I can't believe the media let this case fade away
You got me excited for a moment! I would like to know how this played out!
I can't believe the media let this case fade away
Sorry about that....I was sure there was more to this case than what had been told to the media...
An arrest warrant has been issued in connection with a mysterious "Gone Girl" kidnapping case in California earlier this year.
On June 29, the FBI obtained a warrant to arrest Matthew Muller, 38, of Orangevale, California, for DH's' alleged kidnapping in Vallejo in March.
A sworn affidavit containing allegations against Muller was unsealed earlier today, the FBI said in a release.
In June, when Muller was arrested in connection with a home invasion robbery in Alamenda County, the FBI said, authorities found similarities to the "Gone Girl" kidnapping.
According to the FBI, Muller may have committed other similar crimes. The investigation is ongoing, the FBI said, and anyone with information about Muller is asked to contact law enforcement.
The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office helped investigators from the Dublin (CA) Police and Alameda County Sheriff's office arrest a 38-year-old man in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday, June 9. Dublin Police had a warrant for the arrest of Matthew Daniel Muller, a suspect in an attempted home invasion robbery that resulted in the assault of the homeowner.
Muller, a resident of Orangevale, CA, was found in his family vacation home on Genoa Avenue in the county portion of the South Shore.
Muller is a Harvard graduate and an attorney, according to Dublin police.
In an unsealed document released by federal prosecutors Monday, investigators said DH and her boyfriend were tied up with zip ties, drugged and blindfolded with goggles. A recorded message then provided instructions and threatened them.
The robbers told the couple that they were professional debt collectors and were at the home to target someone for money.
DH later told authorities that the robbers told her she was not involved and they had been targeting another woman.
The robbers then took DH, and said she would be with them for 48 hours.
DH was then forced to drink a cocktail with a sedative and was "knocked out" before being put inside a trunk and taken to an unknown home.
At the home, DH was secured to a bed with a zip tie and bike lock, according to the criminal complaint.
Calling police claims “absolute crap,” DH’ uncle Jeff Kane told KNBC-TV that maybe “she's seen enough of Vallejo.”
