Question: From what you remember of other cases, do police quietly keep focused on someone (friend or family member, neighbor, etc.) that inserts themselves pretty deeply into the middle of a case?

I'm thinking a glove when I zoom in on the picture.

Except...I see white cording underneath the black...

Yup, I do too!

The phone still feels planted to me. JMO ... and that could mean several possible scenarios. I'm not 100% sold on any of them, though. One keeps rolling through my mind.

Help me understand what specifically makes it feel planted. What would a non-planted phone look like?

My instincts are telling me that this is not voluntary.

IMO, she was grabbed by someone who knew her regular routine and took an opportunity when he thought that no one was watching. I think it was someone local and not too far away.

This lady seemed to have it together by all accounts and I don't think it was suicide nor do I believe that she was stepping out on her husband. She was the type of lady that you would notice on the street and I think that is what drew this person to her.

I think that there is a good chance she is still alive and I am holding onto that hope.

I feel for her children, husband and family.....nobody deserves to have their world blown apart by something like this.

There is some really good sleuthing going on here.
I would want every single one you fellow sleuthers on my case if I were to ever disappear!

To me this looks like an interior side pocket that has been ripped from a jacket. JMO MOO

Or the hood of a jacket. Didn't her jacket have a hood?

I agree. It is, however, very convenient that the phone was easily found there and surprisingly not found earlier. JMO

Now that you say this I can see it maybe being a black latex glove. Do they even make those?

Yes. I have used them to dye my daughter's hair.

It's possible that it's cording, but there are several other smooth, cord-looking twigs or plant stems around the area also. It could just be something like those...

Then...are we to assume that two objects were planted (assuming this belongs to SP)? I just don't know...
I think we don't want to assume it's related. Could have been there before Sherri went missing?

I believe the only thing LE confirmed is the phone with headphones attached. Is this true?

Sooo, what was decided on this? Meaning, are these the earbuds? And the phone...or just the earbuds/strands of hair? Which, going by the picture is not where the mailboxes are...it is on the side of Old Oregon Trail...

There was extensive discussion about this item in an earlier thread. Seems like there was some agreement that LE may be using something to conceal the earbuds underneath. I have no idea myself.

And what is the round silver looking thing at the corner of the yellow marker? Vehicle medallion for a key ring? IDK...

I believe that is the "Channel 7" logo from the news report...it was mentioned waaaay back on another thread...

someone in earlier thread said it looks like pink surveyors tape

Do we know where the phone was actually found yet, grass, road, etc? When send an alert to one of our phones, it makes a loud annoying ding repeatedly. Maybe it was out of sight, and he found it because of the noise, if it still had power.

I thought we decided that was the news channel logo that was producing the video?
