You could be correct in that the perp stupidly thought the bag would go unfounded in this locale.. I definitely agree that the perp was familiar with this area but my feeling is strongly that the perp KNEW WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT THE BAG WOULD BE LOCATED AND COLLECTED AS EVIDENCE..

The "gilded lily" Juicy Couture bag.. its been absolutely paramount in this case from the very start and still remains.. IMO that's no accident, but rather very deliberate in where the bag was placed as well as very deliberate for what was the motive of the Juicy bag to begin with.. for without it IMO this case from the onset would have taken a very different route than what we've seen.. jmo

But back to the placement of the bag being extremely deliberate.. one thing that makes me feel so very strongly about this bag being placed in this specific location with every intention on having it not just found..but found and seized by SAR or LE as evidence WHILE SEARCHING THE SEVERAL MILE RADIUS OF THE FAMILY'S HOME.. that is that just think of the bag with your most basic common sense.. it is direct evidence linked to the victim.. the victim that still remains completely hidden.. concealed.. "DISPOSED OF"..the victim has been successfully(to this point) hidden.. concealed.. "DISPOSED OF"..this perp was of enough sound mind, logical thought processes to have successfully disposed of his victim.. I ask do you really believe that the perp of all the areas, locations, dumpsters, fast food trash cans, gas station dumpsters, reservoirs, ponds.. etc.. etc.. my God the list is endless of places this perp could have made damn sure that this very important key piece of evidence that links directly to his victim WAS NEVER EVER FOUND.. or at the very least made it extremely unlikely and/or difficult to ever find this bag and its all important contents(think burning with nothing but ashes left) ..

Yet none of those things were done.. this bag was within the 2-3mile SAR search radius of the home.. that IMO is no accident.. no coincidence.. no fluke here.. Just with your common sense think why would the perp intentionally drive down Laguna(A DEAD END) ..pullover to that building and either get out and place or pull close enough to successfully toss the bag btwn the cacti and building?? ..when just right there much more successfully have disposed of and hidden the bag by tossing it into the murky blackness of any of those are poo poo ponds??

IMO the reason is simple the perp NEEDED AND INTENDED IT TO BE FOUND WHEN SEARCHING FOR SIERRA.. it needed to be hidden enough to ensure it wasn't accidentally discovered by random person and possibly taken by that person.. nor discovered at all UNTIL THE SEARCH FOR SIERRA WAS UNDERWAY..

that Juicy Couture bag and its contents are not only paramount to us as sleuthers.. MOST IMPORTANTLY THAT BAG IS PARAMOUNT TO OUR PERP IN ESTABLISHING A DIRECTION AWAY FROM HIM, THE REAL PERP, AND AWAY FROM THE REAL CRIME THAT WAS DONE TO HIS VICTIM, SIERRA..

*as always these are nothing but jmo, tho! *

I think when they find Sierra, that will give me a better understanding of the purse placement. My statement was based on what a inexperienced person may do. Someone possibly with lower intelligence, young or unfamiliar with search and rescue operations. I'm sure there are many that would not have any idea how a search is conducted or for that matter think about a search. Why not throw it away at McDonalds or a dumpster? Maybe because of the greater risk of being seen? The pond pictures from the search showed the level very low. Maybe there was only a foot of water? I might be afraid it would float. How would I know if it would float if I hadn't tried it before? For example, if you take a perp that lives with mom or someone else in the country, or a worker that borrows a vehicle and only has a short amount of time to return to where they need to be, the only thought maybe to hide it somewhere and not be seen hiding it. I would rather hide it behind a bush in the middle of nowhere than risk being seen burning it or tossing it into a dumpster (where someone else that opens the dumpster could see it.)

Then there is the other suggestion someone made. It was found and picked up by someone like a worker and then they found out later that it was Sierras so they hid it there. They would not want to draw attention to themselves because of the possiblity of losing their job, being a suspect or fear of deportation.

Many times victims have been found near despite search efforts.

The starving hogs that were found during the search, well I don't even want to go there.

This is looking at it from the perspective of someone that didn't think it out well. Your scenerio is very good also for a thought out plan. I'm just trying to think from all angles.

Snipped by me.... It does seem like LE might have a suspect in mind. They have focused on water areas in Gilroy, and now in Chesbro and Uvas. Of course, it makes sense to think about water areas, but there are a LOT of water areas around the area. Why do they seem to be selecting specific areas? Maybe because they know their suspect has access to those areas, or some sort of association that would connect him with the areas they are searching? :waitasec:

IMHO they are just expanding out more and ruling out areas.i know they have received over 1200 leads so far.

I wish I knew what LE considers to be "leads" in these cases. We always see these huge numbers, sometimes in the thousands, as with Kyron's case, and yet nothing pans out. Do they count every call they get as a lead? Someone calls and says maybe check the retention ponds, is that a "lead"? I mean, seriously, how many good leads can there be in these cases, when at the most one or two people know what happened, and maybe a few people think they may have seen something? Anyway, JMO...it always bugs me to see how many leads and how many man hours are involved in a case...

I like to think that some girls (like myself and my sister) are able to go out "naked" no make up and lightly done hair, and feel comfortable. I have a cousin who doesn't even take her dog out front of her apartment complex to pee without showering, straightening her hair, and putting on a full mask. So I suppose we have to assume Sierra was someone who liked to look her best at all times, and can't think she might have intended to go to school as that photo appears.

Yes.. I do believe there are many of us...just like today have been on the golf course all day with hubby and not a lick of nuttin' on this face(no sunscreen I know I'm soooo bad) and left the house with hair still damp and wavy.. But I can also attest to those like your cuz.. As my very own momma is one of them..
Quick OFF TOPIC perfect example using my mom..

I was probably junior in high school.. Just mom and I living at the homestead.. My bedroom window was facing front of house and one night at about 2-3am I'm awakened by the flashing ambulance lights that are blaring on the walls of my bedroom.. I peek thru the blinds and was shocked to see the damn ambulance was actually parked right there IN OUR DRIVEWAY!!!

I streak across clear over to the the other end of the house to moms bedroom screaming OMG MOM GET UP! HURRY THERE'S AN AMBULANCE IN OUR DRIVEWAY!!HURRY WHAT'S GOING ON!!..mom hops up quickly outta the bed and I'm dashing off to the front door.. Assuming moms right behind me.. Nope.. I get to front door and realize nope..mom isn't behind me.. Of course I'm hooping and hollering as I'm running back to her bedroom..

What I found is something to this day we still laugh about with my making fun of her.. I find my mom in her bathroom in front of her effing vanity!! And the woman has thrown "clothes" on replacing her Jammie's..and is literally making attempts at splattering some of her mask on before she would even go outside to see why in the hell there was a damn ambulance with its lights on in our driveway!?!?!..

Crazy crazy crazy!!!..lol.. So I know exactly what you're speaking of about your cuz and her mask she has to apply before taking her dog out just to pee..lol..

**oh and once I finally drug mom out front we found out that the neighbor had had a heart attack and they had mistakenly pulled in wrong driveway and her hubby had run out to the ambulance as soon as they'd pulled up.. So they just left the ambulance in our drive while they went in and got our neighbor from her house**

OK SORRY TO HAVE VEERED WAAAAY OFF TOPIC:blushing:

Still posting via mobile so plz forgive the large number of errors in my posts;)

Ok I just went to Sierra family website. There are some really strange comments being made on there today under the news tab.one of them is rather long and bizarre

If she was taken in the house which I highly doubt. It makes no sense to take the phone anyway.

it actually makes perfect sense. .if the perp wants to establish the trail of evidence that one would see with an abduction(as many of us have theorized may be the case here) .of course he's gonna take the phone and toss it just exactly as a perp would that had just abducted a teen en route to her bus stop as he's whisking the victim off away from the area...fits perfectly..

Jmo

if the bag was staged, the phone could be also. it might have been tossed from a car sans sierra.

what constitutes staged anyway - anything unnecessary to the crime? deliberately misleading? a bag could be packed and hidden deliberately to stage an abduction. would it be considered staged if the abductor deliberately put it back close to the start point to avoid clues to his or her whereabouts? or is that just part of committing the crime?

I can see the bag both being placed there as a "good enough" spot, or because they actually want it found.
hope they find her soon and someone is bought to justice.

Divers in Chesbro have eliminated four of five items that looked interesting on sonar images in #FindSierra. Still in water. Update at six.

Interesting. Does that mean the 5th item is of interest to LE or all 5 will be eliminated? And considering they plan to search Uvas tomorrow, the question seems to be, is LE doing their due diligence in searching these reservoirs, or some avenue of investigation has led them to this?

Personally, I think a combo of both. Something has maybe steered LE in this direction, while maybe not concrete evidence or lead, enough to put forth the effort of searching these two reservoirs specifically. Of course, being that these bodies of water are in relative location to Sierra's home, they would be searched extensively anyway

I just can't see this story having a happy ending...no matter who is to blame...JMO

I don't think the metal shed on Laguna Rd. was merely a detour to get rid of the J.C. bag. Thank you for the fine photos of that locale that went up today. Some showed the shed from a new angle and it is more sheltered from view than I had realised. I think the shed also served some purpose that was grim. Binding Sierra's wrists was suggested or cuffing them, of course. The building is convenient for that and other activity associated with the crime.

I agree with you Tuba and think you are right on the mark

Surely dogs would have alerted on the shed/building if Sierra had been in there, wouldn't they?

Which comments? The "dungeon"..or the long detailed profile of the perp??

Btw -any of u locals familiar with a spot in Morgan Hill called the "dungeon"?

TIA

They certainly should have yes. I'm still standing by them. They have enough dogs that they use that even if someone was having a bad day they would have others, and would have tried them, so I think the dogs were on the mark on this case.
