CP24 live - Crime scene tape is down. PI's are now going in.

Police has turned over the home to the private investigators as of 11:15am this morning (per CP24 broadcast). Steve Ryan, crime specialist on CP24, thinks that the family is not agreeing with what LE will be saying at 1pm. This is his speculation.

That's weird. Steve Ryan often gets it wrong, though. Which is completely okay and understandable, I still respect him and listen to him.

I'm just hoping we actually hear some answers, and that we can upgrade the classification from suspicious. :dunno:

"That changed at 11 a.m. when officers began removing the police tape that had stretched around the property since Dec. 15. Shortly after, at 11:06 a.m., a police car that had been parked in the front of the house left the scene. Former Toronto police Det. Martin Woodhouse, part of Klatt Investigations, hired by the Sherman family, arrived at the home. Woodhouse pulled his car into the driveway and took out a small video camera, appearing to film the outside of the house."

I find he gets it wrong too. I find he always sides with police no matter what they say or do. I get that is because of his background but it is not good for his credibility. IMO

If the scene is being released then I think it means that there is no double homicide in this case. JMO

So does this mean you are speculating murder suicide? Just curious, since this is what I had originally thought.

BBM
Marks that appear to indicate their hands were tied at some point were observed by both the provincial pathologist who conducted the first autopsy, and a second pathologist hired by the Sherman family to do a second post mortem. No ties or ropes were found at the scene.

Just wanted to point out that quite a few people here guessed correctly that both pathologists had the same findings regarding marks on the hands/wrists.

Yes. That is what I believe happened.

Thanks for your input. After learning about the jackets pulled down however, I'm trying to work that out in my head that if it IS a murder suicide (and I felt really strongly about that, and partly still do), how is it possible that both of them ended up that way, and one murdered, and one committed suicide.

Still boggles me.

I agree with you and I think the Fifth Estate episode will have a homicide detective on camera lead us through their theory based on the evidence. JMO

Apotex CEO Jeremy Desai resigns

Interesting... In the article you have provided, quote, "a suit that has put the office under administrative and financial strain."
I wonder how much money? (financial strain)

I am surprised gifts have been allowed. That was stopped in MN decades ago. I don’t see the big deal about this. It will change and then life goes on.

BS was involved in hundreds of suits. He had plenty of lawyers to handle things. Lawsuits take forever and would be costly to the govt. Business as usual for Barry

Come to think of it however, a release just means that the investigators are finished investigating and they are releasing the scene. How does that indicate that it was or wasn't a suicide? We don't even know yet. JMO
