Maybe after its printed out....(in reference to the long email broken into pages)

Wow a 15 page email from the kidnappers? Sounds like something Jodi Arias would do, lol!!! There is no way kidnappers are going contact police, tell them 15 pages of info, tell what kinds of guns they have, demand the cops apologize to DH and basically threaten the police for doing their jobs. This is so unbelievably stupid!!!

Well for being such smart "oceans 11" type kidnappers how do they explain that they screwed up so bad as to kidnap DH by mistake. They say she wasn't even their target - they were practicing and made a mistake , they meant to kidnap someone else. Then they go on to reassure the cops that they will get it together and kidnap the RIGHT person next time? WOWS!!!

I am stunned by the stupidity as they keep digging a deeper hole, now threatening police, warning of future crimes, etc. They just HAVE to charge DH and whoever was in on this and she basically and is still making it worse (because lets face it, IMHO, she is clearly in on this). But good for her if she is, she has now just racked up additional charges and hopefully left evidence that will convict her

Oh one more things - her uncle lawyer who claimed the "kidnapping was the most tragic tale you would ever want to hear - how ironic that in the voicemail from DH while she was "kidnapped" she mention the GermanWings airplane crash. Hey DH and Uncle Lawyer, the GermanWiings cars IS a tragedy, your story however is NOT the most tragic tale ever but it is certainly contending for the title of the stupidest criminals and dumbest hoax ever!!!

The Los Angeles Times also has received anonymous emails which include details about the alleged kidnapping, and refer to auto thefts and burglaries that the sender says his group committed.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that it received an anonymous email from DH’s alleged abductors, demanding Vallejo police apologize by noon to DH for saying her purported ordeal was a hoax or “I/we may be the direct agent of harm.”

As of 2 p.m., Vallejo police did not report any significant incidents.

“The Mare Island kidnapping was a training mission to test means and methods that would be used on higher net worth targets.”

“We chose $8,500 because it was below the $10,000 reporting threshold, and far enough below that it likely would not be flagged as part of a structured transaction under that prong of the reporting law,” the email read.

They then compare themselves to the cast of Ocean's 11, the famous caper film that starred members of the Rat Pack when it premiered in 1960 and Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and George Clooney in the 2001 remake.

The group consists of three members, two with college educations, and they claim they are also behind a recent string of burglaries and car thefts in the area.

They claim they drilled holes in the window of DH and Quinn's home to gain entry, and then used squirt guns with 'strobe flashlights and laser pointers' attached to them to make it appear as if they were firearms.

They say they played 'calming music' as they went about the abduction, and put monitors on Quinn, 30, so they could make sure he did not go to police.

They then say they put DH in the trunk of Quinn's car and drove off with her.

In the end however, they claim it was a case of mistaken identity, and they did not mean to take DH, thinking that someone else would be in the house.

They say that is why they decided to drop her off in Huntington Beach and that they were 'horrified at what we had done.'

The "kidnappers" are so zen-like! Grab the popcorn, this will be a skit on Saturday Night Live. With all the tragic cases on WS, this provides comic relief. Unfortunately these acts have wasted manpower and money that you have been used to help others.

They kept it at $8,500 to avoid a CTR from needing to be completed at the bank? They are worried that the individual withdrawing cash would be reported for structuring if it was too close to $10,000, but they don't worry about a kidnapping charge? They better stick to kidnapping because they obviously don't understand structuring.

Kidnappers with a conscious. ..car thieves who were just trying something bigger yet demand $8500 in a payment plan? Have I got this right?

these sound like some great kidnappers. got the "wrong" target, car thieves, $8,500. clear winners.

This whole thing just screams "FAKE FAKE FAKE" to me but I guess we'll see what happens.

Yes ,very believable. Kidnap wrong person then as an act of common decency drive 400 miles to the victims relatives home to drop her off. Total screw up......by whom?

They should be looking for the ninjas that let JA live. I know they are the ones responsible for this.

Ok, I'll play along with the "kidnappers" and if I believe their 15 page email, I have some questions.

So who did they THINK was going to be there, who is their intended target? Did anyone else live in the house. I do so hope the kidnappers answer our questions. These letter so remind me of Jodi Arias and her overcompensation in trying to make herself look innocent by conjuring up forged letter and fake, staged diary entries that just went on and on and on, lol!

What's next with these kidnappers? They say they have another victim in mind so perhaps they will continue their courteous and considerate ways and call the victim ahead of time and get permission to kidnap them, make an appointment to kidnap them, tell the victim what to pack a few days ahead of time and tell the victim to be sure to have their ID ready so the kidnappers know they have the right person this time.

So...could it be DH was part of this and used her boyfriend as the practice person to extort money from only they did not anticipate he would call the police?

Lol! Well there is supposedly a roommate. How strange, though... why didn't they stop immediately? Why continue to take her? This is beyond believable.

Actually, the elaborate nature of the whole thing makes it seem realistic, truly.
It does sound like someone with "too much education" of the book kind, not the street kind.
I was watching a show where a man talked about being kidnapped -- his abductor let him go in front of a hospital and apologized in court!
So, the way these kidnappers are acting, doesn't really seem that strange.
But, they also seem like they do some kind of substance...and went to college :)

lol, it seems I keep getting drawn in by this story. I just watch Nightline and this kidnapping story was featured. DH's lawyer said that DH had "reverse Stockholm syndromed" the kidnappers and they ended up feeling so bad for what they did to her.

Yeah, a gentle abduction with good treatment, a ridiculously low ransom amount, a release 2 days later (on Daddy's doorstep!), E-Z pay terms for ransom (LOL!!) and now remorseful kidnappers on a mission to save and protect DH with a 15 page manifesto to introduce themselves to the police and community.

And yet still Uncle Lawyer says this is the most tragic case you can imagine? Oh dear, is the whole family is deeply delusional. Perhaps DH has "reverse Stockholm syndromed" them too.

It sure seems like the "kidnappers" are reluctant to let go of the attention they are receiving and want to keep the drama going. Somebody is clearly seeking attention here!

What next?
Will Uncle Lawyer discover the difference between a real tragedy and a comedy? (Hint: THIS whole fiasco is a comedy)
A declaration of love with a proposal from the kidnappers?
Perhaps an elopement?
Will there be a sex tape leak? ( of couse D won't leak it on purpose, she is simply a oh-so-tragic victim)
Will she hold out for a book deal or a Lifetime movie instead?
Will she crusade and start a foundation for gently kidnapped people to help them keep their lies straight
What will she name this foundation?

Stay tuned for the next update on " Days of our LIES".

Hi all!

I've been kidnapped (by myself) and am asking for WS members to pay my ransom. Although ransom is such a harsh word, I prefer "pay for my boob job". Heck, kidnap is kinda a harsh word too! How about "hanging out while waiting for people to fund my boob job".

It's really the most tragic story you'll ever hear, get your tissues ready! Kids used to call me "a carpenter's dream". *sniff*

*For those who wish to pay my ransom there are payment plans available with approved credit*

These kidnappers are groundbreakers in the future of kidnapping! A new era of the kinder, gentler sort of kidnapper.

:silly: LOL Was that 15 or 18 or 19 pages SINGLE SPACED  Hope LE laminates the first 15 page printout to save ink and to use as they see fit :puke:

I believe this was a stunt concocted to get her off the hook when they heard police might charge them. Maybe attorney came up with it. She still has not stepped forward to tell what happened. They used boyfriends car to kidnap then abandoned it so what car drove her the rest of the way to HB? Waste of police resources and time.

Maybe the person behind these emails never even met DH or boyfriend. One or more hoaxers heard the story saw how pretty DH was on the news came to her defense and wanted to have fun with this story to gain attention.
