I thought so too but there is a ripple nearing just as the footage sweeps towards it which is telling of water skirting the top of the car and I can see a sunroof. But maybe I've been looking at it for too long...

As we near the two-week mark for the search for KR...

Here is an updated LE / MSM Verified Fact List (new is purple).

1) 8/5, 6pm store surveillance image of KR with description of KR's apparel (black body shirt, green dickies, vans, etc.)

2) two sweatshirts / hoodies: a) KR wore a pink & white one at the Prosser Camp party per video; b) a black one she had

3) jewelry KR may have worn include nose ring on left nostril, multiple piercings on both ears, belly piercing, and various jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, and rings

4) markings on KR's skin include a cross tattooed on left rib, "17" tattooed on right hip, and a scar on left arm

5) confirmation KR was at the 8/5-8/6 Prosser Camp party

6) a text to Mom from KR's phone at 8/5, 11:30pm

7) final ping from KR's phone at 8/6, 12:33am from party location (near water and land)

8) KR may have gone somewhere after the Prosser Camp party (but SO says no one has come forward to say they saw KR leave or where KR may have been heading)

9) make, model and license plate # of KR's car (2013 Honda CRV, CA 8YUR127)

10) ram sticker is on back window of KR's car, below the windshield wiper.

11) some adults initially discouraged people and possibly teens coming forward with information, but was resolved as of Tuesday, 8/16 SO press conference. However as of 8/18, SO says some have come forward, many are staying silent.

I don't think it was bogus. Her mom knew she was meeting friends at Starbucks on Saturday morning and even showed up to see if Kiely would be there.

Yes, well, just to explain. A portion of the population in Truckee is what I would call California elites. Truckee and the Tahoe area has grown in population, and the growth is coming from San Francisco, San Jose and LA. There are a lot of boutique type shops around, and obviously a lot of money in the area.

I guess my point is that a lot of people involved in this party have parents with lawyers, and in at least one case a parent that is a lawyer. I'm not making an accusation, just an observation.

exactly, having a "Second home" in cali requires oodles of money. the real estate is high and the taxes are high. many working adults never own one home in this state (myself included)

I want to see something, but I think this is just a rock. It looks a bit like a review mirror, but we would see the rest of the car if that was the case Or any other part of the car.

I agree with @NameUser. I see a rectangular rock / boulder under water. My mind goes there because of the relative size of objects on the banks of the reservoir, and the cairns at the far end. That rectangle thing to me is much smaller than a car. I also don't see any tracks into the water of any note, as the drone pans down past the sand banks. There may be tracks up at the narrow end that go into the water, but looks shallow there. And those tracks should inform the relative size of a car.

I was thinking about a post from pages back where the poster said something to the effect that there is a lot of money in the community and many parents of kids at the party either had lawyers or were lawyers (paraphrasing).

So I'm thinking - assuming this is true and your kid was at the party - at what point would an attorney or parent/attorney advise a kid not to cooperate with LE? In the case of a missing child?

What would a kid have to confide in - or refuse to reveal to - an attorney or parent/attorney that would result in them giving this advice?

If I'm not mistaken, Truckee police have arrested a registered sex offender from the area. I suspected this all along given the fact that because this party was well 'advertised', it clearly gave every low life the perfect opportunity to prey on young, unsuspecting kids. I pray this isn't the case but......

They said not related but it's still a pretty fresh arrest, so of course they will say that as it's probably being ruled out (or in). I hope they 100% confirm or deny soon any connection.

This case may have already been mentioned, but I was searching and bumped his thread. I'm not sure how his case could possibly connect to Kiely, but the circumstances and location are eerie.

LE is stating that no one has come forward and said they saw her leave. I don't know if that is necessarily 'uncooperative' or they simply didn't see her leave. I don't know what the lighting was like, if there was any. And probably none in the parking area. If Kiely switched from the white hoodie to the dark one and wearing the dark pants she may have been out of sight before anyone saw her walking off. The Chelsea Bruck case is mentioned here as similar. MANY saw Chelsea at the party, but I don't think anyone saw her leave outside of her killer.

I wonder how much of the lack of information is due to lack of cooperation or lack of knowledge. Maybe both, but I wouldn't be at all surprised that between the darkness, party goers from out of town that didn't know her and the alcohol we have very few, if any, that actually saw her going toward her car. She might have been seen in the parking lot going to her car, but in the darkness the observer(s) have no idea it is her.

I was thinking if the car rolled there'd be no tracks, except perhaps some further up the bank and with a sharp stop. I see the road isn't straight and swerves which could cause someone to oversteer to stay on it and then potentially roll down the slope.. ( think someone posted an image of tracks like this further up the thread earlier but I am not sure if that's in the same spot. )

If anyone speaks up about providing alcohol or drugs, then they are an instant suspect. If they find her in the lake and that person was the one who supplied, who do you think will get blamed? Even if it’s just a sip of this, hit of that or line of whatever… I am sure that is why anyone would be apprehensive about speaking up. Even if they did not do anything malicious to her- if they provided any substances, they could be charged. This would make any parent prefer to have a lawyer present or advise their children not to talk — unfortunately.

So it makes sense that any parent or lawyer would advise a kid who provided anything illegal or had direct involvement not to talk. Makes perfect sense from a CYA perspective.

But what about kids who did not have direct involvement but have some information that may be helpful? I did not get the impression that LE was getting a lot of this info but maybe they were?
