I think they are not allowing the family to search.

I'm not one to mince words.
Or tippytoe around the obvious.

If I was thinking of my daughter's necklace at all, it would still
be around her neck.

That's how I would be thinking.
I wouldn't be able to otherwise until forced to.
But...that's just me.

Im sure this is a case of lousy reporting....or,just family saying that they are wanting a "clue" to be found ....ie.necklace,clothing etc.

You can see the handle of the bag the best right up against the building. The woman on the right, I believe the sheriff, leans forward to get a better look. It is right above the white thing.

Eta ok... I think I see a sort of purse shaped thing behind the pipe. I thought it was behind the cactus though? Also for some reason I thougt the handles were pink.

It is from about 1:37 to 1:40. There are a bunch of LE and searchers standing around the side of a building, with some white irrigation pipes.

Yeah, look at the video for those few seconds that it shows the scene. That is Sheriff Laurie Smith all the way to the right checking it out from a couple different angles.

Wwell obviously LE found nothing of concern in their areas of searching today at Chesbro. I saw them check out 3 areas of the reservoir while I watched until they finished. You can hear a pin drop in this mini valley reservoir (Chesbro). There are four houses that overlook the reservoir and look active. No easy task to get a body in that water. Checking Uvas tomorrow...

Regarding ML, she was at the search center but she is NOT allowed to search as we already knew. She was just at the search center checking everybody in at the front. Hoping for any clue.

Edit: the lone boat is of course the underwater SAR boat

Ok I just went to Sierra family website. There are some really strange comments being made on there today under the news tab.one of them is rather long and bizarre

Me too...I can;t imagine being comforted by finding any personal items from Sierra's body at the time she vanished, at this point...if any comfort is to be found, it would be more likely from a stuffed animal or something still in her room...JMO

The straps in the photo look black to me also. I was just looking on Ebxy and there are tons of different styles. I wonder where the original photo of the purse started to circulate. Was it on NG or before that?

So for those who have gone to see this building/cactus, is the place where the purse appears in that video further behind the cactus than it looks there? From Sheriff Laurie Smith's description I imagined the purse as being actually next to the cactus ( ie wedged) such that someone putting it there might think the cactus would deter people from finding it. But from that picture it doesn't really look like it was very close to the cactus at all.
