Would love to know who owns the land-- someone known to the family? Interested to know if a top from the truck led them here, or if this is based on other information they uncovered-- ie- financial aspect of case

Large pond located near the T intersection of the two roads.

If there's a scanner thread could someone please link. TIA.

Idk, but I would imagine if this is for "recovery" of remains that they expect to find (which we don't know that it is) then I think lE would be using a private channel

Does this seem to be taking place at someone's house/property or just a random parcel of land? Obviously in the country. Anyone know?

Thought I'd read a tweet somewhere about an old home on the property. trying to find it.

FWIW, there is a listing for the L surname in Airdrie

Five Calgary Police vans and cruisers just arrived on scene at the property. @AIR1061FM

Not too crazy about this new format. Anyone else having to refresh page constantly to use the Thanks button? Grrr.

Hopefully this case is getting close to being solved. Holding out hope for a positive outcome for this family.

Hi all, a gentle reminder on social media and :welcome: new members!

Social Networks

Regarding Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and other social networking or blog websites: Links may be used to direct posters to view something on a social networking page. But postings on social networking sites are not considered fact; they are rumor. Copying and pasting, or taking screen caps, directly from these pages is not allowed. Paraphrasing is okay. (Exception: If the Twitter or Facebook post belongs to a verified news station, it may be copied. But a link should still be provided.)

Also, social networking pages may only be linked if they are directly related to a case, i.e. the victim or suspect. We don't want to post to someone's mother, brother, employer, milkman, or postal carrier just because they know the main player. We also NEVER link to minor's pages (unless they are the victim). And be sure that the page actually belongs to the person being discussed. Do not link to someone if you are not 100% sure it is the correct person. And if a social networking is set to private and you get in the back way, you may not post what you find. Private means private!

Tweet says: Police are parked at the end of a very long driveway of the property. Someone's house?? Sounds like it and if you check out her pictures there is one which shows the property from a fair distance and looks like there could be building(s) on the property. Between the gap in the trees you can make out a building.

So if location as per CTV is RR#291 north of Hwy 567 that's super super close to the Airdrie RCMP detachment, just an FYI

According to a few different twitter posts, LE seems to be very focused on this shed on the Airdrie property.
