I had read reports of people jumping out the windows (might have just been one or two).

From the diagram, it appears most of the windows were "gated", only one set of windows on each floor were "ungated". This place was a death trap in so many ways.

Survivor claims 911 call was rerouted to CHP. Her bedroom was downstairs. Supposedly there was smoke alarms, but she believes electrical fire on 1st floor, no lights, lots of smoke.

Diagram of warehouse space. Kind of small print.. It seems to me to be intentionally set up for these parties...illegally. Avoiding taxes and laws to protect patrons. Someone should throw the book at this guy, and freeze any proceeds he has gotten from his negligence.

It's not my intention to start a discussion about what I am about to post because that wouldn't be appropriate, and it might not even be appropriate for me to post the following, in the first place, but I know there are members here who are truly anguished contemplating this tragedy.

This is what helps me. My mind (and I'm probably not alone) naturally goes to what the deceased might or must have experienced before they left this world under circumstances such as these, and it is too much to contemplate. Just plain too much.

This is what I have to think in order to get by: if angels really exist (who knows, but it would be cool if they did---and references to them are all around in popular culture and merchandise, not to mention in ancient culture), they are NOT going to sit idly by and just watch this stuff happen. They are going to usher the souls of the departing ones out and spare their consciousness most of the horrors. That would be the definition of mercy. If there was ever a time for mercy, this would be it.

We all believe/don't different things, but if you can find something that works for you like my angels-to-the-rescue works for me, pull it out and plug it in--because the unfathomable is all around us and it leaves us wondering what in the world to think.

If this helps anybody, it will be worth me getting up the guts to write it. :/

On Christmas Eve, few years ago, we woke up to very loud sirens and fire alarms. Our next door neighbor's tree went up in flames at 3 am. They had left the lights on all night. The tree was at the bottom of their stairs. So they could not get down to the first floor and they had to jump out of the 2nd story with their grandkids. But they had a detached garage and were able to jump onto the roof. [ they threw pillows down first then jumped onto them][grandpa had broken ankle, thats it]

I could not believe how fast the 2nd story went up in flames. The trucks were there last but it was a very hot fire. I don't even like to turn on the tree lights anymore.

also, lesson learned from that. DO NOT put a tree alongside the bottom of a stairwell. Firemen said it was like a perfect fire storm for the smoke and heat to go up the tunnel created by the stairwell.

A few years ago here in Australia, a celebrity chef lost his wife, daughters and their house to a fire caused either directly or indirectly (via a power board) to Christmas tree lights that were left on over night. This was on Christmas night (early am, Boxing Day) by the way. Horrifying.

As for this case, my god. I hope whoever is found responsible is jailed for life. I really do.

Local media just showed some stills from a while back. Unreal -talking about 8-9 foot deep piles of the same cra# that is inside described as "art"

This "artist" nonsense is just silly, its a bunch of dumpster stuff arranged in no order. I would hate to smell a wide array of stuff that has been in dumpsters for god knows how long , retrieved, placed in some perceived artistic order with no air flow- all of this gets stupider the more we go- sorry
