Ongoing posts on the Facebook Page...recent comments indicate a possible sighting...fingers crossed for Matthew and his family!

So sad there has been no new information around this case. No updates on FB since 12/1 and the last reference I could find in MSM (La Presse Jan 1 2015) states that according to various sources he had ties to Irish Mafia, and it hasn't been excluded he could have been the victim of gang slaying.

I pray his family, wife and daughter can one day find answers.

Bumping for Matthew, still missing 8 months later.

It's like everyone just forgot about him... There's been no news whatsoever.

Natasha, I know :(
I used to know him when we were kids, I check online every so often hoping he returned safely..
There was barely a search for him, just a facebook page that I don't even think exists anymore

Bumping for Matthew. He was a great guy with a quick smile who had a way of making people at ease. I hope the family finds closure, whatever the outcome. A year next month. This is one case that haunts me and prompted me to join this site. Matthew and Samantha.

Yes, this one bothers me too.
I wonder if he borrowed money from someone and they came to collect, he didnt have it or all of it and he was "driven" off. I wish there was some updates somewhere, I cant find a facebook page for him. A bump for a fellow Canadian 🍁

The "Please Help Find Matthew Kustra Facebook" page seems to have been removed. I looked a little further and found a group called "Remembering Matthew Kustra" (https://www.facebook.com/groups/RememberingMathewKustra/?ref=br_rs)...I see nothing indicating he was found or has passed, however this group seems more of a place for family and friends to share memories as opposed to getting the word out about his disappearance.

I feel as though the Liquid Lounge arson could be the key here. Who burned down Matthew's bar, and why? Was he involved with something/someone dangerous? We know so little about his lifestyle.

I will note that the pub he was last seen at seems like a pretty average sports bar (although perhaps some locals could weigh in), and that he worked in the construction industry and seemed to have a loving family including a beautiful wife and young daughter...I suppose this is why I'm looking at the arson, because everything else in his life seemed pretty normal and even good, based on what little we know.

Some things that may or may not be relevant:
-About 12 hours prior to the Liquid Lounge arson, at a house a half-hour away, a man died in a basement fire. Traces of liquid firestarter was found at the scene: http://montreal.ctvnews.ca/montreal-man-dies-in-basement-fire-1.1834779
-Liquid Lounge reopened at some point under new ownership: https://www.facebook.com/barliquidlounge
-A man was shot outside of Liquid Lounge in Mar 2015: http://montreal.ctvnews.ca/man-shot-outside-ndg-bar-1.2285322

Yes I agree, this disappearance and the nightclub bombing are connected. I wonder what happened to the co-owner of the nightclub.
I feel that he got involved with an unsavory lot and that he was trying to get out of that situation and turn his life around.
I hope that the Investigators have done everything and have left no stone unturned.
I feel so bad for his family.

The Rosebowl now called the Quielles, is very, very close imo, to where MK was last seen at PJ's Pub.

"His wife told Global News Tuesday that he went to PJ’s Pub on St. Jacques Street to watch a football game on Thursday night, and he never returned home.

Friends who were with him said that he left the table to meet someone, and they never saw him again."

rbbm.

Hopefully the search will continue for Matthew who, as far as we know is still is missing.
Wonder who the unidentified remains may belong to?

imo.
