I have no idea what that is....

I just went into this site - http://www.motorcycleclubsindex.com/Florida.asp

clicked the various organizations and sent emails - via the contact link at the top.

You go, Girl!

Poco you've been doing so much... so much for getting that work done today! Thanks.

I am wracking my brain for more ideas and googling all sorts of Orlando clubs.

BARB - found out what BACA was - Biker's Against Child Abuse - just sent them their own personal email to the Tricounty Chapter in Winter Park, Fl.

Thanks for the tip!

Hey PotatoHead - I guess we'll all see how much all this helped out by the turnout over the next few days, but if a huge group of BIKERS SHOW UP, I wanna know!!!!!!

k, have done these ones:

Orlando Runners Club
Orlando Amateur Radio Club
Orlando Jeep Club
Orlando Road Club

I have to go off for a while. My family needs a little TLC, but I was working from this Goggle search if anyone wants to continue:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1T4GFRD_enCA223CA224&q=orlando++club&start=10&sa=N

I used Poco's letter, with an appropriate intro according to the club and basically asked for them to post it to the web site in any way they can, and to get it out via email lists, if possible.

Poco's letter
PLEASE HELP TEXAS EQUUSEARCH MOUNTED SEARCH AND RECOVERY TEAM LOCATED CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY, AGE 2, ORLANDO FL.

Caylee Marie Anthony, age 2, was last seen on June 9th, 2008. Her mother is currently behind bars and has been unwilling to give any plausible information as to the whereabouts of this child.

Texas EquuSearch is currently in Orlando, Fl, searching for this little girl. I am sure you have heard about this on the news. The first search just began this past Saturday (August 30) and is on its third day.

Volunteers are needed to search for little Caylee. Interested persons can meet at the command center located at: 5750 TG Lee Blvd., Orlando. The rear parking lot behind the Holiday Inn. Time to show is 8:00am ANY DAY!!! All volunteers must bring a photo ID and fill out a volunteer form.

This search will be carried on EVERY DAY until we find her!!!

The turnouts for these searches have been very disappointing, and I am emailing everyone I can think of to please turn out to help in the search of this little girl.

I am working on the American Legion in Orlando - if someone has already done them please let me know, otherwise they are going to get two.......

You should put in there a line about donations of food, snacks and beverages for the searchers are also needed and can be dropped off at the command center.

Thanks everyone who is helping/searching and supporting.

I've contacted the local radio stations and 50 area churches yesterday afternoon.

I think the radio stations should be called early AM and asked to air info. Any takers?

Everyone is doing such a great job. I have been sending emails all day long since 5:30 this morning (and working in between-hahahaha). I know I send at last 50 - mostly to bikers and american legion. Gotta stop for a while, my brain is cooked.

I'm just wondering because it is like we were BOMBARDED with footage of Casey going back to jail, and nobody mentioned anything about a search!!!

Maybe CNN can put this info on there News Ticker at the bottem of the screen!

I think I will e-mail both of them and ask that they do this~

This is a great idea!!!!!

No problem. BACA's great, and the chapter in Galveston helped with Baby Grace. I'm gonna forward the letter from Riley Ann's grandma to the president of that chapter, and ask if he will forward it to the Tricounty Chapter also.

You are WONDERFUL !!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!!!!

Forward, forward, forward..... I am hoping to hear back from at least one organization that I emailed today ----- maybe they are all at a picnic or something.

After all my work today I have one for sure that is showing up tomorrow (well 2 of them) - they are coming from Port St. Lucie. If you meet up with them be sure to thank them - as well as anyone else you see there!!!

My hubby and I joined the search today. We showed up around noon and they were sending out the second shift teams. So if you can't get there at 8am(which by the way people said they waited TWO hours to get put on a team) you can come later and they will still put you on team because they are coming and going all day. It was a bit unorganized and the maps they gave us were outdated and confusing. Our group kinda felt the location we were sent to seemed kinda strange and an unlikely place Casey would have gone, but we still looked. But, it was still nice to go and be involved. I just wish we would have had more clear direction. I did see other groups out in other places that seem to be in more strategic locations and had four wheelers and stuff. Maybe we just had a bit of bad luck with that outing being less organized. Everyone was very nice though and we all shared the same desire to bring closure for little Caylee.

•If you do GO, you MUST MUST take a long sleeve shirt! The mosquitos were TERRIBLE even at 1pm!

•It's VERY HOT and VERY humid, 90 degrees plus heat index.... esp in long pants and long sleeves...so bring lots of water and maybe a rag or bandana you can wet down.

•wear a tank top or short sleeve shirt you can wear under the long sleeves so that when you are not in the woods you can shed the outer layer.

•bring a raincoat or poncho

•wear something other than tennis shoes if possible....preferrably hiking boots or something that can get wet and muddy.

•wear light colors

•BRING BUG SPRAY! you WILL NEED IT!

•Be patient because some things are not well organized

•Bring gloves

•Walking stick to push away brush (it's VERY THICK!)

•Protein bars

•hat or visor

•sunscreen

If the search is still going on next weekend, I will be there on Saturday too.

I told them I could put up fliers to recruit other searchers and asked for more info about things that would need to be on the flyer, but they didn't seem interested, which I found odd. They said the media was doing it and getting the word out...but personally I don't think the media is enough. I'm going to do it anyway though and just put the info I gave you guys on it.

You guys are amazing...for being far away you are definitely getting the word out!

I sent both shows e-mails asking them to put info about needing volunteers for the search on their show. I also asked them to ask people who want to help, but don't want to search, to donate supplies that might be needed.

I also belong to a very big website of stamping ladies, and put the word out on that site. Several people have already replied that they have either gone to help or were planning on going.

I hope and pray that they find something soon!!

I also called the reporter that wrote the last story in the Orlando Sentinel. I asked her to please ask people to volunteer or donate items in her next article.

are they searching daily or just on weekends?

they will be searching daily, and the weekdays will be the most difficult to get volunteers for, so keep up the good work searching for help !!

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Thank you so much for all you did today !!! You are AWESOME, along with everyone else that participated, and is working so hard from afar to get the word out.

Also, remember that even though it might have seemed to be an unlikely location, a search is also very much about positively eliminating possible locations. Your work today enabled TES to mark an entire area off of the possible list, and say "Caylee IS NOT HERE".

Good job !!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For doing what most of us want to do but can't. Hopefully tomorrow will be better organized.

I guess people should should consider bringing their 4-Wheelers if they have them!!!!

I'm sure that this helps cover more territory. Although, I do believe that little Caylee is not far from a road or path that Casey could drive down!!!

Agreed! She just pulled up somewhere and dumped the body ---- thus, the scratches on her trunk...... PLUS, I am guessing she had to get back to get showered and get her makeup on to go out and P A R T Y !!!!!
