She's got a fairly recent conviction for Grand Theft (Riverside Co. Sheriff's Department) so I'm not surprised. You extort money from people sometimes they get even. So sorry for the worry for her family.

That was my first thought after reading through the extortion document, that she tried this again and someone decided not to play the game.

Can you please post a link to this info?
Thanks in advance

Missing Rancho Mirage woman was convicted of extortion in 2011, court records show
A Rancho Mirage woman who disappeared two weeks ago has a history of arrests in several states, including one that led to a 2011 conviction of extortion involving a 66-year-old man in the Coachella Valley.

Riverside County Superior Court records detail several of Rebecca Rachel Modrall's arrests dating to 2003, when she was about 18 years old. Most occurred in California, but three arrests were in Washington, Oregon and Nevada and two of those involved prostitution.

According to court documents, the victim — a resident of La Quinta or Indian Wells — answered a Craigslist ad for a masseuse while his wife was out of town in October 2009 and Modrall showed up with a second woman. A third woman joined them and they spent the night drinking alcohol and sitting naked in a hot tub.

Modrall and the second woman left separately and the third woman later left by herself in Modrall's vehicle, but crashed. Modrall held the man responsible and demanded $4,200 for car repairs, which he paid out of fear his wife would be told about his encounter with the women.

Demands continued and Modrall next wanted $8,000 before asking for another $25,000 — but only receiving $15,000. She was taken into custody during an attempt to get another $20,000.

it should be easy enought to figure out who she was doing business with from cell phone records right? Sad way to spend one's youth & grim sounding circumstances.
