There would appear to be two plausible theories at this point.

1. They are holed up someplace with enough supplies that they don’t need to surface in public and are disciplined and knowledgeable enough not to communicate electronically in a way that can be traced.

2. They are dead in the woods from hypothermia or murder/suicide.

Every day that passes makes theory 2 the more probable.

I do have a fancy version of theory 1, but it requires undetected travel to the Manitoba/Ontario border and knowledge that two guys from Port Alberni are unlikely to have. If they headed out Lake of the Woods with a canoe and basic gear, good luck finding them among the 14,500 islands, and figure on expanding the search to the United States.

What about their abandoned car as evidence, if they got to Lake of the Woods in a vehicle? There are very steep shoreside drops, easy to make a car disappear.
I think theory 2 is your answer right there! I mean, how far can they go? With no more reports of sightings, cars stolen, dead bodies... Like I said before, they want everyone left guessing instead of having to fess up and explain why.

I shouldn't say this but after being on this thread for the better part of the week i am so glad there isn't an eyeroll button or i would have used it way more then i should. Jmo
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: <<< there is one lol

I don't know what to think at this point. I don't know if they got out of there before they burned the RAV4, I don't know if they are in the bush, dead or alive. I don't know if we will get those answers anytime soon. :(

People keep coming back to why the original victims stayed along the highway with the broken down van. There’s a very good chance that no matter where they were, the van would be where they slept. That’s one advantage of these old vans. They are one if the least expensive ways to travel because they are cheap to buy and you can sleep comfortably in them.

The people who passed them on the highway and stopped to help said Lucas mentioned the engine was flooded and they were just going to wait for it to drain so they were having a picnic

This is becoming a complete clown show

Contrary to previous media reports, Saunders said he didn't notice any maps or camping gear in the vehicle — just two boxes and a suit.

"I didn't see no camping gear, no maps, no weapons, no drugs or alcohol."

Happy that I posted earlier, “If you believe the Band bylaw guys, they had physical maps”.

Welcome to Andy Warhol world, where everyone is famous for 15 minutes if a journalist can get, or massage, a good quote :)

From your link -
“I told them that you know you're supposed to stop ... and then they said sorry about that, the driver said sorry, and then I asked them where they came from and they said Vancouver," the constable, who started the role in March, said...”

LD was from Vancouver so the vehicle would’ve also been registered to a Vancouver address. While the RCMP haven’t confirmed the RAV4 belonged to him, I’m certain it did.

I wonder why LE has never stated the RAv4 belonged to LD! I mean it had to have!

Because the RCMP is trying to find a couple of people instead of playing amateur detective, and it doesn’t matter who owned that vehicle?

I think that the police are interested in saying things that might help the public identify these guys, ownership of that car probably not being on the list :)

Lucas would never, ever have left the van. Ingrained in him from birth, don't get stranded on an outback road, and if you do, don't leave your vehicle. Anywhere in the world. There is water in a vehicle, it collects dew overnight, ( you have to lick the whole car ) it provides shelter, and some times in the day it provides shade. The sun glinting off the windshield can be picked up by planes from a fair way away, quite often.

Terrible tales about of people , in that situation leaving their vehicle and setting off on foot, usually at their weakest point.

Today’s press release from Manitoba RCMP:

“The heavy police presence in York Landing has been withdrawn and policing resources in the community is back to normal....

....RCMP resources remain in the Gillam area and will continue to conduct searches in high probability areas for any signs of the suspects. The search of remote areas is being conducted both on foot and in the air.

The informational check-stop at PR 280 and PR 290, the road leading into Gillam, has been removed.

Officers have now completed their door to door canvasses in Fox Lake Cree Nation and the Town of Gillam. To date, over 500 homes have been visited by investigators.

The Royal Canadian Air Force continues to assist with the search....”

Just saw something chilling.CBC reported that now the constable that searches the RAV4 claims he saw no weapons, maps only 2 boxes and a SUIT.Either it was Prof L’s suit or BS took the time to transfer the black suit that he bought? Can’t imagine that though.

I'd sure like to hear a better explanation of what the suit looked like.

I thought Bryer had the black suit at home.

And a better explanation of the boxes. No backpacks? No duffels?

When I'm on a road trip, I have stuff like food, drinks, paper towels, etc in a grocery bag for easy access.

I think it's just sloppy reporting. IIRC, in the video linked above, he said he saw some survival gear, etc. Not sure why the guy would lie about it or change his story. Until we hear otherwise, I'm going with mistakes in news reporting. Which happens often, especially when stories are being covered by reporters who a long way from the action.

It's almost like K&B had that black pen-thingy from Men in Black that erased the memory of everyone they came across.

I'm not surprised at all that Kam's mother hasn't said anything. That family has been going through an absolute nightmare. They started off believing their son was missing, which is an absolutely horrible experience to go through. I cannot even begin to imagine how she felt believing that not only was her son missing, but his truck was found destroyed and there were three deaths as well. Then to be told that her son is not only alive but suspect in those three deaths? It's got to be hell. They're doing the right thing by keeping silent.

I mean, look at Bryers parents. They have spoken to media and everything they say has been criticized, people have even gone as far to comment on his mothers spelling.

I slightly disagree. If they believed they stole his car possibly with a hitch hiking rouse that’s pretty important piece of information! Where I do agree is Canadian LE never releases the whole story only what they want us to know.
