I am definitely in line with this. Sister might be cleared but what about her pals? I think if Amanda was "confronted" or set up somehow by another female, that female had a look out person or someone else with her for intimidation.I’m local and this case really freaks me out.
There’s no doubt that the neighborhood where her house is located, Castleridge, is a rough area with lots of transient characters.
I think that the sister-in-law and her ‘associates’ need to be looked into more carefully.
I think the vibe is that there are a lot of questions surrounding her death considering all the circumstances….ex: the barking dog in distress, the person running through the yard as seen by the neighbors, the background story with the sister-in-law, the toughness/high crime area of the neighborhood.I am definitely in line with this. Is there a vibe in the area/neighborhood that it was more homicide than accidental do you think?
If murder (which is my stance as obvious lol) I truly hope it's resolved too.I think the vibe is that there are a lot of questions surrounding her death considering all the circumstances….ex: the barking dog in distress, the person running through the yard as seen by the neighbors, the background story with the sister-in-law, the toughness/high crime area of the neighborhood.
The very fact that CPS submitted the story to Unsolved Mysteries tells me that they must have questions too….and are likely looking for tips. Eventually, someone will talk, if this was not an accident.
I wonder, why the chair in the farthest (relatively narrow) corner has fallen over. It didn't make sense to me immediately, when I saw the evidence pic.Apologies if this has already been said but anyone else find it odd that her and her husband had been texting / in communication all day but the minute he can’t get hold of her he suddenly thinks ‘well I’ll wait until I get back Monday to see if she’s ok’. I don’t think he did it but it’s weird to me how communication goes from 100% to nothing. Why not phone a friend or family member to check on her or call the police for a welfare check??
I also think the chair was possibly caused by the dog jumping or similar. I don’t think it was related to her death
I haven’t watched the Netflix show yet but I did wonder if the piggy bank (sheep?) was a red herring and had been broken in a previous unrelated incident. Is it proven, that the piggy bank was constantly placed there on this ledge of the wall (or how to name it)? It seems to be an odd place. I wonder, if the husband confirmed the place of this deco element, which somehow served as a weapon, possibly used by a person, perhaps otherwise "in action".
Is it normal to have stairs leading to the basement and on floor level no banister to the right side?? I for my part get an attack of dizziness, when I only look at that in the pic!I still feel like if she fell down these stairs her head would hit that ledge, that piggy bank is kind of around the corner. I just don't see her head hitting the piggy bank smack down from the angle.

I wondered if it was a red herring and actually the dog did it?I wonder, why the chair in the farthest (relatively narrow) corner has fallen over. It didn't make sense to me immediately, when I saw the evidence pic.
I think so too. The floor looks slippery and dogs are very quick to learnIs it normal to have stairs leading to the basement and on floor level no banister to the right side?? I for my part get an attack of dizziness, when I only look at that in the pic!
Maybe, a dog sometime also fell down/almost fell down from that part of the floor (right side of stairs) and never ever wanted to get near the stairs once more?
I'm curious about that as well. I'm wondering whether that design detail meets building code safety requirements. It looks dangerous, especially for children and anyone with balance issues. Is it normal to have stairs leading to the basement and on floor level no banister to the right side?? Really good thoughts! Was the piggy bank the actual thing that caused her injury or used after as a red herring as you said? I think plausible especially after I read how those type of injuries are usually caused, especially to be severe enough to hit a spot to bleed out within 20 mins or so.I haven’t watched the Netflix show yet but I did wonder if the piggy bank (sheep?) was a red herring and had been broken in a previous unrelated incident.
Also the trouser's being down is odd unless she was on the loo or having some ‘me time’ with her best underwear on whilst on the phone to hubby. Smoking a joint. Maybe unlikely if she had a migraine though
All very strange if you take into account phone , chair etc as well
That would work for the dog but I think she had a cat as well.I think so too. The floor looks slippery and dogs are very quick to learn
I'm with you. Seems hard for me to be a fall whether from stairs or that weird corner spot. If that weird corner spot wouldn't she have to duck kinda to not hit the wall and to hit that piggy bank?Without another person there, nothing about the physics of this fall makes sense to me.

Calgary police ultimately ruled Antoni's death accidental, but say there was never a full consensus on that determination. (Courtesy of Netflix)
''Police spent 14 months investigating the incident, which was immediately thought to be suspicious, before ultimately concluding that Antoni's death was accidental — caused, they deduced, by a fall down the stairs.
But on Wednesday, Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson of the Calgary police homicide unit said many questions linger around Antoni's case and continue to plague investigators, family and friends.
"As homicide investigators, it is our duty to seek closure and provide answers to a victim's family … answers without a shadow of a doubt," said Gregson.''
That said, Sweet added there was never a full consensus on the official ruling of Antoni's death, given that so much was left unexplained.
For example, there was evidence that Antoni had been struck by a piggy bank which was found at the top of the stairs to the basement; ceramic shards from the object were found around Antoni's body. A chair was also left upturned in the main floor.''
The fourth Netflix season features five episodes, each examining a disturbing cold case. It’s currently the most popular show on the streamer on the US, UK and Canada, according to Flixpatrol.Netflix’s number one TV show features a horrifying murder
Unsolved Mysteries season 4 has landed on Netflix and, almost instantly, became its most-watched show in the US and UK. Not checked this one out on Netflix...www.shortlist.com
The most unnerving of the lot is episode two, Body in the Basement. This digs into the case of Amanda Antoni.
In 2015 this young woman’s body was found in her basement. One of the investigating officers described it as “the bloodiest scene I’d ever walked in on.”
