in water. My understanding is many of the bodies of water around there have a decent amount of dirt/sand/beach area. Can anyone more local verify?

So, if this was a valid observation, it seems to coincide with what we know so far.
The cars all arriving around 9:30 pm would indicate that KR and ML, who rode to the party with her, knew what time it was going to get going. It has been stated, not confirmed, that she arrived around 9:45 pm. So that’s not unusual.
If everyone started leaving around 12:30 am, that is unusual. There is no last call at a party in the woods. It could mean a couple of things. One, it was getting cold and the kids decided to go party at a house somewhere. Two, the kids were, in fact, uncomfortable about the group of older guys who crashed the party and were allegedly pushing drugs. The younger crowd decided to take the party elsewhere. Three, something did happen to KR that the kids wanted no part of and they just beat feet. (I think if something major like this had happened, LE would know by now.)
The timing of KR’s last ping, 12:33 am, seems to coincide with this mass exodus. Why?
Does LE know yet where the kids went when they left the campground area? If so, they would probably know whether KR arrived at a second location with them.
Did KR stay behind when the high school kids left? Was it intentional or involuntary? If the high school kids left more or less all together and KR stayed behind, this may be why no one can give LE specifics on KR’s departure.
Has LE identified any of the “older” guys?
If KR left the area when the hs kids left around 12:30, she was either heading home as she told her mom she would or she tried to follow the other kids elsewhere. This would point to a scenario of some kind of MV accident, which would follow the theory of Occam’s razor.
MOO
I like your thinking @OldCop - it aligns with mine currently. I too appreciate that twitter observation that we can't reference since its not from an LE or MSM source. But I am inclined to take it at face value at this point. If true, something spurred a group of cars to leave the party at 12:30. And your three options as to why, jibe with my logic.

A few here, including me, have opined whether KR turned off her phone at 12:33 so it stopped pinging. That could tie to her being part of the group that left at 12:30 and if so, she could have turned off her phone to avoid any tracking by others (e.g. parents). I think she left the party alive (hence LE's recent reference to KR 'went somewhere else') at 12:30.

From there I have three theories swirling in my mind:

1. Kylie was the last car in the chain of cars that left at 12:30, was driving alone, fell behind, and then crashed.
2. Kylie got to the new party location with everyone else, but left sometime later, alone, and then crashed.
3. Either scenario #1 or #2, but instead of crashing, KR found a secluded (aka 'safe') spot or even a parking lot because she was too messed up to drive or think clearly. She parked her car, passed out, and died of an alcohol or drug overdose.

So I am thinking less about foul play and more about a confluence of events that led to her accidental demise. My intuition from the verified and non-verified information at hand, leans towards scenario #3. :(

There seems to be so much emphasis on abduction, might that be taking away attention and resources from the much more likely accident scenario?

Have we heard details about how they have searched the roadsides and ravines on all the possible backroad routes to her family lodge? Have people slowly walked the roadsides looking for the slightest evidence of broken stalks or broken branches near ravines, dropoffs, hillsides?
