From the articles (below) it doesn't sound like the jury will be in court today. So I'm not going to "count" this as a "trial day". Maybe just attorneys & defendant?

Suspected ‘NorCal Rapist’ Roy Charles Waller takes stand at trial

Nov. 13, 2020

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Roy Charles Waller testified in Sacramento court Thursday that he did not commit serial rapes across Northern California that spanned 1991 to 2006, even as the suspected "NorCal Rapist" said he could not explain why his DNA was found at the crime scenes.
[.....]
Prosecutors say Waller’s DNA was found at six of the seven crime scenes. The other came from a surveillance photo allegedly showing Waller using the woman’s ATM card.

Waller has pleaded not guilty to the charges and faces life in prison.

“It’s not me,” Waller testified, although he could not explain the DNA connection.
[.....]
During questioning by the defense on Thursday, Waller went into detail about online dating and chat rooms involving Asian women, particularly of Chinese descent. He would often trail off on tangents, sharing details about his life—collecting motorcycles, playing paintball and taking care of his father until his death. On multiple occasions, the judge would instruct him to directly answer questioning by the defense.
[.....]
The trial began Oct. 19. Closing arguments can begin as early as Monday and a jury may reach a verdict next week.

“A longtime UC Berkeley employee was arrested as the suspected NorCal Rapist — a serial predator accused of sexually assaulting 10 women in six counties over a span of 15 years starting in 1991 — in the latest cold case solved through genealogical records, authorities said Friday.”

NorCal Rapist suspect arrested through DNA match; worked 25 years at UC Berkeley

Where did he live prior to '91? It seems unlikely to me that he started engaging in rape at age 31?? Seems like there's likely more victims in another locale.

Details re-emerge in closing statements of NorCal Rapist trial | abc10.com

Nov. 17, 2020

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After jury instructions were read for well over an hour, the Sacramento County District Attorney wasted no time jumping into closing statements in the trial against the man they believe to be the NorCal Rapist.

"He raped me. He raped me and then asked if I liked it," the District Attorney's prosecutor started their closing statement with a powerful quote from a victim to the court alongside images of multiple survivors of the NorCal Rapist.
[.....]
After around four hours, the prosecution wrapped up their closing arguments showing footage of Waller attempting to hang himself with his sweatshirt strings while in a police interrogation room.

Then, Waller's defense team took the court stage, immediately attempting to undermine the prosecutor's closing statements, hitting on the footage of Waller trying to hang himself saying no one would kill themselves that way and that it was simply a way for him to get out of there, potentially to a hospital.
[.....]
Following the defense's closing statements, the court adjourned around 4:30 p.m. and are expected back Tuesday morning for final rebuttals, then the jury will begin their deliberations where they must make a unanimous decision.

If convicted, Waller could face life in prison.

'NorCal Rapist' Roy Waller Sentenced To 897 Years In Prison

from the article:

Judge Burger-Plavan has sentenced Waller to 459 years plus 438 years to life in prison. That’s a total of 897 years behind bars – roughly 100 years for each of his known victims. Waller maintains his innocence and his lawyer plans to appeal. After serving 25 years, he is eligible for elder parole, but the prosecution is hoping the judge doesn’t see him as that candidate.
