Hi everyone,
The Amber Tuccaro case is one that is close to my heart.
Let's keep Amber and her family in mind, especially on February 20, 2016 when her family & community are scheduled to hold the 3rd annual Amber Alyssa Tuccaro Memorial Round Dance. <mod snip>

Please also check out her family's memorial page on FB: https://www.facebook.com/AmberAlyssaTuccaroMemorialRoundDance/

My sympathies to the Tuccaro family.

Below is a link & video from Nov 12, 2013 from Global News Canada. It features Amber's mom, discussing the billboards that were put up by RCMP for the case. The news segment states that Amber sang everyday growing up. Her mom then shares that Amber used to say that she'd one day be on billboards (as a famous singer). Her mom then breaks down, because Amber is on billboards... but sadly for the wrong reasons.

Welcome to this thread Dark Sleuth, thanks for all the links!
Wonder if there are any recordings of Amber singing, it would be bitter-sweet, but nice to hear her voice happy and without fear. imo.

Thank you for welcoming me, dotr! I don't know if there are any recordings of her voice. I agree with you, it would be bitter-sweet but also important since that is what she dreamed of doing.

I am so frustrated by this case b/c I think it is solvable... if only someone out there would speak up. I am certain that someone, somewhere knows who the man is in the recording.

For some reason her last name Tuccaro sure rings a bell for me...I'm sure I've seen Tuccaro in the news before. Just an observation...

Who killed Amber?

Just throwing this recent news item out there - considering that it is not a great distance between Leduc, where a number of women's remains have been located, and the Stony Plain area...

Two women attacked while using Stony Plain trails

Two women, in two separate incidents, were attacked in Stony Plain this past week while using the trail system.

Shortly after midnight on Monday, RCMP say a 19-year-old woman was walking in the area of 49 Avenue and Brown Street, northbound on a path near the skate park, when a man came up behind her and threw her to the ground.

The man jumped on top of the woman, but she was able to fight him off and run to safety.

Thnx Dotr for this update.

Hoping RCPM catch this guy.

Bumping for Amber!

Someone did speak up Dark Sleuth, in fact 4 women spoke up to CBC (June 8th, 2015 media release) and 3 of those to the RCMP and they didn't listen, in fact they didn't kare. Do you remember the Pickton case? How many times was it said, something real bad is going on down there at that there pig farm? In fact, I recall one woman who was interviewed that had told LE, I done been there and I seen some bad s***. How many times and what does it take in this day and age and with the technology that we have to just look a little deeper or a bit further? Gary Ridgway first became a suspect in 1983 in the Green River killings and was not arrested until November 2001. 18 years from the time they first let him walk.

Imo, Amber's case has been solved and it was 4 women that solved it. Hat's off ladies, you did your part; too bad the rest of the s*** talkers couldn't do theirs. Closer to the heart Dark Sleuth, closer to the heart.

This is one of those cases that I'm fascinated by and I thought for certain there'd be a flurry of activity here! Considering what huge evidence they have in "the voice", I'm really surprised that there's basically no press on it OR that it hasn't been solved.

[h=1]Family members ‘don’t believe in inquiry’ after MMIW meetings postponed[/h] National News | April 18, 2017 by Brandi Morin
Paul Tuccaro was planning to fly to Edmonton from his home in Fort Chipewyan, in northern Alta., to attend the meeting on behalf of his sister Amber Tuccaro.

Amber disappeared in August 2010 during a trip to Edmonton. Her skeletal remains were found two years later in a field near Nisku, just outside the capital city. Her murder remains unsolved.

Tuccaro said it took some time to prepare emotionally to attend the meeting and that even his mother was too upset to go.
“It’s all confusing,” he said about the postponement. “It’s overwhelming. Now imagine all the other people that were planning to go. It’s getting them thinking of their lost loved ones. Now we’re having all these feelings brought up (of our loved ones) only to be told it’s put off until further notice?”

[h=1]Cold cases reviewed by Edmonton homicide detectives ahead of MMIWG hearing[/h]
Det. Ryan Tebb, from the historical homicide unit said 11 files involving a dozen victims have undergone a complete review in the last few months.
“Our job now is to review these files. If there’s DNA send it to the lab. If there’s interviews that we need to do and re-do, we’re going to do them, and various other police techniques we’ll use on these files,” Clark said.

“We’ll be seeing some solves. It’s just going to take time.”

Clark said they’ll also do a better job of keeping family members who have lost loved ones in the loop. He said they’ll meet with them to review the files. They’ll do it annually, even if it just means telling them there’s no new evidence.

“In many of them we do know who did it. We just don’t have the evidence to charge.”
The most recent testing available to us has already been conducted so there’s always hope that technology will advance and we’ll have new techniques that we’ll be able to try in the future,” he explained.

Just read about this girl as it comes across on YouTube. I'm just wondering who was she talking to on the phone and who was recording it? Was there a specific reason for recording it? I'm glad it was recorded nonetheless or the evidence would be slim. I pray for justice for Amber. God bless.

By Marnie Luke, Connie Walker, CBC News Posted: Jun 08, 2015[h=1]Amber Tuccaro's unsolved murder: Do you recognize this voice?[/h]
In 2012, the RCMP released a disturbing audio recording in which Tuccaro is heard talking to the driver, saying, "You better not be taking me anywhere I don't want to go."

The man insists he's driving north, to "50th St.," and while Tuccaro repeats what he's telling her to the person on the other end of the phone, the call ends abruptly.
RCMP investigators believe that rather than driving Tuccaro north into the city, the man actually drove southeast along the rural roads of Leduc County.

RCMP now says this was the only time in Canadian history it released an audio recording to the public in a homicide investigation.
[h=2]Source of call revealed[/h] RCMP have refused to disclose how they got the recording or who Tuccaro was speaking to on her cellphone. But CBC News has learned that the call to Amber came from her brother, who was being held in the Edmonton Remand Centre at the time.

The centre began recording all outgoing calls by inmates earlier in 2010.

CBC article from Sept 5, 2017:

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/amber-tuccaro-murder-reward-1.4275054

The family of Amber Tuccaro is still seeking answers into the murder of their beloved mother, daughter and friend.
Her older brother Paul Tuccaro told reporters Monday that the family is adding funds to the existing $5,000 reward in hopes of getting more information from the public about the case.

Hoping that this is the year her family finally gets some justice!

Fyi the above audio file for the recording does NOT work...tried today (03/08/2018)

The TRUTH WILL OUT!, and There will be a Reckoning, in this Life or the Next!

Thanks for the heads up concerning the non-functioning link.
This one works for sure.
